Whether it speaks to those that believe in Jesus Christ as the risen savior or if it speaks to those who don't believe any thing at all, this song speaks of hope. Hope for those who need it. Jason Wade is in fact a Christian, but what does it matter if he is or isn't. The song is truly beautiful, as is the message it delivers.
te most bautifull thing is that they are christians and al the songs they made are for the glory of god if look ad the lyrics you find al lot of text from the bible it is bautifull that they have a talent for praise God without contineu saying praise god :D
The song is religous and is about Jesus.... But there is a big "IF.. i could just see you." He is singing about his despiration to feel and experience the "God" he was raised to believe in. He is struggling because he is NOT feeling that. It was said that he wrote most of his songs while his missionary parents were getting divorced... "I know you didnt bring me out here to drown. So why am I 10 feet under and upside down"... enough said
“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”
This song has to be intended to be a love song for the lord. It just has to be. Or if its not then the person who wrote the lyrics was confused about the meaning of love. He's not describing a boy/girl relationship at all. Ppl can't save u, or make a storm turn to light. Ppl can't catch u if u fall in water. If ur walking on water and you fall, thts it. Ur getting wet. Lol.
I know you didnt bring me out here to drown, So why am I ten feet under and upside down. Barely surviving has become my purpose cause Im so used to living underneath the surface.
GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!! can we get over this whole religious thing? Okay, if you want to believe they wrote it about God, then fine. That's YOUR interpretation. My interpretation is that it's about the guy who loves this gir so much and he knows that she will be there for him and he will be there for her.
this song aint about Jesus or any other "god"....its about to persons loving each other...the message is clear...I'll get lost into your eyes...(and the piano version is better..)
This song is so beautiful. A heartfelt cry of desperation and hope.
