This was really beautiful. I'll never be happy with the newer seasons because the Elliot we all loved, the Elliot who clearly loved and adored Olivia, would NEVER have left Olivia without at least saying goodbye. He may have put in his papers but he would have told Olivia first. No way she would have been blindsided by Cragen with such huge, life-changing news. AND he would have come back to help when he found out about her being kidnapped. They spent a lot of time developing a wonderfully beautiful and complex character only to destroy it (and his fans) in seconds.
+Nikia Fisher I know how you feel. I was totally let down with the way they ended Elliot's storyline. I still hope they redeem the character a little bit by bringing him back at least for Mariska's final episode (whenever that happens to be). In the meantime, I will be forever grateful to Lyricara for writing the most perfect ending I could ever imagine for those two characters in her story, Atlantis--it totally gave me peace, bc even though it would've never happened on the show, it totally could have, and it's the only way I can ever imagine their story ending now. My favorite line from Atlantis: "His mother had wanted him to build sandcastles. He looks at Olivia and thinks that there isn't enough sand on the beach to build the metropolis that he sees." :'(
Elliot and Olivia totally should be together because we all know that they love each other who ever thinks that Elliot and Olivia should be together go to svu love chat room and it is going to show that elliot and olivia are going out
I will never be satisfied with SVU until El and Liv kiss, date, and/or even have sex.. (okay thats pushing all of our luck lol) but idc if its the last minute of the last and final episode.. If we all can just see the moment come true.. Ex: Olivia overlooking a view and El spots her, both shocked to see each other then while Liv is talking shes cut off by El giving her a long passionate kiss as Liv fights it but then gives in.. If only that could happen.. I will jump and scream of excitement and satisfaction like a hyper 5 year old. Give what the audience wants SVU producers!!! Oh and amazing video btw I freakin loooovee iiitttt!! So many emotions

I still think they should have done a season where Stabler and Olivia come close but decide not to.
I think they came close EMOTIONALLY in between the almost-divorce and Kathy-getting-pregnant...but alas, I think NBC chickened out. I hate that networks are so scared to "go there" with their leads once they've put in the time. I mean, everyone in the world wants love and connection, but let's not ever give it to a single tv character EVER! :smh: For my money, they should have gone through with the divorce, made everyone wait for a couple more seasons, and then let them finally get together in the final season (which should have happened several years ago, imho). I still enjoy the show, but I would have been happier with that.

wxclim8 My own take, maybe I should do a fanfic of it: set during the season where Stabler and his wife were separated. She becomes suspicious and accuses him of having an affair with Olivia. Olivia calms her down and talks sense into her, but confesses that when they first started working together she was attracted to him. Flattered, Stabler tells her he was also attracted to her. They laugh it off but the admission slowly causes tension in their partnership. Climaxes with one of them, I think Stabler, having a dream where he is laying in bed-but when he turns on the light he see's Olivia laying next to him. Realizing how tempted he was causes him to put more effort into saving his marriage, and they all move on from it.
Daniel Ryan ... I don't know, I'm kind of divided here. We know what they feel toward each other and the whole 'will-they-won't-they' leaves us room to believe it would have happened and gone on to be a happy, healthy relationship. I still believe Elliot is the one for her, but it's obvious we'll never see that. I can accept that they never went there but if they had, there'd be no turning back.
But like you, I've had my own speculations... I wondered if they got together during season 6-season 7, given the whole build up during Fault, Fat, Web, and on into season 8 and the awkwardness during Olivia's return. During Fault, we saw them put each other over the job. We saw Olivia consider herself as someone significant in his life and not just a part of the job..."What about your kids? What about ME?" She's never done that. Even Elliot says, "You AND this job are all I have left." She's not just 'The job' to him at this point. They'd never admit to an affair, but who knows? Then she takes herself out of the equation by asking for a new partner. Dani Beck could have been a rebound after Olivia, because from what we've heard, he's had other flings while he was separated from Kathy.
wxclim8 I agree with you. And it still irks me that NBC left things the way they did, bc regardless of whether Elliot and Olivia ever went there or not...for twelve years they were partners and Elliot knew he was the only person in the world Olivia completely trusted and relied on, and by making him just up and leave, regardless of the reason, they made a character I loved into a dick.
This is prob the greatest E&O vid I have ever seen. That much that I shared it in my multiple social accounts. It is way too beautiful and well made. Made me cry the first time I watched it. And I just rewatch it for the likes of it. Ty very mucho for making an incredible video!!

Gosh, this was fantastic. I remember watching that episode in season 16, the last one, and Liv and Amaro are talking and she completely belittles the relationship she had with Elliot...hell, I don't think they've ever spoken his name since that first episode after he left!...his exit was handled so poorly. This was great.
+lovinlifetothedeath It really was handled very poorly. One of the most disappointing moments of my tv-viewing history was CM's exit from SVU. Such a shame. Oddly enough though, that moment between Amaro and Benson that upset so many people really didn't bother me because she said something to the effect of "Our (Olivia and Elliot's) relationship...whatever it was (implying that it was complicated)...didn't allow room for anything else."--To me that moment finally acknowledged that Olivia was so emotionally wrapped up in Elliot that with him there she was never going to move on...never advance her career (bc she wouldn't have "left him" as a partner) and never move on in her personal life either bc she loved him too much to allow anyone else into the space in her heart that he was occupying (which was unfair to her bc he was unavailable). All of that to say, I was just glad that someone on that show-running team finally had the balls to acknowledge the emotional depth of that relationship...even if it was too little, too late.
hipsbeforehands I agree💯 Olivia & Elliot loved each other and put everything on the line, for better or for worse. She didn't grow so much until he left. But I know deep down she'll always love Elliot and choose him over any man

While I do love the pairing, they never would've worked had they remained partners. They compromised themselves so many times, and that was without romantic entanglement. I definitely think though that something should be done about the abrupt ending of their relationship. The showrunner said that CM will be asked to return whenever the last season happens.

Regarding your question about the abduction storyline...Olivia was actually kidnapped in the final episode of season 14 (last season) and that storyline carried over into the current season (15--which will be over sometime in May).

That was a "deleted scene" that NBC released online. They filmed it but it never actually aired. I'm sure if you wanted to do a little detective work you could figure out which episode it was cut from, but I'm not sure off hand. Hope that helps!
