Hey Chet,.....you need a haircut like Mark's?!?! Hey Nicole,.....I liked the way you sped up the video and put music in, at the 17:30 - 18:00 mark, to make it look like Chet was dancing a jig. Did you quietly say "Dance my little puppet,...Dance"?!?! (Ha!Ha!)
Hiya, you & Nikki work so hard, your work ethic is great, you never shirk the hard work, never mind if its going from in the trench to up on the cart, or Nikki sanding for hours on a piece of what was old worn out furniture to re-purpose it into a modern work of art! Stay safe...Steve...
Here in New Zealand we put the drain coil in with a chain trencher. We put pea metal around the full length of the pipe too. Some guys also have the pipe in a tube of geotec fabric to keep the pipe clean.
Would love if the tube would require people to leave a comment to explain why they give a video a thumbs down or thumbs up. Grest stuff man, keep it up.
Cool technology...would like to see an episode about the GPS receivers you have mounted on the various implements. Clearly these are more substantial than what we all live with in our smartphones. It was amusing to see you guys pull an 'erratic' rock out of all that sediment. I know why the rocks rise to the top of grade but others might like to hear from local sources as to the mechanism for the delivery of erratics from their source and why the float to the top of the clay.
Sad and disappointed you didn't let your hair grow out to a mullet Chet - you could have rocked it! Unrolled from the wrong end, Dad is yelling, screaming - pretty nice in the cab here. LOL Your evil laugh is fantastic!!! "Good thing I don't have a temper" Dougo cracks me up. Another great video Chet! Thanks for sharing.
Love your videos, Only a suggestion but you might want to add some permeable fabric on top of the rock to keep the fine particles from filling in the spaces around the rock and plugging the drainage. Been there, done that. Love you guys.
Thanks for the video Chet! You found some pretty good size boulders, you and randy were having way too much fun with dougo and the pipe 🤣Looks like Your boot trailer you made is working great!! ✅
Chet how about a follow up on the furrow force closers you tested this spring stupid expensive but would be nice to see if they made a difference to justify it.
Are you tiling in a field that's already planted ? Also if you could get those rocks down to the gulf coast you could sell them like there is no tomorrow! Big rocks have gotten really popular for landscaping only this is there really hard to find .
I’m a quiet subscriber an never usually comment but felt I had to this time because of the new haircut .. wowzers .. it is better but still.. make sure you keep the hat on bud !!! 😁🤣
You need to pre rip every line before installing the tile. Running a dry rip allows for ripping all the rocks out of the way before installing the tile.
Chet your your looking better with the new cut I just said the last video that if I had dog that looked 👀 that bad I would shave his butt and make him walk backwards !! But your looking better go get them buddy
Extend the plow so there is more room behind the pipe and use a rock funnel to place gravel directly on the pipe eliminating the excavator and saving time,
Just curious do you ever run fiber through a field like this. Or always in a right away. Hit a fiber cable they'll take your business. Hit a gas line it'll take your life.
Just an observation with a question... From an Engineering/Mechanical Perspective- If you were to reverse the "Tile Boots" on Great Grandpa's trailer... Couldn't the Case Quadtrac load and unload the boots on and off the trailer itself without needing to always use the Excavator... Or do the hydraulics on the Tile Plow not raise up high enough for that... Seems it would or could save a substantial amount of time... And your Answer is???
I'm not a farmer, just an ol Carpenter. Just wondering why they call the corrugated pipe "tile"? Or is the process as a whole called tiling? Great videos 👍
really cool haircut, great video, have a really good memorial day weekend very interesting video, very instructive the music was great with the mess up, really funny that was totally hilarious
@@LarsonFarms Thanks, but what kind of rock do they use to make the gravel. Looks kinda orange. All ours comes from granite so it's different shades of gray.
So I’m confused you put the tile in with the tile plow then go back through and dig above it to put the stone in? How many times have you ever had to fix a spot where you end up breaking it trying to dig it back out to put the stone in
Thanks for the video - heck of an operation, having to have an excavator, large tractor, etc. Now you can do you neighbor's and have it a profit center for LF. The gray soil underneath I guess is clay? Do you separate the rich topsoil from the clay when doing this kind of work?

RTK gps is accurate to within one inch.
awesome vids!!! wish i had about two truck loads of that awesome heavy sticky soil for my garden!! lol where i live it's sandy as ever..
Like your wagon is working good nice haircut
Nothing more satisfying than digging in a new main and at the first connection already watching water flowing down hill!
Tile is the best money any farmer can spend. We finished tiling last summer. This spring the soil conditions were night and day different.

Filter fabric on top of the gravel would be a good addition and keep your drain pipe from silting up.
Ya know, it's so nice to watch a YT farm channel that for the most part does it right. Kudos to Larson Farms!
Nice looking old Chevy you got there.
We use the pea rock to when we tile for drains here in Wisconsin
One heck of a video! I love all of the events! A lot of knowledge and learning your videos! I absolute love this channel!
Learning more about farming every day,I just attended "Tiling 101".Very interesting, informative and fun.Thank you.
Hardly recognized the actor playing Chet! 🤔🚜
Your hat fits....😎
Talk about black soil. Pretty nice. Looks like you get your share of clay as well.
Try welding a hook to the boot and bucket .With a short chain and bucket curl the bucket will hold the boot tight much more manageable.
Wishing you all a Happy Memorial Day weekend! 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Seems odd that a;ll the tile work was done AFTER planting, Very different and interesting work. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
LOL, The Keystone hose winders. 😂
You need a H H rock grapple bucket on the skid. Works great for back filling and rock digging. Won't work on the pea rock pile though
Nice job digging the ditch and running the plastic pipe
What your saying Chet makes a heck of a lot of sense and when i think about it would be beneficial to them all like that.
Never a dull moment when Dougo is around.
Going through all the videos and learning so much! Love this family and channel! 👍 subscribed and 🔔
Thanks for the video Chet! You found some pretty good size boulders, you and randy were having way too much fun with dougo and the pipe 🤣Looks like Your boot trailer you made is working great!! ✅
FB video on tiling and you got Hair cut Chet 👏👍
Good deal nice video. Boulders??? You think, crazy how close to the surface they are!!!
Tiling is highly underrated and one of the best investments you can make on a farm.
Interesting stuff Chet, thanks!!!! Happy tiling!!!!
Chet how about a follow up on the furrow force closers you tested this spring stupid expensive but would be nice to see if they made a difference to justify it.
Music on last big rock hit was really a great fit for Duggo music!!!!
Hello from Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Canada. Thanks for sharing your great video’s please keep them coming.
Hi. Your dad is a good operator of that track hole. Love your videos
Chet your dad cracks me up! Love the vids!
After watching you change boots, I
am so glad we have a Soilmax plow. Can change those boot with 1 person if you have to.
Well, it is Big Stone County, Minnesota.
Astonishing subsurface accuracy and LOL at the unwinding error. 🤣🤣🤣

Nice, I like the tiling videos alot. Thanks for posting especially the trouble shooting
That tile job looked like a mac and Meyer operation ,glad u finally got the pipe off the cart
Thanks for the great video on tiling! Now it all makes sense. Happy Memorial Day!
Tilling is the cleanest water source
You need to pre rip every line before installing the tile. Running a dry rip allows for ripping all the rocks out of the way before installing the tile.
Chet your your looking better with the new cut I just said the last video that if I had dog that looked 👀 that bad I would shave his butt and make him walk backwards !! But your looking better go get them buddy
Need to put fabric on top of the rock so it don’t get contaminated with dirt
Thank you for all the information and tips. Love your videos. Greetings from South Africa
We use heavy cloth to cover up our inlet where we T off
Hair cut looks good Chet, I bet it feels a lot better, tell dad to hang in there we all have them dummy days!!! lol
So chet is the kid? Dougo is the dad? Tell the big suede to start making videos!!!! Y’all are awesome. Spent last 4 days watching vids haha
I’ve never seen ground that black dude, gotta be some awesome growing stuff!!!
I live in Ohio you have minnows in your tile we found crayfish before quite a ways from the inlet
Thanks for the Keystone Cops portion of the video unrolling the tile
Extend the plow so there is more room behind the pipe and use a rock funnel to place gravel directly on the pipe eliminating the excavator and saving time,
Enjoyed your video!! Your haircut looks great.
I like the hair cut.
Finally caught up watching this channel as recently subscribed...you ain't made a bad one yet.
So do dig out and put gravel in over all of the tile or just at the points it connects?
Mainly just connections
For days ago here was 90..You have a heavy coat & hoody on that’s crazy for May lol
Your a Man of many talents!
Anyone who hasn’t subscribed is missing out. Always fun to watch what you guys are working on. Happy Memorial Day! 👍👍👍
7:03 to bad there isn't a big hydraulic cylinder to adjust pitch of those holes. Getting them vertical would make it a lot easier to install pin. :)
That trailer is pretty slick great job
That's a helluva nice pickup....
What did you do with those rocks? Great video, God bless you all. And be careful.
Off to a rock pile in the trees
Similar to the plow we used for fiber optic and phone cable in principle...👍🇺🇸
Just curious do you ever run fiber through a field like this. Or always in a right away. Hit a fiber cable they'll take your business. Hit a gas line it'll take your life.
Dodge boy should go back to chevys ! That farm truck is awesome
Happy memorial day chet
Will you keep the plates on the trailer as well? Tiling trailer, parts and wrenches all there and ready.
Does Eco-Power do fast haircuts??! A free give-away of a tune-up haircut! I'm down for that before June 1st!
Doug, Chet was laughing at you while you were working and he was in the warm cab...
you should paint the trailer JD Green and yellow wheels, I need to put a drainage system like that in here with a pump on the end
Thanks for the tile farming.
Thanks Chet for the tiling video, cus I’d like to do it myself also thanks for sharing. Great video keep them coming!

The tile plow only raises about 4” off the ground.
I'm not a farmer, just an ol Carpenter. Just wondering why they call the corrugated pipe "tile"? Or is the process as a whole called tiling? Great videos 👍
I've never seen a farm that does absolutely everything themselves.
Right? Good for them
There are plenty of them out there
At my place we call those potatoes 🥔 keep up with the good videos
Chet, awesome video! For those of us who aren't farming, your explanation of why/how to tile was really interesting.
Thanks and stay safe.
really cool haircut, great video, have a really good memorial day weekend very interesting video, very instructive the music was great with the mess up, really funny that was totally hilarious
Now that was good comedy holy cow your pops was getting pretty PO hahaha dang
I had no idea what a gamble it was to plant 🌱 not knowing if the cold 🥶 was over. You earn your $ money 💴
Hey CHET MAYBE YOU CAN LINE THE TURN IN YOUR TRUCK ROUTE 4 WINTER WITH THE BOULDER'S AND RHINO LINERS 4 YOUR CAB FLOORS
Cool background music... I started to dance there a little bit :-)
Use wood chips instead of stones. I've done 40km's of drain flow with wood chip. Stones get bogged by the silt
Liked, But curious what pea rock is. And from where it comes. A type of gravel I'm guessing. Just didn't like the gravel we have down this way.
It’s the size of gravel that the screen out.
@@LarsonFarms Thanks, but what kind of rock do they use to make the gravel. Looks kinda orange. All ours comes from granite so it's different shades of gray.
I love tiling
Big Stone County.
i enjoyed seeing the laying of tile it looks like fun when it goes smooth great video
So I’m confused you put the tile in with the tile plow then go back through and dig above it to put the stone in? How many times have you ever had to fix a spot where you end up breaking it trying to dig it back out to put the stone in
Man I love tiling!
Great video... but what I'm REALLY waiting for is the haircut video!!!
Learn something new everyday, thanks fellas, cheers!
Chet must of visited the neighboring state to the west to get a haircut as MN haircut places aren't open yet 🙁
Thanks for the video - heck of an operation, having to have an excavator, large tractor, etc. Now you can do you neighbor's and have it a profit center for LF.
The gray soil underneath I guess is clay? Do you separate the rich topsoil from the clay when doing this kind of work?
I'm used to draining everything with ditches on top of the ground and a shovel u would hate it very interesting
