Hi Gi! There is a video you might want to watch. Earlier today Tim Holtz did a Saturday live video. One of his makers took some die cuts sand made resin jewelry with them. They were so pretty. You probably have already seen it. It’s from sep 7th.
You are amazing with this resin! I have yet to get one small item correctly. But not giving up! Thank you for this lovely inspiration. The dragonfly is exquisite! Hugs 🤗❤️
oh I love these so much , so when you do the molds do you put them under the lamp for a while ?? I have not done molds just made a few charms for my journals💖 where did you get the dragon fly mold dear
@@lotusflowerpassion thank you so much. These are made with epoxy resin. Epoxy resin is a 2 part resin which you mix together. It dioes not cure under a uv lamp. You have to leave it for atleast 8 hours before you can take it out of the mold. I leave it over night. UV resin is used to make smaller things like little charms which will cure under a uv lamp. Hope that helps. Hugs Gi x
If you use UV resin, then yes. Uv resin is good for smaller projects and needs to be cured under a uv lamp. With epoxy resin. (Which is what I used in the video) you have part A and part B. Which need to be mixed together. That then needs to be left for a minimum of 8 hours. I generally leave it over night. Hope thst helps. Hugs Gi x
Gi, dragonflies do not have antennae. Maybe you can snip them off. The maker of the mold should research before producing them in error. I love dragonflies and just hate it when I see them with antennae. Otherwise, beautiful. 💖

Wonderful! I have not done resin yet so I was wondering- do you not need to use a heat lamp to have it set?

Hi Susan, it's just a whimsical dragonfly. ❤
How long does it take to harden?
You can demold them after about 8 hours but they need a good few days to harden properly. Hugs Gi x
