MAESTRO GUITARS SINGAPORE
Best known for making boutique-grade instruments more accessible to players, Maestro Guitars is the only Singapore brand that handcrafts guitars and ukuleles. Started in 2004 by Hozen, Maestro Guitars is a small workshop of highly-skilled luthiers that believe in bringing the best out from every single build; no shortcuts, no compromises.
All our instruments are handmade in a humidity-controlled facility in limited quantities using age-proven techniques. The tonewoods we use are kept and seasoned naturally to achieve the right moisture content and are hand-selected based on its responsiveness, stability, and aesthetic value. Bridging tradition and innovation, our instruments feature Carbon Fiber Reinforced necks and are PLEK Setup. Our instruments are first of its kind to have boutique features such as Soundport, Beveled Armrest, Double Top soundboards, and Double Sides available off-the-rack.
But what truly makes us and our instruments exceptional is our commitment in handvoicing. Learning from Ervin Somogyi, Hozen is able to carve his own approach to voicing in order to bring out our signature sound - responsive, rich in projection, and full of character. Often seen only in very select individual builders, we handvoice every single Maestro Guitars instrument to ensure that they are excellent both in tone and form - giving players a dose of inspiration even on the first strum.

This guitar has a unique feel, wish I knew more about it.
I'm so lucky to have two Maestros. My favorite is a custom Redwood/Madagascar Rosewood model, which is a fantastic-sounding fingerstyle guitar. Still, if ever I get lucky again, I would order a custom OM-size Sinker Redwood/Ziricote model in an instant.
I stumbled upon the Maestro experience Center just the other day. They were very gracious in letting me try many of these fantastic instruments. These are some of the most well built and best sounding guitars I have ever had the pleasure to play. Hopefully I will own one soon.

I still love my Maestro Traditional Series OO-MH I got straight from the workshop, a few years ago. You guys were awesome to work with, and Raymond was a huge help to me! Thank you, Hozen and team, for creating these beautiful instruments at a very reasonable price, so that players like me can have a shot at owning one.

I have an old Epiphone maestro electric acoustic with slide volume and tone. Can't find another one like it. I'm fixing it up.

How do I get to this slice of heaven?
Dont buy! Mine only lasted 3 months before the back cracked! It was in the same environment as my other guitars that I’ve had for years. Look for other guitars not from this brand!

Their build quality sucks! Spent a lot of $$$ on mine just to have it crack after 3 months. My Taylor and other acoustics are all doing well in the same environment controlled room and had for years with no problems. Customer service pretty much said it’s my fault, even though I babied the shit out of their guitar and they were like tough luck. Don’t buy! Go with a lowden, Taylor, Martin or another reputable brand! Avoid this company.
