It's incredible how you changed that space so fast... At first it felt really plain and kind of hostile, but after putting all your furniture and stuff up, it suddenly became really cozy-looking... I really look forward to your upcoming videos!
Thank you 🙏 Much more to come
“I did this build without a square or ruler, i dont know where either of those things are” you are legendary
omg why does all your content feel like it is from the early 2000s it is amazing
Congrats on a new beginning, welcome home
Thanks Trent :)
This video was randomly suggested to me by youtube and I don't think I've ever felt as comfortable watching a space evolve as I have with this one, everything has so much personality
I'm really looking forward to seeing this grow!!
Hell yeah I’m glad you found the channel! I appreciate it
i can already tell season 2 is gonna be a good one! I hope you find a way to use that ceiling fan motor in a project. it has potential
Thank you Scott 🙏 I've got some ideas
So glad you are back...
Me too
I am in awe and sincerely envy your complete disregard for order and cleanliness (you repotted a plant indoors on top of a rug! … Inconceivable). I mean it. I feel like my need for a "proper place and proper tools" is holding me back creatively.
Same.. i am so annoyed with myself being so obsessed with cleanliness and order.. I wasn't like this...
I've been watching a lot of "dream desk" stuff recently and i Really love how your approach is so drastically different yet the final space feels so cozy. Great work!
The way you make your place look through building and decorating reminds me so much of the "I Spy" books I used to look through as a kid and I love it! Great work, and I love that you reuse old wood! its great for the environment and adds history and a homey feel to the place. Definitely a good inspiration for how I'm going to decorate my place.
oh dear i fear i have found someone who also does messy wood furniture just as i. i have been reusing a massive tarva ikea dresser for 9 years. it's become desks, shelves, workspaces, a dresser, and a few others. i love all of the old screw holes. they tell a story. the layers of splattered paint from my toddler who is now a big girl. it's something special. i reuse everything wood until it is no longer usable lol. i am so happy i've come across this channel. it feels homey, cozy.
I love this. Most of my grandparent's home consists of scrapwood construction, I can remember the 2x4-plywood combo shelving unit that held the countless toys they kept for my cousins, my brother, my friends, and I. I remember finding the scrap pile in the backyard and creating makeshift club houses and seesaws. I remember the vibrant paints that sat on shelves which were covered in spills of lilac and cyan and off-white, matching the colors of their walls in old photos.
It tempts me, to do this myself. To create a home that is truly, my home. A home that fits my every need, my every creation, and that can adapt as I do the same.
Stoked to see you putting down roots again; Transience has it's perks, but it's good to have a space to call "Home". Excited for the new season and seeing what you make of it. All the best.
Randomly had this in my recommendations. Glad i watched it, really nice story telling!
Thank you! glad to see UA-cam is giving it a push :)
The last minute of this really resonated with me. I consider myself a perfectionist, that has unfortunately had influence on my space and I often find myself missing my family home and the "make do" nature of things.
Now, as an adult, I find myself chasing a clean "curated" workspace. Which ironically is probably doing more to get in the way of my creativity, seeing you build your space like you have has really inspired me to reconsider what I value in a work/living space.
Also, we have the same small LED panels! Real useful.
I really needed this today man. Just finished building a workshop/ studio space at the bottom of my garden and while I'm drowning in wood I couldn't see how I could make the scrapped together look come out the way I wanted but you nailed it
Man, this video hit me with so much nostalgia. This is exactly how I started building stuff when I was in my 20s. Figuring it out, long 2x4s hanging out of my honda window, making cuts in a parking lot.
Now I'm 44 with a dope workshop and I buy shelves rather than building them, but this video made me long for those days.
Welcome back mate, it's bloody good to see you uploading again. Much love from Australia.
Happy too see you settle in the new place! I had no idea how much I missed your videos man, so I'm really happy to see you back at it again. Watching these bring peace to me like nothin else.
Can't wait to see what comes next, scrap king!
oh my GOD finally a youtube human with a workspace I resonate with. Ahhh I love your vibe. I feel so alone with my way of, well, assembling my living space, everyone calls me eclectic or artistic and I'm just trying to feel OKAY with the stuff that surrounds me everyday. And it needs to be accessible and all in one place and also look nice. I like every single video of yours and they feel like home :) I'm now subscribed to you. Thank you for sharing your stuff with us!!
Absolutely fantastic!❤ Such inspiration to see you find new life in things most people trow away
I love your studio. Truly inspiring. A hug from Chile.
Hell yeah, this is my kind of setup. Good stuff. Also you moved pretty close to me - rad!
Love the new space. I live right by that Lowe’s, welcome to the neighborhood.
bro, your vids are evoloving so much!
season 2 is off to a great start
This is my first video I've ever seen. There is something about this content that pulls me in
Beautiful! Excited to see you what you create in this new space
Looks like a perfect place for cool projects ! Love the way you’ve done it and do new furnitures !
Great channel. Being smart with circular saws is key. Hold them tight, they can run too. With a miter/chop saw, Had a similar experience. Was cutting a small piece that slipped off the fence because of the gap behind the blade. Got pulled in and back, And twisted/spun/jammed so fast that it almost ripped my fingernail off. It was that skate deck ply wood that has a curve to it as well. Check out those zero clearance miter saw spoil boards. always be careful or avoid small pieces potentially lift or move. Clamps, scraps and push sticks always help. Saws pull in. Japanese pull saw with a miter jig is quick and low dust. But yeah, awesome Channel. have fun!
welcome back!!!! the new studio is looking awesome! glad to see ur settling in and have someplace that feels like Home again
literally my favorite studio space ive ever seen. this is so dope, and quite inspiring
You are so very inspiring .... Thanks for sharing.
This was enjoyable for sure. I do things the same way. I build all my own furniture and keep wood, and other bits for years. If I need something, I figure out how to make it.
I’ve been living out of a van I built up the past two years, and will be getting back into a “normal” space soon.
This video really motivated me, and helped me realize how much I miss all my little things that I have in storage.
Keep up all the rad work.
I’ve love watchin you grow dude! I’m jealous of your studio, it looks amazing!
Wonderful video and the studio is pure vibes. Looking forward to seeing more.
i love this channel and your philosophy behind making things
Yayyy season 2! So good to see the studio come up again... What a wonderful space
You could use the cieling fan rotation as a sanding disc. everything in your office can have a dusting of sawdust... congrats on the move!
Lmao I love it
congrats on the move and build! i'm between places living out of a shoe box creatively speaking and i can wait to set up my new space. thanks for the inspo
4:12 colt kirwan stream spotted 👀
excited for the new chapter!
Fantastic video and storytelling.
On another note: Please be safe. You can always cut wood tomorrow, you can never regrow a lost appendage.
I really enjoyed this video. I am about to move and feel very inspired and excited to set up my studio after watching this. Thank you. 🙏
I love how you used trinkets and other things to make the studio yours. The overhead storage space is brilliant and practical!
For first-time viewers, this was an excellent video. I prefer exact, stark clean, minimal studio spaces with a few retro bits.
But your storytelling was so good. It felt like an extension of your making. Everything is worn and exciting.
I am gonna subscribe; I don't know if I'll be here for a long time. But thanks for this video and the stories.
Yeaaaaaah nice! Looking so good
Evan! Nice to have you back 🙌🏻
Great to have you back. Crazy that I checked your channel yesterday in case I missed an upload and the day after here you are.
This is exacltly the way I was looking to build my workshop (simple product, no especialy brand new wood, custom and overhead framing).
And you made a video on it, so curious to watch how you made yours with a closer look. Happy to discover your channel for your other videos too :D +1 sub
Congrats on the new space! Very glad to see your channel pop up again
such a dope video, loved the editing and everything, plus the space looks great
This is brilliant. Makes me feel good about my ultra chaotic workshop!
that's a very calm and viby video, thank you
Thank you for being the realest UA-camr! I’m along for the ride and inspired by every video!
Thank you 🙏
i hope your finger heals well! :)
Thank you - Its already mostly fine but it'll remind me to be less careless with the saws from now on lol
Can't wait for more buildings, creations, stories and silliness!
I'd love to see you make a video about your process with music. I'll bet there's be some real interesting nuggets in that.
It’s in the shortlist! I’m not that good at the process yet so been waiting till I’m a bit more comfortable to film it- but totally will do that
i really like ur style, really good and unique in ur own way
great to have you back!
Glad to see that you're back and that you have all of your fingers still. That studio is quite the change from 13' ceilings.
Did not expect to see a burning piano today.
Congrats, surely looks like a great place! I really like your shelving cabinet made out of boxes😁I have an idea, wouldn't it be a cool idea to create a collage video with various projects from followers / creators / fans?
Love the yolo lifestyle & refreshing studio look.. all UA-cam look the same, thx men !
This was so relaxing and comforting to watch. Also, seeing all the piano strings in the fire was wild. Love how everything is repurposed :)
You really are an amazingly creative mind and you are a great inspiration for me.
Beautiful work, man! Can't wait to see what comes next in s2!🎉
this level of cozy is what i strive for ngl
ill prob move sometime next month so this channel will really inspire me to do something else with whatever space im given
another INCREDIBLE video
looks amazing man, i commented on one of your other videos as you inspired me to go back to DIY builds instead of buying new furniture. I now have a custom painted shelf for my cameras and an under desk cubby hole to keep various gadgets and books. sadly cant put anything on the walls here due to the landlords strict rules but using shelving is a great way around that. hope you're all good mate, keep living life.
your videos have a special vibe to them
wow dude, the new space looks amazing
you might be one of the most talented people I have seen on the internet
First time seeing your channel and damn dude! this build is so inspiring! spray stain and and exposed screws so i can keep reconfiguring shit is definitely the way I'm going with my next build! Kept mine sexy mat black for long and love it bat damn it shows every speck of dust on camera so I have been thinking of going with a more rustic messy look next time around aaaaand there's your vid! Love it!!!!!!!!!
holy shit, I'm a new viewer here and absolutely love your attitude and style - keep it up, man.
Really great video I enjoyed it a lot and it made me feel like things don't have to be perfect to also be good and special. Thanks for sharing.
The new studio is looking great! congrats
something about watching this is just relaxing
That is the craziest looking office I've seen. LOVE IT! Channeling Casey Neistat!!!
Been looking forward to this upload for a while now - superb stuff
Brother made backyard shed vibes in his room, respect
As Jimmy Diresta says: if it looks straight, it is straight enough (or something similar).
Good job! Just found your channel.
That rug really ties the room together.
Shoes on in the house, windows blocked :D that beige depressing wall paint and carpet everywhere. I cant. :)
we are back baby! build looks great & 10/10 vid as usual!
I love the idea of a central 360° overhead camera where the old fan is, you could use a transformer to step down the voltage going to the motor and use it to power/charge the camera instead!
the video feels like home❤
so glad to see more stuff from you, all of your videos are so inspiring. thank you for sharing all of your memories with us :^)
absolutely amazing
Great set-up!
Dang did you freestyle that last narration? Its gold!
Always hahahah - Thanks Colt!
glad to see you back evan!
ilove everything about this!
the best channel on youtube hands down
The algo did its job. A random, unexpected, and delightful appearance. Welcome to Indy, friend. Hope you're having a good time here.
Glad to have you back
Also stop doing stupid stuff with a circular saw. That's what hand saws are for lol
Bloody..literally..coziness is running through my veins!👍
oh god that shelf of books and trinkets is so reminiscent of the eye spy book aesthetics TT, great work keep it up !
I would love to hear more on what gear / edits you used for those home town shots. I LOVE the way it looks, colour & aspect ratio
just an old canon powershot in 640x480. just did a bit of coloring, pumped up the greens and made everything warm
for future reference, you can get electricity turned on almost immediately if you tell the electric company that you need electricity due to medical reasons, such as being able to refrigerate medication.
This guy needs more recognition for real
Fantastic video, we missed your brand of DIY ingenuity. And the spaces ended up feeling very personal, with a lot of character.
Btw, I was really clenching at 8:11 thinking you’d say you severed a finger or something.
In an unrelated note, you’re tall son! Never noticed that.
WE WOULDN'T EXPECT ANYTHING ELSE. WELCOME TO THE NEW STUDIO ERA
THANK YOU SCOTT I APPRECIATE IT
