I love how similar the soundfonts are, but then suddenly they aren't. This creates some subtle and some not so subtle differences to "watch out" for. Very Fun!
I didn't grow up with this game, so I have no nostalgia bias, but that part of this song always makes me feel so many feelings. So sweeping and heroic. Love it.
This song was originally produced with the 64's sample set, FFVII started deveolpment on the 64 and when the sony/nintendo console deal fell through they moved it to the ps1 because of the more powerful chipset.
@@AtticusRh0des how can you be so sure though? FFVII was in conceptual stages for the n64 and didn’t hit full production until it shifted platforms. The sound don’t and OST would not have been made in time for the N64 prototyping, let alone, this particular song.
@@elyjahkidnot Same, and for the longest time I didn't know why everyone complained about the translation, because the PC version already had a much better re-translation that lacked a lot of the more famous errors.
Just found your videos today and they honestly make me feel incredibly nostalgic--not for the games, but for people posting MIDI remixes on UA-cam. All great stuff.
If Nintendo had their way originally and FFVII was developed for the 64 instead of the PS1. The instrumentation sounds really nice~ ^^ really liked the usage of the ocarina at 0:51 and the choir at 1:00 ~ ♪ Well done! ♫
this sounds very star fox 64/ lylat wars like. ocarina of time shares some key instrument sounds from that game, plus this final fantasy song has a more war-like tone which is more prevalent in star fox than in zelda
"You walk into the room. It's dark, musty, lit by only a single torch in the corner. The door slams shut behind you, and you turn around. A rattling sound comes from the center." "Ok, so that's clearly a reanimated skeleton, I cast dispel magic." "Stalfos are immune to that."
This is amazing. The only thing is, you used that one sound. Idk how to describe it, it's from the goron city theme, the best way to put it is it almost sounds like a hiccup. While the song is amazing, I found myself dying laughing when I first heard that sound
Technically the official English name for this track is "Let the Battles Begin!", but this still sounds good. Definitely makes me think of that Cloud vs Link artwork that Nintendo showed when the former was announced for Smash 4.
This sounds great!! The chorus druing the famous flute part was PERFECT! You TOTALLY must need to put a chorus on that part! Maybe longer! Sounds so good! The trumpets are great too! And i heard violin/strings! Also Great! I honestly feel tho the goron music squeek in this is not needed? At least for me, makes me thing of goron village but in the peacful tense...
The cuica was such an unexpected texture to hear in this. It's such a distinctly Goron sound that it immediately pulls me out of Those Who Fight.
and with my Mixes with the OOT soundfont i throw those in on purpose just to remind the listener where the samples come from
@@Stubz1989
I think it works well for this song. At least as a cover to emphasis the cross over.
@@Stubz1989, I also like it here, for what it's worth.
@@Stubz1989 Ha ha! Smart! I definitely got that vibe!
I like it. it makes me think of OOT being a turn based RPG and having a Goron in the party
The goron "hrp!" replacing the metal clang is just hilarious. I love it!
I love how similar the soundfonts are, but then suddenly they aren't. This creates some subtle and some not so subtle differences to "watch out" for. Very Fun!
0:50 is beautiful!
Gave me chills
Me too.
We're all Heroes of Time now
I didn't grow up with this game, so I have no nostalgia bias, but that part of this song always makes me feel so many feelings. So sweeping and heroic. Love it.
gave me goosebumps too!
YES
FF7 works so well with this soundfont, I'd love to hear a rendition of J-E-N-O-V-A with this style.

@@SekiroOnSwitch Nobura said it him self in a ATB report when they showed the 64 footage during the FFVII anniversary.
damn the ocarina being the main instrument in the bridge at 0:51 is awesome. very nice, had chills
This actually sounds pretty close to how FF7 sounded in the PC with the Microsoft GS Wavetable. Particularly the strings, trumpets, and french horns
was going to say I definitely remember hearing a lot of these instruments when I downloaded MIDIs of FF7 songs as a kid, just now with gorons lol.
I miss playing the game in this soundfont. it would be awesome to apply them on the modern re-releases...unless there is already a way I've missed.
I played the PC version around 2011 and got very used to the Midi sounds to the point where the PSX version sounds alien to me!
Sounds like a DOSBOX with hd audio
@@elyjahkidnot Same, and for the longest time I didn't know why everyone complained about the translation, because the PC version already had a much better re-translation that lacked a lot of the more famous errors.
Oddly enough, this sounds more like a Star Fox 64 song with this instrumentation!
Would love to hear Force your Way from VIII and J-E-N-O-V-A from VII in these sound fonts. Great stuff!
I did the J E N O V A today for you, if you havent yet hit me with a Sub!
The Ocarina for that bridge sounded so good I was expecting Link himself to step-up next to Cloud in the fight lol
The cuica makes me imagine Link and Cloud are both fighting together against a common enemy
the Goron sound is such a 🤌🏾 nice touch.
The Goron “HGHHN” got me 😂😂😂 amazing job 👏👏👏
Very iconic music, nice choice by Zalucha and good job with the developement of these :)
This is so incredibly creative, and I can hear how much fun you’re having putting these together
Just found your videos today and they honestly make me feel incredibly nostalgic--not for the games, but for people posting MIDI remixes on UA-cam. All great stuff.
The Vsti is incredible technology.
0:50 makes me want to go play it on the ocarina in OOT
Do it!
Its perfect. Even that strange gorone sound is...perfect. I Love it.
What's funny is that the FFVII soundfont does kinda sound similar to the OoT soundfont imo.
I love your covers! I always look forward to listening to them
You should check out my newest stuff
It's like it was pulled from the alternate timeline where Final Fantasy VII actually stayed on the N64.
Genuinely incredible to hear - nice work
Damn....now i want an oot ffvii mashup that blends gameplay, story, and audio motifs into an original game :3
I am obsessed with this. I need more
fire as hell!! ocarina is a nice touch and love the choir
0:15 those sound so much like the hoenn horns from Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire
its both the funniest but greatest thing ive heard in a long time
how did you create this masterpiece
The idea has worked out better than I've expected. 😂 The song suits so well with OOT's soundfont!
This has no business being as good as it is!
This reminds me of the heroes of our childhoods. You know...
Those who fight.
The algorithm has finally brought me where I belong

This is dope, thanks!
I’m not sure how different it would sound, but I’d love to hear the opening/bombing mission in this sound font.
Similar years of release, similar impact on gaming, similar feeling of nostalgia.
It sounded almost identical until the "build up" part at 0:11 and onward. Sounds amazing.
didn't know I needed this till I heard it😄
Ah yes, Young Link Strife, with his trusty Buster Kokiri, fights Sephidorf, who wields the Sagemune
WHAT?! that's so creative!
Ooooooh this is a VERY good take on N64 Those Who Fight, nice job!
Amazing
I love this!
this is so well put together! I love the addition of the cuica , it reminds me so much of old Runescape stuff🤩
The mission to get the Golden Cucco was hard
"You walk into the room. It's dark, musty, lit by only a single torch in the corner. The door slams shut behind you, and you turn around. A rattling sound comes from the center."
"Ok, so that's clearly a reanimated skeleton, I cast dispel magic."
"Stalfos are immune to that."
this is so damn good. Goron chorus also based af.
NIIIICE
Wow, this is incredibly well made!
this is oddly catch, i really love it! nice job!
It makes you wonder what link's party would be in each of his own games if the legend of zelda was an rpg.
This is amazing. The only thing is, you used that one sound. Idk how to describe it, it's from the goron city theme, the best way to put it is it almost sounds like a hiccup. While the song is amazing, I found myself dying laughing when I first heard that sound
it's a Cuica, or "monkey drum" but yeah, it's a little distinctive
A "hiccup" lol wtf
Huh, this sounds a lot better than I expected
Technically the official English name for this track is "Let the Battles Begin!", but this still sounds good. Definitely makes me think of that Cloud vs Link artwork that Nintendo showed when the former was announced for Smash 4.

Check it out and sub if you havent
Awesome. I want a zelda that plays like a square enix game combat wise now lol
Somewhere in another universe...
Me: fighting further
The random goron in the party:
A Zelda turn based… with ATB. Wouldn’t that be cool?
The end if the 90's had the best video games man
You did an amazing job! Thanks for the upload! ❤
Lylat wars vibes~
Damn, this sounds perfect
DAAAMN! O_0 AWESOME AS HELL!
Now this is amazing!
This shit go hard bruh
The first 3D Zelda VS the first 3D FF
Actually sick as hell my friend. Awesome work, keep it up. 👍
I enjoying the sounds~❤️
The brass sounds spot on N64-ish but the rest sounds too clean to come from an N64! Love the Goron noise added in too 😂
Why does it sound so appropriate for a starfox mission?
This sounds awesome. Great work!
this shit is dope as hell keep it up bro
Now we need the boss battle with the Final Fantasy VII SoundFont
This could also fit in Star Fox 64
I would love to hear Starfox 64's boss B track done using Oot's soundfont
YES
Love this idea/concept! Keep it going! 🙌
Love it! Great work
The planet's dyin' Link!
The choir the goron sounds the ocarina fantastic
This soundfont works with almost anything
When Link Obtains the Goron Sword
This is surprisingly vanilla, and that isn't a bad thing
Nice work!
The song sounds great in the Ocarina Of Time SoundFont!
This is amazing
Well, now we know Clinks(cloud fused with link) theme is.
Also great to here a combination of my two all time favorite games.
I'd love to hear some stuff from Chrono Trigger in this style :o
Imagine how different the timeline could've been. Man.
Sounds more to me like a Star Fox battle. I know it’s the same soundfont, I just think it would suit Star Fox better.
This version is a little more funky and I can respect it
This sounds like a Star Fox 64 song
This is some alternate reality shit. Awesome!
Alternate timeline where FF7 is released as FF4 on the N64
that song alone would have taken a whole cartridge according to square
Well if this didnt make me nostalgic as all get out. Dang
That's funny I could not hear the ocarina of time part till the end sounds like he added some death mountain melody
This sounds very good
