I remember this day it was 1986 I was sweet 16 can't see myself in the film but the young blonde drummer was Simon White who played drums with local heavy metal band Burning Fantasy for several years.
Remember seeing guf up at the top of the town disco one friday night,He was a punk rocker at that time.He sat down in the middle of the dance floor with everyone danceing around him,he was staring at the DJ with total contempt in protest because he was not playing enough punk rock music.If the kids are united was a top tune all the lads with there man utd scarfs on there wrists going round and round in circles.I didnt no GUF but what a legend he was.
the metal band was fatal attraction (drummer called simon), the drummer in the dark glasses is eldon from the pyromaniacs from outer space, andy, simon carol and the martins were beat the retreat, good to see screw doing the glastonbury rain dance - i remember this day as one of the last good times in combe before things went a bit tits up and people started dying and stuff. (rip guf, kenny, glen, annie ... )
ha - got a bit mixed up there - the metal band were actually called burning fantasy (the spinal tap of thier generation) - the guy with the acoustic i think was called mike (smith?) and used to play the speakeasy alot - shit hot guitarist. the guy waving in the beginning was tony (chant/chance) & played on the day with ginny. I even saw rasta and woof the dogs for a brief moment in the other video. i have a dvd of footage from this day somewhere - ill try to dig it out sometime. good times!!!

Might have been Sue day :-) can't even remember that, and that was only about 5 years ago. Been such a long time since I spoke to you I don't remember if you have an accent. Hiya Clive, I am doing good! Family is fine and growing. I don't play as much as I used to. Still got my guitars and strum away occasionally. I have more video of us. I will put it up eventually keep smacking them drums dood!!!
I can see Cox and Kenny and Screw and Stevie Punx, and also, a young Robert Crawford! He turned up last year at Glastonbury Festival, first time in 11 years. Whoever said this was the good times had it right, it was mid 80s, before Mike Runyard (Guf) fell off Capstone, and before Kenny met his end. His sister Lorna has gone now, too.

Pretty sure one of the bands playing that day was Beat The Retreat, I think Simon something sang for them.

About 1985- 1986 don't remember exactly.. We did this a long time ago.
Don't remember Mike off hand. Unfortunately and very sadly to say some of these people have passed away R.I.P.
