It is a very strange film, & not a typical Jackie Chan film. The romance plot is very sketchy when you think about it, but the fight scenes between Jackie & Brad Allan are excellent. I forgot about the baseball bat fight sequence, that is such a clever scene.
I was on the fence about this one but your enthusiastic review pushed me off. I just ordered it. I’ll prepare myself for a different kind of Jackie film. The trailer looks pretty good. The great Tony Leung is always welcome, looks like his character is really funny. And it looks like it has some absolutely cracking fight scenes.
@@invincibleasiaofficial Yeah. It would be interesting to compare with Columbia’s. I think the latter has more noise, and the colours are different. Ultimately, I think Gala’s is better (newer technology and possibly working from superior elements?).
Brad alan did the fight for ron smourburg in who am i. When you see ron cut off from showing his face on the rooftop fight it was brad alan doing those kicks because ron couldnt do them the way jackie wanted them
Those 20-30 minutes were not cut to please "American audiences." They were cut to please greedy theater owners who wanted more showings per day so they'd get more profit. Hollywood doesn't speak for us (the "American audience"); it never has, so please stop smearing us with their bias. We gobble these movies up because we love them; we always have. We love the full/uncut versions & loathe all the edits they made (music, dubbing, etc.) as much as anyone. Hollywood & corporations are the ones trying to force their viewpoints & their wants on us. They are no more an accurate reflection of us than political polls reflect voter's opinions, so please stop perpetuating the bias against us. The problem is not "American audiences," it's greedy corporations & Hollywood (and you know their ideologies, political & otherwise . . . so stop smearing "American audiences" with their dirt).

Yeah, it's quite a different vehicle altogether, but I think that's why I liked it :)
Awesome unboxing! The final fight between Jackie and Brad is fantastic.
Thank you!! Such a fun movie and great fights yes :)

Thanks very much! I hope you got it and enjoyed the watch :)
Gorgeous has always reminded me of a Disney type film mixed with some Hong Kong style fluffy romance and martial arts
lol yes, I see what you mean. Great show!
What a great review! I mixed up this movie with Who am I, it's been a minute so I'll have to revisit them both. Love the enthusiasm.
Thank you! Hopefully we will see Whoami from 88 soon :)
I think the Hong Kong version was originally from a 4K master (going by iTunes).
It looked great :)

Shu Qi has always been a great actress
She is amazing!
The fight scenes with Brad are amazing but I love the baseball bat fight ❤
Yes its such a fun fight. Very well done :)
I like the exercise montage off gorgeous it showed how actually healthy Jackie Chan was at the time he still had alot of toned body at the time.
Yes, he was in some shape. We tend to forget how old he is now, but can still bust a move

That's right yes! Such a talented man. He will be missed...
Hi, are there any uncut fight scenes, and how are the uncut scenes?
There is two versions on this release. One is uncut and a much better film that the western cut :)
Columbia’s DVD had dubtitles, whereas the 88 Blu-ray has proper subtitles.
Very true!
Gorgeous is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous movie of all time
Such a great movie!
VCD brings back memories
It's an oldie lol
This is on my to buy list
Hope you enjoy it. Such a great release!
Shu Qi is the most beautiful woman in the world.
She sure is!
RIP Brad Allen
he was the best out of his stunt team R.I.P.
Indeed. Gone far too soon!
What is this "Idiot Films" label he keeps talking about?
the film distributor for the blueray
88 films
It's kinda like 88 Films...
