Tried doing this myself. Very challenging. I encased a small screw and washer in a base of latex paste next to my eye and next to my left ear. I cut a wooden dowel, painted it brown, and cored out the end of the dowel to the size of the screw. Sounded great in principle but I kinda mis-judged the weight of the dowel and the bouncy ness of the latex paste. The angle of the impalement was great but it drooped and flopped around when I moved. I also made an upper jaw piece and a lower jaw piece. This let me open my mouth quite wide. Might try it again some day.
