I still get chills listening to this incredibly haunting and breathtakingly beautiful song. Neil Diamond is in a class of his own, his voice is unique and so distinctive, he's an amazingly talented entertainer...
One of a very few singers, who can project emotions, through his voice alone. Sitting here tonight, listening to him, and reflecting on the woman, and the marriage I neglected. Not by cheating, but by spending 9-10 months at sea every year. So what? The money was good, but money comes, and it goes. So she tried to tell me. The love we shared was so great, it would have lasted until the day I died. I am now, a lonely old man, who will die the same. I cannot say, that she did not warn me.........10 years later, and I am still not over her.....

The "Jazz Singer" was the first full-length LP I bought with my own piggy bank money as a seven-year-old. It resonated with me then, as is still does now, all these years later. Amazing...
This is not real rock! This is pretentious rock! This is the shit you listen to with your fake friends and drink a martini. Rock is what you drink a beer at a dive bar to. If they played this in any seedy bar, there'd be a big ass brawl!
Thanks for being a fan!! I just wanna appreciate you in particular for being a fan and you should keep supporting me it brings me so much joy that I'm able to put smiles on your faces and hearts.🌾💮🌼🌴🌸💋
I know my generation may laugh-I dream of more talent like this all the time! Will always adore Neil Diamond! As a child, the duet “you don bring me flowers”... love him. Best performer!
This has been one of my favorite songs since I was 15. I'll never forget it. At that time I didn't understand the lyrics, but as I got older.. He is still one of my favorites at 53

I love rock and roll and heavy metal but I have to say I absolutely love this song and Neil Diamond all together. He definitely will live through the ages.

@@nicolehein8285 You're welcome, I have been a fan for over 25 years or more and I can say he's songs and phenomenal. What are your favorite songs by Neil diamond?
I was about ten when this movie came out, and I just got a chance to see it yesterday. It was fabulous, and what I really like Is his singing is honest, like he's really singing the truth, especially when Neil sings Love on The Rocks.
This song is a classic. Neil Diamond is a true artist. This song was put back into my thoughts earlier this week by the Divine, I would say AA Sandalphon who is the Angel of music. I wondered why it was in my thoughts, so played it and realised it was an angelic push forward to leave my marriage and my controlling cold volatile husband. Thank you for this song and all it means for me.
👉 *I was 13.* I was so rooting for the song to be number one... listening to the countdown weekly. But when *John Lennon was shot,* I knew............... that this song would kept off the top spot by the song "(Just Like) Starting Over" by John Lennon. Which is of course a great song too! But the ethereal nature of Diamond's song still gives me chills! 🧊
I remember hearing this song as a really young kid. But now that I'm older and truly listen to this song's lyrics, it makes me want to hold my husband so tight! Heartbreakingly beautiful song!
A milion lies , a thousand hearts , a 100 souls and a ton of drinks. then suddenly the weather changes , then they've got you and all of a sudden your loves on the rocks............tell me what ever happened to those great days !!!!
No doubt Neil Diamond will go down in Musical History. His ability to touch peoples hearts with his lyrics is superbly beautiful and sad, yet often happy too. God Bless you Neil
This was a remake of a movie if the same name (1927). What a talent Neil Diamond is. I say that because when he sings, no one else sounds like he does, you know it’s Neil. A true classic.
Neil Neil Neil. Wonderful Neil Saw him this year at the O2 arena London .his concert was amazing .I never tier of NeilHis music is played most days in my house..I love him and his music . .hope you will be coming back to London .again soon Neil your amazing
This man is magnificent. Grew up with my folks listening to Neil Diamond and obviously being young I didn't appreciate how terrific he is. Now older, got almost all of his albums. Superb artist and excellent film. Regardless of what the critics said.
I've always wondered, is that meant to be an actor playing the moody rock singer, Billy idol in the background of the recording booth
🤔
I don't think so and if it was, it's an inaccurate representation of him - Billy is actually a very nice and humble guy...I think it's just an accidental similarity in appearance.

Ain't no surprise
Just pour me a drink
And I'll tell you some lies
Got nothin' to lose
So you just sing the blues
all the time.
Gave me your heart
You gave me your soul
Then you left me alone here
With nothing to hold
Yesterday's gone
Now all I want
is a smile
First, they say they want you
How they really need you
Suddenly you find you're out there
Walking in a storm
And when they know they have you
Then they really have you
Nothing you can do or say
You've got to leave,
just get away

Just pour me a drink
And I'll tell you some lies
Yesterday's gone

I was about ten when this movie came out, and I just got a chance to see it yesterday. It was fabulous, and what I really like Is his singing is honest, like he's really singing the truth, especially when Neil sings Love on The Rocks.
This was one of the best romantic moments in movie history. Watch Lucy lighting up as Neil sings this one.
👉 *I was 13.* I was so rooting for the song to be
number one... listening to the countdown weekly.
But when *John Lennon was shot,* I knew...............
that this song would kept off the top spot by the
song "(Just Like) Starting Over" by John Lennon.
Which is of course a great song too! But the
ethereal nature of Diamond's song still gives
me chills! 🧊
Since I was a little girl I loved this song 💛 Neil Diamond was was so into his heart. This is music
I remember hearing this song as a really young kid. But now that I'm older and truly listen to this song's lyrics, it makes me want to hold my husband so tight! Heartbreakingly beautiful song!
yes, hold him tight
Yes, hold him tight.....
Even when he's unemployed or bankrupt.
Then you won't just be a wife, you'll be a miracle.
Great singer and I have always loved him!
Great great singer.
Marla Jo Eshleman-Winner I like his songs mainly because they remind me of my grandad 😞💔❤️

This song is haunting I could listen to it on a cold winter's night a legendary Singer of all time x
A milion lies , a thousand hearts , a 100 souls and a ton of drinks. then suddenly the weather changes , then they've got you and all of a sudden your loves on the rocks............tell me what ever happened to those great days !!!!
Ok
great tune and still standing tall today . I bet this has been the song of emotion for many over the years
The greatest singer- songwriter of all time & still going strong.
I wouldn't go that far.
his voice is so special.
No doubt Neil Diamond will go down in Musical History. His ability to touch peoples hearts with his lyrics is superbly beautiful and sad, yet often happy too. God Bless you Neil
Neil Diamond is awesome .. this is a great movie as well .
I agree
This was a remake of a movie if the same name (1927). What a talent Neil Diamond is. I say that because when he sings, no one else sounds like he does, you know it’s Neil. A true classic.

Hi Doreen hope you’re okay?
I mean seriously, people, there are some moments of real truth in this song. Such an underappreciated classic.
This man is magnificent. Grew up with my folks listening to Neil Diamond and obviously being young I didn't appreciate how terrific he is. Now older, got almost all of his albums. Superb artist and excellent film. Regardless of what the critics said.
