this Band should be in the Rock and roll hall of fame!!!!
this song is an eazy hof anthem
PEOPLE have to STOP talkin how bands should be bla bla bla
The Rock n Roll hall etc is a JOKE and irrelevant..
Just look who is inducted.. 😐
In the mid 70's I was a kid serving in the Navy aboard the USS America ( aircraft carrier). In 1976 we had been in the Mediterranean for most of the year and were getting ready to go back to the world (US) when someone's girlfriend sent him a Boston cassette tape. It just blew us away. By the time we reached Norfolk a couple of weeks later that tape had been duped hundreds of times. We sun-bathed on the flight deck on the way across the Atlantic listening to Boston and we knew every word to every song by the time we made it home.
This band was way ahead of their time.
They were perfect for their time
yea they are perfect wtf u smokn?
Totally Agree 👍
They were RIGHT ON TIME. I lived it. 1976, 13 years old, in awe (as were all the young 'men' in the neighborhood) of Teri Allen... yeah... yeah... Boston. It was RIGHT ON TIME.

Imagine being in your 20s, working so hard, to live your rock and roll dream, finding bumps in the road, then FINALLY, it happens! Seeing Tom smiling like crazy and enjoy himself not only warms my heart, but it inspires me, a 20-year-old, too. I think that him and Brad have one of the coolest rock and roll stories ever.
Absolutely well said.
Tan guapo Tom con su increíble sonrisa. Muero de amor!!! ❤
Quite possibly the most underrated drummer of that time. He's was awesome.
Brad - RIP - We love and miss you, man.
I'm watching a grainy black and white video from the year after I was born and these guys sound stunning, what talent
This album, this band, changed my world... RIP Brad.
I was born two weeks prior to this concert about 20 minutes away from the stadium! Some years later as a little boy my dad would play Boston on his Onkyo "HiFi" system in the living room. I loved them!
Boston is one of very few bands that sound as good in person as on recordings.
false. almost all bands sound as good as studio versions.. in fact name a band that sound good in studio but bad live.
@@jojojojojojojojojojojojob As a huge fan, I have to say Led Zeppelin were notorious for some subpar live performances despite the very high production quality of their albums. Now again, I am a HUGE fan and I love their live sound, it's raw and it's real, and it's just the four of them with no additional musicians, but it certainly does not sound like their studio sound.
Queen and Journey are up there as well
@@jojojojojojojojojojojojob I've heard some ATROCIOUS Crosby Stills and Nash live recordings....
have you heard Heart, Cheap Trick, and Bon Jovi lately? Tragic. Even in their heydey Zeppelin were frequently garbage live. @@jojojojojojojojojojojojob
They weren't just another band out of Boston they were Superstars
Brad had the best rock and roll voice
May he rest in peace!
But here audio Is no good, maybe due to that year.
Una voz muy dulce romantics
and the best rock and roll hair
Yes, THE best
The singing and harmonies without vocal correction is a testament to their outstanding abilities of the times. Super guitar work.
Were you listening to the same thing I was? Boston is one of my favorite bands of all time. And Brad is a helluva singer...in a studio. But he struggles mightily on stage with his high notes/falsetto.
That drummer's singing was piss poor. A joke
There was NEVER a band like "Boston."
There NEVER WILL BE another like them...
EVER again.
EVER... EVER AGAIN.💕
Classic Rock of the 70's and 80's had those signature bands that were one of a kind and it was a moment in history that will never be again. I remember as I was growing up then. I miss it. Everything seems so manufactured these days. Maybe I'm just getting old. But, the world seems so stale now - a shell of what it was when I was growing up.
RIP Brad. Had the extreme pleasure to meet Brad about 1998 when I was working in Concord, NH. This was during his Beatle juice years and I'll always remember what a kind, gracious man he was. An incredible talent gone way too soon.
Were you as surprised at how much he sounded like the Beatles as I was, I couldn't believe how different his voice was from the Boston songs and how great of a singer he was live, just listen to Brad Delp singing oh darling, Google it if you haven't heard it. He was a generational singer, talent like his comes around once in a whole generation if we're lucky
@@jackasswabbit1625 Amen, brudda.
Tom Scholz is such an underrated guitarist. I am in awe watching and listening to him.
+Joe G So True on Tom. He's just incredible.
+Joe G Very much so, he has such an instantly recognizable tone!
Well he is not one of the most technical, even for the standard of that era, but he sure played some memorable solos and had a sound of his own. The solos on Long time and Hitch a ride are really really great.
Joe G me to
He's a genius!! And his sound is so distinct!!
Much love to Bradley Delp. Love his voice. Thank you Mama for showing me who Boston was!!
Omg someone threw a frisbee at Brad 🤣😭 he was really chill about it which just shows how amazing he was.
Nice to see Tom smiling. Back then it was fun. This is how I remember him.
Brad in my opinion has the classic rock voice
...love...& Music ...
No words can explain how this song touches my soul
Tom was an absolute freakin genius!!!
Boston was the first Rock band album that I bought. And I was about 14 years old. Such great memories. Also this is a band that their music will never get old. Timeless music.
this band still kicking ass in 2021 just like they did in the 70's
Well, we were just another band out of Boston
On the road and tryin' to make ends meet
Playin' all the bars, sleepin' in our cars
And we practiced right out in the street
No, we didn't have much money
We barely made enough to survive
But when we got up on stage, and got ready to play
People came alive
Rock and roll band everybody's waitin'
Gettin' crazy, anticipatin'
Love, and music, play, play, play, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Dancin' in the streets of Hyannis
We were getting pretty good at the game
People stood in line and didn't seem to mind
You know everybody knew our name
Livin' on rock and roll music
Never worried 'bout the things we were missin'
When we got up on stage
And got ready to play everybody'd listen
Rock and roll band everybody's waitin'
Gettin' crazy, anticipatin'
Love, and music, play, play, play, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Playin' for a week in Rhode Island
A man came to the stage one night
He smoked a big cigar
Drove a Cadillac car and said
Boys, I think this band's outta sight
Sign a record company contract
You know I've got great expectations
When I hear you on the car radio
You're gonna be a sensation
Rock and roll band everybody's waitin'
Gettin' crazy, anticipatin'
Love, and music, play, play, play, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Awesome, thanks for posting
the very first concert I ever saw....Ironically I saw it in the old Boston Gardens........I was just a kid in middle school and was fascinated at all the funny smelling cigarettes people were smoking.
Man, that was one of my early concerts. Giants stadium was a great place to see a show.
This song is on my top 5 all time. Great band
Love this song
Awesome
Great voice
Boston's so bad ass! Rock n' Roll Band song one of my very favorites
Their heart came through their music! Incredible, hard working musiians❤️💕🙏😘
Brad Delp's Voice Is Great L I V E Also ! RIP ! Sending Love !
Oh if I had a time machine
That's great quality footage for 79!
2 words...BAD & ASS!!!
they are singing.a bio of their band... and most bands, in rock, pop , hip hop, r&b , country, jazz....Their song /story is somewhat universal... Great then..GREAT now..GREAT FOREVER..
Awesome Band
RIP Brad, great performer
One of the best bands ever! ❤️
Great lovely band.
Good old Boston, exellent
amazing vocals!
I THINK ABOUT THE INVENTOR OF THE GUITAR SEEING THIS GROUP AND OTHER AWESOME GUITARISTS if he or she were still alive and I know the inventor would not believe how the guitar evolved in how greatly it is played!!!!
I wish I was there
They were on my bucket list. Now never going to happen. :(
Boston,Eagles,Creedence...
this good formation !!!
Great rock song and a great rock band, Boston and don’t look back best two albums
Who's still watching in 2020 ??
Real music from a real band, could you imagine how these guys would have sounded with modern PA equipment? They sounded great without it!!
Brad's voice, Tom's songwriting skills and guitar, the perfect combo for the best band ever.
Agreed
Love their energy
Brad is a phenomenon, i love this group since their debut (France).
Saw them live great show
Barry and Sib are actually doing a great job with the harmony vocals!
backslash68 sib rocks!!
it's funny because in the studio versions of most boston songs the backing vocals are a lot higher than the lead so when it was live they would swap around having brad singing lead and then very high while the backing singers would usually take the lower lead part.
The studio tracks were all Brad He sang all the harmony which was over dubbed His killer falsetto is what your hearing on the album tracks
They have never sounded as good vocalizing as the original members, once Sib, Barry and Fran were out they have not ever have been able to sound as good, even with Brad singing lead the harmonizing has not been no where near as good and I'm a guitar player that learned how to play by listening and pausing and figuring out songs section by section so I have a good ear for the vocalizations
@@classrockin I'm not sure I would
classify any of Brad's singing 'falsetto' .
Delp wore himself out on stage in his early days, but he had more confidence back then
Guitar player is so in to it it’s infectious!
70s n Boston....happy times..
love these guys!! Wish we could have MORE!!!!!!
Amazing those vocals! Almost as good as the studio version!!
where the heck are the crowds?? I LOVE this song & Band!!
You have to realize this was #4 band after a long day in the sun well over 90 degrees at the start in the afternoon when we were hit with a long thunderstorm that chilled the crowd during Tod Rungrren and then the Sun broke thru during the crescendo of High Tides and Green Grass which envigorated us all. Shaft of light right on the band. By the time Boston Came on we were already thru the ringer. It was an endurance test.
Boston unos fenomenos...Thus band was ahed of their band
A friend of mine has a bootleg of this concert DVD it goes from color to Black and White it's about 45 minutes long why isn't this released on a professionally cut DVD I certainly would buy it at least in memory of Brad Delp and I'm really happy to say that I saw Boston twice with Brad Delp and twice with the new singer Boston kicks ass Best debut album in history
Man epic.. thanks so much for sharing this gem!!
lol at 2:57 nothing like getting a frisbee thrown at you while singing and playing guitar loool
At least they and the singer handled it professionally and just kept playing. Some bands would stop and yell at the person.
lol
The great thing about Tom is he played just about every instrument on the album's. He IS Boston
Saw them two weeks before this, in Raleigh, NC.
+Hothero1980 would loved to have lived and experienced that! nice
I envy you man
Hothero1980 Lucky you
I like the tempo. First song a ton of adrenaline but it’s pretty much spot on.
Let's give Boston a break... Trying to play these early Boston songs live must have been difficult. Also, they were dealing with 1970s PA equipment in a large stadium, which was never good. Still a great show from Boston!
People are silly.
situationmoney I think it's Fuckin amazing don't care they more money and balls to back it up. the rock gods these new b.s. singers. Never will touch this EVER!@@
When you were drunk and stoned out of your mind it probably sounded pretty awesome at the time.
Yeah the acoustics in a baseball stadium are terrible.
Excellent post!
Love these guys !! Amazing band all around! Brad Delp the best!!
Good old rock and roll tune
Look at Tom hes having the goddamn time of his life.
He looks like that on every old live video (the others being the music videos for Party and Don't Look Back).
He's watching his creation come to life!
R.I.P BRAD DELP And Sib hashian
yes I agree Joe he invented the rock man and was instrumental for Bostons huge sound.yes a very excellent guitarist.
I was somewhere in that audience!
Wow is SH really pushing the tempo of this tune! I haven't seen this video for years, but came across it again tonight. Brad Delp seems to be trying to get him to slow it down a few BPM, to no avail...lol. Damned drummers.
(I played drums for over 35 years, and may have resembled that remark from time to time.)
rip brad
❤❤
Happy Birthday Brad!
Tom you did it Bro.Thanks for the Art!
Brad Delp and Steve Perry were both much ahead of their times.
Coming to Jones Beach this summer - rock'n Long Island
Rest in Peace Brad and Sib :(
Brad Delp is so underrated (and somewhat unknown) among average music fans.....besides Freddie and Plant, there was no better rock vocalist.
Tom Scholz is a genius.
How is this show not sold out?!
Your just seeing us all after 8 hours of exhausting heat and music and thunderstorms, we all ran for shade and refreshments.
Barry Goudreau was so underrated providing vocal harmonies and switching off lead guitar w/Tom Scholz on the first 2 albums.
RIP brad...
The Best.
Yes yes yes
I am a huge fan.. where can I get an autograph ?
Fran is an excellent bass player!
That is how you come on stage, with a fuckin bad ass guitar solo!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had a feeling this is what they open with
Happy Birthday Brad
Tom's kick - where have I seen that?
Mr scholz... we salute you and your giant ficking brain!!!!
RIP Sib
How is the stadium not full?!
Sad about Brad Delp. Such great talent. Must have been terribly sad at his core.
