    I teared up when you talked about weight loss and self confidence - I’m 18 and I’ve been struggling with a variety of eating disorders for a few years. I’d give anything to be back in my old mindset and feel the way I did before. Hearing that you were able to overcome that really gives me hope. I’m really proud of you.

    I've noticed that a lot of folks with EDs or issues with food gravitate towards these types of eating channels or mukbang channels for many different reasons so thanks for bringing them up 🙏 very easy to fall into unhealthy habits and a bad relationship with food because of what society pushes so making sure that your yourself are listening to your body and minds needs is so much more important than listening to what folks on the outside say you should be doing.

I used to be overweight & I used to genuinely think that losing weight would fix those problems for me, even if I watched or read that it won’t. But I’ve lost about 50 lbs & let me tell y’all, if it’s broken before, it’ll stay broken if you don’t try to fix it.

    Hi Erik! I love how raw and honest you are in this video. The message you delivered was really perfectly made. In 2017, I hit rock bottom and was weighing almost 200 lbs... I made the change and was able to lose 55 lbs in 11 months (it wasn't planned, it sort of happened). until I reached 135 LBS and all of the sudden that was not enough anymore... I wanted to be 120 LBS even though I was already lean as hell, it just wasn't enough. the next few years I tried being on the "bulk" and "lean" cycle again and as I reach 26 this year, one thing my personal journey has thought me is that no matter what the scale says, the love has to come from within me. It is something I struggle with daily, as I have gained weight again (40 LBS) and it's hard to come into terms with it. Right now I am just trying to live a balanced lifestyle and be happy with what I have now and make progress not strive for perfection. I had to comment just because your message really resonated with me. I am glad to see that you are genuinely happy with yourself and are able to maintain a balanced lifestyle and continue in your journey. Greetings from Florida! I hope you and your little family are healthy and safe. Take care. :)

I to was diagnosed with Anorexia after i lost my weight and still deal with anorexia daily, I can't go anywhere to eat with out needing to know the nutritional facts. Every item I pick up in a store i have to check the calories and sugars, if It's too much I wont eat it. It sucks I used to be carefree and now I'm so restricted by food. It sucks.

    I have an eating disorder, I have recently been diagnosed with anorexia and I’m finding it very hard because I don’t think I do, I love to stick to routines and I like what I like but ive been that way my whole life, I just what to ask how do you know if it’s a problem if someone is telling it is and it’s how you’ve always been ? I have gone a little extreme and haven’t had a hot meal in like a year or even more but I’m a crisps ( chips) kind of person, your videos do help me a lot and I like how you talk about your own experience, I’m struggling with shakes the doctors have giving me to take because it’s not in my normal routine x

    • @tatlancia7222
      @tatlancia7222 4 роки тому +29

      It's hard. I know. I hear you. It's so scary. It felt like my mind was taken up by calories, food, what am I gonna eat today, tomorrow, oh the shake that doesn't fit in do I have to eat it. Deviating from routine and stepping out of your comfort box can be so terrifying. As soon as I did though, it felt like I had let go. Maybe not right away, but gradually. I still had the thoughts, I still had the fixation, but it became easier and easier to challenge and ignore them. It became easier and easier for me to be happy again, which is something I thought my previous routine would bring me, but I was so so wrong. I felt free again. I felt like I was living again. I want you to know that it'll be hard now, scary, it'll make you feel so emotional, like 10 times worse than you had before, but it's part of the process. It's part of letting go. Letting out your tears, anger, frustration, is letting out your fixation, thoughts, and obsession. You will be free. And isn't that what everyone wants? To be free. Imagine going out with your friends and not worrying, or reaching to eat something and not putting it down right away because, no I shouldn't. You aren't going to be tied down anymore. You can start to live as YOU. Keep fighting! I know you can do it! I believe in you!

I feel good, changed my diet. Every day is a gift. I can tell you this, I feel liberated and elated. When I get to goal, one of the few that will say, yes that weight loss changed my life. I was slim 40 years ago. Now I can get back to me. It’s a big push but worth it.
