This is a very simple decision. If you want to make your health care decisions with your doctor, get a supplement plan. If you want an insurance company to make your health care decisions, get an Advantage plan. That's all you need to know.
I LOVE MY MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT,! Yes expensive but ended up hospitalize for nearly a month in two hospitals ICU’s. Emergency heart surgery, who knew? Then sent to Rehab for a month for cardiac rehab. Now see 4 specialists. Cost to me for all that, BIG FAT ZERO!
It works when it works, but when it doesn’t, you’re out of luck. I have 2 stories. A friend of mine had a rare cancer and was being treated at a cancer center. The treatment stopped working, and they wanted to try a different one but his Medicare Advantage plan wouldn’t cover it. However, Medicare would. He had to wait almost a year until it was time to opt out of his Advantage plan before he could get regular Medicare. Second story - a friend’s 95 year old father lived at home alone and he fell and broke his arm along with several ribs. He was in the hospital for almost a week, and they wanted to send him to rehab, instead of back home. He couldn’t get out of bed alone, nor could he get out of a chair alone. Medicare Advantage plan wouldn’t pay, but Medicare would have. My friend and her husband had to move in with him while he healed. Luckily, her husband had just retired so that was possible.
Heart attack and caught up in red tape. Went straight from operation after brief stay in recovery to a rehab. Medicare rehab gave me one day to appeal the fact that they were sending me home. Dr cardiologist sent me to the heart hospital recovery floor. Then to a second rehab facility From there to on home health care. The first rehab facility tried to sue for ONE DAY FOR $1000. I HAD A SOCIAL WORKER WHO APPEALED IT. I EVENTUALLY WAS ON PHONE WITH A JUDGE WHO RULED IN MY FAVOR..LOTS OF STRESS I HAD A MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLAN. I DON'T UNDERSTAND ANY OF THIS!!!! ITS NOT GOOD FOR MY HEART AND HEALTH GOING FORWARD. I GOT $30 COPAY FOR SPECIALISTS TODAY ! IM PAYING $30 to pay my nurse practitioner who is not a specialist?
@@hoptoi I am confused. I thought you needed to be on regular Medicare first, before you could get onto a Supplement Plan. Then, if Medicare covers it at 80%, the Supplement plan has to pick up the other 20%. Am I missing something here?
Hoptoi. What plan letter did your friend have? F, G, N? Or was it C? C is a medicare advantage plan. They deny everything and you have to fight for treatment. Original medicare is A, B, and a supplement plan, other than C. You pay a high monthly premium but they don't deny coverage
@@watkins2watkins28 hoptoi may be confusing a Medicare supplement/Medigap plan with MA. Like my BIL, who says he has “Medicare,” when he has an MA plan, which means he’s opted out of regular Medicare, which gives private insurers a fixed sum of money every month to take eligible people off their (Medicare) hands.
I am a verified Native American who goes to the IHS Indian Health Clinic. I pay $175 for Part B which leaves me $1700 a month Social Security as a single person. I qualify for Medicaid under my states criteria but I'd only sign up if I accumulated over 5k medical expenses since I have 5k in my HSA to cover that. Cycling 1 hr a day, eating mostly organic, and I go holistic for most things, I think my risk is reduced.
Dr. Weir, I hope that you realize how much your clear concise information is valued. I can not even imagine the challenges of our older population as they navigate through Social Security, Medicare and private insurance quagmires- I am an MD and I am challenged despite my years of medical training. To be able to positively impact others is truly a precious gift and a life well lived. Aloha.
Verizon pays 100% of my United Healthcare Medicare Advantage PPO . They paid 10 year of my wife’s chemo $430K paid for my triple bye pass $190K , I paid a total of $5K over 20 years
I used Dr. Weir's service. I studied my options for the past several months so it was a breeze. I knew exactly what I wanted and Megan helped sign me up with a company available in my area. She made an appointment with me for November to get me signed up for a Part D. Thank you for making this process so easy.

My 92 yr old mom has Medicare advantage that is basically useless for her because she fell & broke her hip. Had surgery, needed to go to a rehab etc. Which is the best for her age? What about my 73 yr old husband? I don’t understand the differences
I live in a rural north central Texas county. I’ve had Advantage and a Supplement. On Advantge you are basically restricted to the local provider office and most further medical care and testing requires a 50-60 mile trip for this. The referrals are ridiculous. I’ve been on a Supplement Plan for the last 2 years and I am thankful for it. The amount of co-pays I had with Advantage were in many cases higher than my supplement premium. No, most of us aren’t going to be healthy into our 70s and 80s. I felt the same way till I fell and fractured my leg in 2002 and now I’ll have to have surgery at a large hospital with two surgeons. My co-pay under my supplement. I also lived in Florida in 2021 and had an Advantage plan in the Pensacola area. What a joke. One doctor for a clinic that we had to drive to who was so busy that we basic were allotted 15 minutes in the visit, not to mention the co-pay. To me, it’s worth the extra I pay for the supplement plan and not have to worry about out of pocket and co-pays. Elderly folks are throwing the dice if they have no backup plans…
That's the way I see it too. I'm 65 and healthy (no medical issues, no meds) and on employer insurance for some more years. When I do retire, I'd feel safer with Medigap rather than MA, even if I don't see a doc once a year or not even that for the first few years. Medical issues will arise as I age, and I'd like the choices and freedoms a Medicare supplement provides.
Medicare Advantage plans generally don't work well in rural areas, where there are few provider choices to begin with. PPO plans give you more flexibility and acceptance than an HMO, but still better off in rural counties with original Medicare + Supplement + Part D drug plan.
I'm like you .I ve had several surgeries and heart bypass. I had aarp united health but they went up to $285 a month. Can you recommend a company that's less money?
I retired and took SS benefits at age 62. I am now 77 and the past 3 years have worked and made $45K a year. Inasmuch as I’ve worked, should my monthly benefit increase. It has not.
FEHB is very similar to Medicare Advantage and has Hugh out of pocket cost for cancer treatment and surgeries especially when it requires hospital stays. Supplement plans are the only way you can protect yourself from significant financial debt. I have friends that had to sell their homes and others that had to liquidate their IRA’s and or 401’s to pay their medical bills. Sir, you are not doing anyone any favors promoting that garbage Medicare Advantage. Medicare brokers make the most commission selling Medicare Advantage plans and a lot less commissions selling supplement plans. That explains while you push the Advantage plans?
@@Titus_von_Amecke SS is averaged on 35 years of the highest wages you earned. So if you had some low wage years, these can be replaced and in effect, it should recalculate the payout in a higher amount. I wouldn't expect much of a change. However, if you already had 35 years of higher wage earnings and were averaged at such, you will probably not get any increase. As for me, I had some very low wage years that may have to be recalulated at FRA. Do I expect a record gain? NO
Thank you so much for so generously sharing your experience and knowledge. I’m a retired math teacher and have found it so confusing to understand what is best to do for myself and husband who is still working. I can’t believe I JUST found you!! I’m so grateful
I am 66 . And currently I have medicare part A and B. No D. I am not sure what plans would be best for me this year. I am looking for the best options.
I was on Aetna Silverscript this year 2024 but they notified me they are going up from $13 a month to $48 a month beginning Jan 2025...so been shopping for a new medicare plan d...have found Wellcare Value Script at $0 a month and awaiting approval after having put in an application online the other day.
My medical insurance plus my deductible was $15,000 a year. Now I’m on Medicare. My supplement plan is only 140 a month. My total deductible is $200 or something weirdly low like that. I would never recommend an advance plan to anyone.
I have been very satisfied with Part A and B and a Healthnet POS plan that also includes Perscription Drugs with the premiums being paid by a former emploryer as aretirement benefit.
I read a policy manual that appeared to have been written by the director of the western region of our local HMO/Medicare Advantage plan. The policy directed their doctors to differentiate between Medicare Advantage patients and patients with regular insurance. The doctors were directed to use cheaper labs, medications and treatments for the Medicare Advantage patients. I also see that many of the Medicare Advantage patients are shuffled off to “physician extenders” - physicians assistants and nurse practitioners. I’m aware of the local Medicare Advantage plan denying standard of care treatments as “experimental” Patients need to know that they are likely to require a physical exam to be eligible to return to a supplement plan, so they may be locked into the Medicare Advantage plan
I have FEP - Blue Cross Blue Shield in addition to Medicare A and B. 70 yrs old just fully retired. I pay a lot per month but don’t have to pay anything for doctor visits hospitalizations. Is this smart or not?
Just turned 65 and work full time. I signed up for A only as I have insurance with more than 20 employees. Do I have to notify SS that I don’t need B yet? And when do I sign up for B. How long before I actually retire?
If i knew and understood this originally, i would never have gotten a supplemental insurance. Probably would have purchased a life insurance policy... i have paid well over $10.000 and now understand if i do need medical care , i still have to pay 4,500 to 6,000+ before it even kicks in, not even covering most things. . At the time i was in an acute illness unable to understand how it works. Hope people think to research early...
Hello Dr. Ed thank you for all your work. I live in Florida. I’ve been on disability 14 years turning 65 in January. So I have been in a medicated vintage with one of those larger companies. Also, I receive the extra help pay for the prescriptions basically. In the past five years with that company and Medicare multiple surgeries multiple hospital visits and plenty of medication. So so me being on disability does that alter your Medicare advantage plan. Don’t have much income to pay for that alphabet soup thank you for your time.
I've never had a problem with United healthcare advantage plan. I've always gotten the treatment I need. Unfortunately the cost of MRI seem to have gone up recently.

I have Medicare Advantage however the hospital has informed us they will be pulling away from the advantage plan. I still owe the hospital money. I see plan G is good. What is your thought?
With supplements, you have a premium for it plus you have a dental premium, a vision premium, and a drug plan premium. Also madigap premiums goes up with age. I like MA and fucusing on healthy lifestyle.

Dr Weir any reason in a hour long video you didn't mention HDG? I see that it's a good compromise between DIS Advantage plans and a medi gap G or N. I'm a new subscriber.
Everyone has to prioritize and decide what is best for them. I wish healthcare wasn't so expensive but we've decided to make it a profit driven industry in order to have the latest and best available. Very debatable. I've had outstanding health care my entire life. The cost has been minimal. In order to maintain that level of care in my 70's and beyond, I'll have to pay.
I have been told that if I didn’t sign up for Medicare when I first retired, I would have to pay a penalty if I switched from an Advantage plan to Medicare. I have been on an Advantage plan for 14 years. Is there any way to avoid that penalty?

I have been on Medicaid in Idaho. I turn 65 tomorrow. I hope i can keep Medicaid and Medicare. Will i lose my Medicaid rx coverage? I live at my church for 2 years and have to visit relatives to shower. Bathroom. But no tub or shower. I cannot drive any longer. My stuff in storage and want to find an apartment i can afford. I applied for Section 8 and HUD but it's a 2 year wait. I might not live that long. I get 1,050.00 social security and $190.00 a month retirement and $138.00 food stamps. I have been watching for my medicare card, but it hasn't come yet.

I know Med Advantage gets a lot of hate (and I am concerned about the impact it seems to be having on rural hospitals) but most of us have been under some sort of managed care insurance plan from our employers all our working lives so the idea of a managaged care plan does not surprise or bother us as much as it might some people. It is a perfect plan, no. If you can afford a supplement plan or need a particular doctor, then go the supplement route. I have saved thousands in premiums, dental care, vision care and more using an Advantage plan for the past six years. I have always managed to find good doctors who accept this insurance. Could this all come back to bite me? Yes. Life is a gamble.
My son gets a small SSI check. SS tells us that he cannot get more because he didn't work enough. Is there a way, or grant that he can live comfortably as a disabled person?

You have to use a network, less coverage than original medicare, have to wait for approval, and is not valid through the USA unless there is an emergency. Medicare A has no fee unless you do not have enough credits for full medicare.
My cousin who studied in the USA, and then got married to an American, n subsequently became a PR. 5 years after they got married, both migrated to her home country. Husband is in his 80s and have been withdrawing SS while living overseas. Back in 2016 her application for spousal benefit was approved, however payments were suspended. Have been trying for several days to call SS office for help, but every 20 mins on hold, SS disconnects her call. She had emailed SS, but have yet to hear from them. Do you have any idea why her payments were suspended?
I am so glad I have a supplement. MA plans have such High In/Out network costs....worse than when I was working with my state employer plan. I don't see how people can pay $0.00/month premium only to have accident or critical illness and carry such a debt of In/out -network cost starting $4000/$6,000 year minimums. I was so shocked! My total G premium is barely 25% $4000 in a year. To each his own I guess

No way to go to a supplement when you're in your 80's. For a couple, the premiums will be $3000 to $5000 a month, possibly more. That is 2 to 3 times more than income for most people. We couldn't even afford the supplement when we first retired in our 60's when the premiums were more manageable. My present MA is way, WAY cheaper than a Supplement. We are in Florida. With our plan there is no monthly fee, 0 hospital, 0 PP, 25 specialist, 0 most meds. I costs us less than $1000 a year TOPS for two of us.
My mother was 94 she has supplemental G she had three Strokes hip surgery in the hospital three times.. she passed away almost 95 she never paid anything out of pocket. And all she had was Social Security but she could pay her premium. So you are making up stories or your insurance company was cheating you. And whatever the doctor said that's what she got and whatever the hospital said she had it. And she paid nothing other than her premium

Who do you recommend ? Need to discuss social security benefits and VA benefits for inlaws. Health problems like Macular degeneration causing problems like inability to drive, cook etc. Mainly I think I need someone for VA benefits to be sure they get all the help they deserve. Thank you for all you do!
Sorry, I don't have any experience at the VA so I can't help you there. My Medicare team can help with Medicare though. Just give them a call at: 888-817-0446
Hi, from your comment here can I assume you are trying to help your in-laws get the proper care and benefits, including Veterans benefits? I am not an expert, but just a family member of a Veteran that tried to do the same. Try these: 1. Check the VAs website, va.gov, for information, resources, contacts, application forms, and more. 2. Contact your in-law's VSO (Veteran's Service Organization) that he uses or find one nearby and get him signed up for a dedicated Representative to assist in all things VA related. It's free. Find them by state and county. 3. Check your local library or senior center for resource flyers regarding benefits for seniors and veterans. 4. There are businesses out there that, for a fee, can help you with forms, applying for benefits or even provide lawyers who can help you with lawsuits if necessary. But I don't recommend going this route unless absolutely necessary. Warning, there are scammers out there, as with everything these days, so be very cautious who you give personal info to. That includes your Veteran's SSN, Govt ID number, DD214 info, DOB, etc. You get the idea. Sadly, there have been some Veteran's who could not get their benefits because someone else has claimed them already. It's best if you can set up an appointment with a VA or VSO Representative for an initial consultation. They can do them over the phone. At some point they will ask to meet your Veteran in person to verify that he is approving you to act on his behalf. Hopefully you get a really good VA/VSO Rep who will guide you through the forest. Best wishes!
G.M. Dr Weir I just found you on utube. Please clarify what ss told me and what i just heard on your surviving spouse info video. I was married 37yrs. My husband passed 4yrs ago. I know i can collect at 60, which is jan 2025 for me. SS advised me to apply 3 months early and said i will get 50% of his benefits. You said on your video i am entitled to 71-100%. Which is it?? TY
From my understanding, you get a percentage of his benefits based on your age. At your full retirement age it would be 100%. At age 60, perhaps 50%. Increased every year until full retirement. This would be if you wait to claim it.
The medical services costs are at an agreed rate between Medicare and the Medical provider. That itself is a hefty discount from the full value of medical service.
Time 3:10pm Saturday Oct 5th: You mentioned a few reasons against a Advantage plan but more reasons against a supplemental plan. I’m confused! I have a County Union plan (Kaiser) I kept after retiring at 64 which has been paid for with my accumulated sick hours. NO DONT DROP "PLAN F" CONGRESS DISCONTINUED "PLAN F" PERMANENTLY (YOU WILL NEVER GET IT BACK) YOU PAY NOTHING OUT POCKET or RECEIVE A DR. BILL IN MAIL. ALL YOU PAY IS YOUR MONTHLY PREMIUM. PLUS EVERYONE HAS TO APPLY FOR PRESCRIPTION "MEDICARE D". NO,NO,NO. NEXT BEST THING NOW LEFT IS "SUPPLEMENT PLAN G" don't forget MEDICARE D for prescription coverage apply for BOTH at SAME TIME (within 60 days of your retirement b-date)😮😮😮
You have the best plan that is no longer offered. If you do decide to change, go with plan G but you will have to pay the part B deductible every year. With F, as long as Medicare accepts the charges you pay nothing at all other than the monthly premium.

A long-term care policy is completely different than Medicare Advantage. MA and traditional Medicare with or without supplement does not cover LTC at all. LTC is not a filler for MA. Hope this makes sense.
If you can afford the high deductible year after year and for the rest of your life and you want to save on premiums, go with the G high deductible. If not, go with straight G; you only have to pay for Medicare’ B deductible.

He’s not gonna be able to tell you that. Due to the sheer fact that depending on the state you live in and which county you live in within that state will determine what Medicare advantage plans are available to you in the first place. Then it is up to you to compare those plans online And they can change every year. Such as perhaps you want a United Healthcare plan or Aetna, etc. Just because you had one like me in another state before I moved to the state my son lived in doesn’t mean you can transfer your plan because no particular insurance company is required to be available every place everywhere. And it really sucks because it is an absolute nightmare trying to compare programs that are available within the state and county. Don’t forget the county because ONE county over from yours might be eligible for a certain advantage plan and your county may not be!!!!! it’s clearly messed up! It should not be allowed or permitted yet it is. I do not know why they call us the United States because there is nothing United about them except for their borders. From laws to income limits and insurance plans available, and all kinds of other things nothing is the same from state to state. Tell me why I have to, have my car title which is paid off, and I moved to another state and have to pay them a couple hundred dollars to print me out a paper that says I now own a car in the second state instead of the first??? Just another way to rip us off! Changing a title from one state to the next when you own the darn car shouldn’t even be a $10 fee if you ask me. All they have to do is type the new information and print up a new title and you have to pay 100s of dollars for this? Nothing makes sense so you know what you gotta go out and look around for help you need.
Oh and by the way, every advantage plan has a different Dental plan….if it has Dental at all. that’s something you have to shop around for while you’re looking at those advantage plans and believe me. It’s like pulling teeth just to get all this information together to compare.

Thank you for sharing this great information. I become disabled at 58 years old. Social security approved my disability, now I am 67 and they are giving me the same amount $1,431.00 . I worked for 35 years. And my husband that couldn't work more at age 62 because he had health issues, he worked for 12 years and the last 11 years before getting sick we decided that he stayed home to take care our children, we always filled income tax as married. He is only getting $11.00 because I was in working compassion for 7 years. Is he supposed to get more money? I always think that I am supposed to get more because 8 years before I got a work accident social security sent me an statement that if I stop working that year I would get $2.300. . Thanks!

This is a very simple decision. If you want to make your health care decisions with your doctor, get a supplement plan. If you want an insurance company to make your health care decisions, get an Advantage plan. That's all you need to know.
That's true, but if you are low income, you may have your doctor, but be living in your car or a tent underneath a bridge.
Thanks for the info
If you are rich, you can afford a supplement, if you are poor you can only get an advantage plan.
Flat rate throughout. Cut foreign aid out.
True
My wife and I have original Medicare with a Supplement. It has worked well for both of us.
yes, because no insurance plan is between you and your doctor, no natter what the republicans say.
Then to a second rehab facility
From there to on home health care.
Verizon pays 100% of my United Healthcare Medicare Advantage PPO . They paid 10 year of my wife’s chemo $430K paid for my triple bye pass $190K , I paid a total of $5K over 20 years

Thank you
I'm like you .I ve had several surgeries and heart bypass. I had aarp united health but they went up to $285 a month. Can you recommend a company that's less money?
Baloney. My plan includes all the major medical providers even with competing health systems.
I retired and took SS benefits at age 62. I am now 77 and the past 3 years have worked and made $45K a year. Inasmuch as I’ve worked, should my monthly benefit increase. It has not.
I believe that once you reach age 70 the amount will not increase except for the COLA's?
No change at all , even though you’re paying SS & taxes you will not get any extra
@@edwinrodeo May I ask why?.... I am planing for the future. My FRA is 02/26 and I am thinking about to continue working to increase my SS benefits.

Welcome!!
I’m aware of the local Medicare Advantage plan denying standard of care treatments as “experimental”
Patients need to know that they are likely to require a physical exam to be eligible to return to a supplement plan, so they may be locked into the Medicare Advantage plan
I worked the postal service and retired. They are making us sign up for Medicare B. Will I still need a supplement
No
I have FEP - Blue Cross Blue Shield in addition to Medicare A and B.
Have you looked at high deductible plan G supplemental? Benefits paid after $2700 (this year) but peace of mind that costs are covered after that.
Sounds like you're talking about an advantage plan
I think they are because it's a 80/20 and nothing really out of pocket

What a well argued, reasoned, written comment!! I agree with you 100%!

Sorry, I don't have any experience at the VA so I can't help you there. My Medicare team can help with Medicare though. Just give them a call at: 888-817-0446
For VA questions & enrollment, call the local VA Medical Center (enrollment office).
Hi, from your comment here can I assume you are trying to help your in-laws get the proper care and benefits, including Veterans benefits? I am not an expert, but just a family member of a Veteran that tried to do the same. Try these:
We have had advantage plans for 15 years and has been the best decision ever, always taking care of us. More power to advantage plan
The hours are running out and I will be paying 600 a month for spouse and myself. I’m not sure if it’s supplemental or advantage.

I currently have supplement F should I drop it and get another plan?
It depends if your premiums are increasing to quickly. If so, it might be a good idea to see if you can find something cheaper. Give us a call at 888-817-0446, or email me at: ed@mygovexpert.com
Hello Ed,First time in your channel.its very informative article..thank you..i will contact you soon...thank you and God bless 🙏

What would be the benefit of having tricare Mutual of Omaha (g) and Medicare? My parent have all three. He’s a retired vet and can afford it, but now he’s terminally ill and I want to make sure my mom has what she needs but doesn’t pay for what she can’t use. Do you have any thoughts.
Can I change from a supplement to advantage if I have not turn 65 yet?
I would never get an Advantage plan. Plan G for me
Yes, it's easy to switch to a Medicare Advantage plan. I would try to keep it if at possible. But if it's a budget issue, give us a call and we'll go over all your options. 888-817-0446 or email me: ed@mygovexpert.com
What is the difference between Medicaid and Medicare? And how to get the Medicaid? Thank you.
I have been on an Advantage Plan and LOVE it! The reduced costs and I can see specialists free or very low cost. You are too invested in talking them down? WHY?
Each situation is different. I wish Part A and Part B covered everything.
@@MyGovExpert it covers enough for me to keep it. I pay $10 for my premium. That’s saves me a substantial amount. Most of my labs are free. As long as I don’t require extended care I will keep it. It’s been almost 10 years and it’s saved me 20k or more. I’m happy.
My husband is 70 and on social security lives in Ohio . He made way more than me. I'm in Kentucky and I'm only on SSI . I'm struggling have heart disease, wondering if I should claim his benefits and I'm on Medicaid , what Medicare and supplements should I get and at what age?
Medicaid is your supplement
You should absolutely check to see if there's any more money there. If you already on Medicare and Medicaid, give us a call and my team can check if there are any more benefits out there for you. 888-817-0446
I’m a gulf war veteran and need help to review my plan. I got sold to Medicare advantage plan through clever care. I just heard from you that this is not advantageous if I am retired veteran. Please advise if I need to go back to my va benefits. Thank you,

I am on part A and part B meficare. Also I have Amblem insurance as a retiree from former employer. I rarely use this insurance plan. Which do you suggest I should have. I've been retired going on 10 years in January 2025. I dont have primary doctor. No meficak record except for a procedure done in March 2018 and vaccines 0 dollars charged. I cannot afford premiums. What do you suggest?
I only have an agent in my city/county, should I go out of my county to find a broker? I'm 68, healthy, live in Michigan ( My agent has me on an advantage plan. ) I want to be sure I'm getting good advice.

Is it true that my Social Security account cannot be audited? I have been told by Social Security employee because I don’t believe that after all I put into it that I only get $1300. Is it true when you fill your w4 and pay extra that is only for your taxes, not your Social Security. That’s what I was just told.

Question. Are you licensed to sell MAPD plans?
Yes, MAPD, Medicare Supplement, Part D, etc...
Would it be a good idea to change my husband from FEHB to a supplemental plan? I don't have him under a survivors benefit and if I pass before him he will be removed. He just got his medicare A and B
I had a store where I couldn't understand how to add items.

I'm a never advantage plan! There is no advantage!
If I have a long term care insurance will it cover some of the gaps in an Advantage Plan ?
A long-term care policy is completely different than Medicare Advantage. MA and traditional Medicare with or without supplement does not cover LTC at all. LTC is not a filler for MA. Hope this makes sense.
I’m trying to decide between G or high deductible G of 2800. Any advice?
If you can afford the high deductible year after year and for the rest of your life and you want to save on premiums, go with the G high deductible. If not, go with straight G; you only have to pay for Medicare’ B deductible.
Do you have any thoughts on the new postal servce 29:51 health benefits?
If Medicare Advantage do not have a monthly payment plan, how are the premiums paid?

🦷🦷🦷 DENTAL ?
WHICH IS BEST?

Oh and by the way, every advantage plan has a different Dental plan….if it has Dental at all. that’s something you have to shop around for while you’re looking at those advantage plans and believe me. It’s like pulling teeth just to get all this information together to compare.

My husband passed away at age 57. What are my options for survivor benefits as a widow. Please explain.
I am 61.5 and retired early with $150/ month
@@Natta-i6f Well, you could begin drawing survivor benefits at any time, At 61 & 1/2 it would be reduced benefits. Your benefit would increase if you wait longer.
Call Social Security and ASK you may qualify now!!
I always think that I am supposed to get more because 8 years before I got a work accident social security sent me an statement that if I stop working that year I would get $2.300. . Thanks!
