fake diecast, did I get ripped off?

In this video I take a look at some fake
diecast I bought a model that I thought was a genuine vintage piece. It turns out to be fake.

A year or so ago I saw a video from a fellow u tuber that was showing some fake Hot wheels. And I think I recall he explained that Mattel had given the company that was making the castings permission to do so. He showed the difference in the packaging too. ✌🏾😎

Yes, that's quite interesting. Wood like to have seen that. But when this car is in your hand You can clearly see it's a fake. If they put more effort into the packaging It.

That is a bit of a bummer brother, I hope you are to get your money back or at least other merchandise. If they knew they should have stated it, It looked good but I'm like you, I want the original. The Rotsun is an awesome car, I never watched the show so I didn't know the history of it. Good luck at that shop and thank you for showing us.

This is getting quite rampant these days, there are fake castings abound, many places have fake HW too, hope you get a refund Bro, such incidents are indeed a heartbreaker for any collector 😞

I will keep it if I were you, $40 it is not bad for a reproduction, I know you feel disappointed, but it really look great, real or not can be a nice addition to any collection. I paid more for a reproduction matchbox that it is impossible to get and paid, but I knew from the beginning that I was getting a restored one and not an original. What I would do, though, is to inform the vendor that he is selling reproduction and not originals if he doesn't know already.

Yes, I get your points. It does look pretty good. But if I wanted a car like that I would have done it myself as I'm pretty good at restoring pieces and customising. For what's it cost me?I could have gone on line and bought any number of nice looking In just as good a condition.👍👍👍
