Everybody wants you by Billy Squier is soooooooo good!!!!!!
💯 agree!
They've done that one. I'm watching it right now.
@@sallyphillips9175 me toooooo 🤣
That’s my favorite
Yes!
“In The Dark” is another great one.
Great song!
They have done it already.
@@rmacdougallaliasdogviticus oh I missed it. Going to look for it now. That’s one of my favorites.
Billy Squier never gets the recognition he deserves!!! Thanks for reacting!!!
Agree!
No top 10 hits = SUPER underrated! I always mention that, because it's a travesty.
Definitely! 👍
deserves to be in the rock n roll hall of fame
Music wise he was pretty damn good. But his dancing is what ruined him. #Carlton on steroids.
“Everybody Wants You”, it’s a must
YES!!!
They've done that one already. I just watched it.
They reacted to this a year ago.
@@sallyphillips9175 shoot, now I remember
That album doesn’t have a bad song on it. In the Dark is one of my favs
Emotions in Motion album does it for me. Everybody wants you, Learn how to live, She's a runner, It Keeps you Rockin, One Good Woman..Those first 2 albums are solid front to back.
You can't play 80s rock without including Billy Squier. He is absolutely essential to the 80s rock scene. Awesome singer with a million hits. Don't Say You Love Me is one of my favorites. Love you guys!
Make a note for Christmas this year. Christmas is the Time to Say I Love You by Billy Squier is really good.
Hell yes!! He really cooks with that guitar solo!!!
One of my favorite musicians. He just had his 74th birthday on May 12, hard to believe. I loved hearing him live in the 80s.
Squier owned the radio for many years. Soundtrack of my youth
Billy Squier was born in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts on May 12, 1950.
Can't go wrong with Billy Squier. My favorite is "Don't Say You Love Me"
I just requested that one as well.
Not Canadian, from Boston, currently NYC...his tour 1983, Def Leppard OPENED for him!!
Saw that show, awesome
Yeah, Boston! 😊😅
And the year before that Billy was opening for Queen.
Saw that show last year in high school at New York's Nassau coliseum.
He went to high school with my dad at Wellesley High School. My dad only found that out in recent years though when I figured it out, so he didn’t know him or anything. I think Billy was a couple years older.
Billy Squier
American rock musician
From Massachusetts. Blackfoot's from Jacksonville.
Emotions in Motion!!!
"Nobody Knows' ... slow song, stripped down from his usual sound and absolute purrrfection
My favorite Squier song.😊
"IN YOUR EYES" is a pretty perfect slow song too. I love both!!
Finally! Best Billy Squire song !
💯
Fun fact Billy Squire's song "The Big Beat" it's drumbeat is one of the top 5 most sampled beats in hip-hop/rap.
I used to love hearing his songs "The Stroke" and "Everybody Wants You" come over the speakers, at the skating rink.
This song takes me back to 1984, rainy night, driving in my car with the windshield wipers slapping out the cool, but bizarre sound that accentuates the song in certain parts. Such a vivid memory....and my hands pounding out the beat on the steering wheel. Wow, takes me back to where I swear I can smell the rain...
"Don't Say No" one of the great albums of the decade and still sounds great over 40 years later! One of my favorite all-time albums.
Agreed 👍💯 In my personal top 10 of all time-desert island
Billy is BOSTONIAN, Blackfoot is from JACKSONVILLE
... Born in Wellesley, actually. 👍
She’s a Runner!! You’ll have chills the entire song.
My favorite
Live
Yes She's A Runner!
More Billy Squier! Keep them coming. He had a handful of gems, and somehow never had a top 10 hit. We didn't always get it right back then. He should've had at least 5 top 5 hits.
That's crazy! Everybody I knew had this record. It's jammed with good songs!
@@triggerwarning5762 imo one a greatest rock albums ever recorded
@@bb-gc2tx You are a gentleman and a scholar, sir.
@@triggerwarning5762 thank you you as well my good sir 🤣
The tone of his voice is so unique.
SLAPPIN' DRUMS....GREAT BASSLINE....GREAT ROCK VOCALS....and, a little bit of "NAUGHTY"!!!! LOVE BILLY SQUIRE!! HUGS, YA'LL!! GREAT PICK!!
Billy Squier did record with Freddie Mercury. They collaborated on the song "Love Is the Hero". This track features Freddie Mercury on backing vocals.☮
2 awesome non-hits fron Billy Squire: "whaddya want from me" & "keep me satisfied"
Also "Nobody Knows".
"You're my candelabra ... my candelabra ... my candelabraaaaaaa .....!" 😂
That's exactly what I thought it was at first! Lol.
Now i can't unhear it.
lol whats that from ?
@@kevinwalker9924 My ex-husband thought that's what it was.
😂
This entire album is killer. Billy was really great in concert, too.
Everybody wants you is such a great song from Billy Squier.
BLA CKFOO.T question mark how are you doing that? You're out?Why is iron now boxer I get what I do
Purple smarter ball card😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
This album came out when I was a freshman in HS. It was a huge album and we constantly listened to it.
Sophomore in my time, it was BEAST🤘🏻
Nothing sounds like Billy Squier❤
Billy Squier - Rock me Tonight - Emotions in Motion - In Your Eyes - Learn How to Live
Doesn’t he do Learn How To Live with Freddie Mercury??
Billy Squier is so awesome! Definitely not recognized as well as he should and totally underappreciated! My Kinda Lover, Lonely is the Night, Stroke. So many great songs!
Follow Billy Squier with Billy Idol and now you've got something.
Billy Idol's recent live Vevo performance of Rebel Yell and Eyes Without a Face was 🔥. He has a phenomenal band. Steve Stevens hasn't lost a step either.
1984: RATT opened for Billy Squire.
One of the best concerts I’ve been to!!
In the Dark is another great jam. 🏄♂️
She’s a runner. Another great one by him.
Absolutely!
One of the funnest songs to play drums to..groovin
Big Beat
Lonely is the Night , Two Daze Gone , Learn How to live....more bangers !
Did a thumbs up before I even watched! Love, love, love Billy Squier. This is my favorite song by him. Thank you guys so much for appreciating n sharing the best music of my day!
Squier is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. Squier was one of many who was a member in Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band. He played guitar, bass, vocals (2006, 2008; occasional guest 2010-2014)
Saw Billy in ‘82 when he opened for Queen. This is my favorite song of his.
Saw him open for Queen in ‘82 - best concert I ever saw. In ‘83 I saw him headline with Def Leppard opening - another great show. Billy is from Boston, has lived in NY for a long time now.
Me too! 🤘
Me three! Saw him open for Queen in Phoenix.
@@gordons4410 @DrBrianSmithDC YAY Us! We Rule!
Billy's tunes were hot af while I was in high school. Love his stuff.
Indeed. Shades of high school, early 80s.
This song always always has rocked, since the first time I heard it many many years ago
'Rock Me Tonight' is all I can think of for next. Great tune too. Cheers.
There's no mistaking his voice. Freaking awesome!
BILLY SQUIRE - " ROCK ME TONIGHT " this is another Brilliantly made song that is totally Rockin' also from awesome Guitar riffs to heavy Drums it's Electrifying 🎸 💯 released in 1984 AMAZING too
Yeah Billy Squier🎶
"Don't Say You Love Me " is another excellent song you guys should check out from him.
This will be your 6th Billy Squire song btw and he's not canadian he was born and raised in Massachusetts. It's amazing you haven't hit the 1 song that ended his career, Rock me Tonight. When the video came out for that song and the dude bros of the time saw their guitar hero dancing around like he does in the video the national backlash was instant and thunderous. Guys bought records and concert tickets and merch and after that video came out the manliness of millions of male fans got threatened and it was over for Billy. Rock me Tonight is a FANTASTIC song and probably my favorite of his. If you do that song use the video of it and see how rediculous the situation became of it. Keep in mind this was 1984.
Billy was wrongly maligned. I watched that video and saw nothing "gay"about it. He was just being silly and goofy. Sad that young males at that time felt so threatened by that video.
I've read where he was kinda' forced into that video at the last minute, and when he had reservations about it himself, they told him it would be okay. But it wasn't, even though I always liked the song, & was never aware, until years later, what a beating his brand took over that one video. And he was so damn talented, that ignorance cost us a lot more good music. Hell, I always thought, "The Stroke" was kinda' gay myself, but it didn't stop me from liking all of his other great music.
@@SouthVARonnie The Stroke is about the music business and its so called executives etc.
It’s so wild that you are talking about that video, because I literally was talking about it last night, and for no particular reason came across this reaction and your comment! I have to admit, I never thought anything gay or otherwise, but I did think it looked embarrassingly ridiculous. I really believe he was trying to look cool dancing. If he was trying to be funny, he would’ve made it so much more obvious. It’s just made him look uncool and I felt so bad that his manager, or someone didn’t tell him, “Billy, NOoooo!!!”
Saw him in concert sounded just like the albums….
☮️❤️🙏🌏🌎🌍🙏❤️☮️
“Don’t Say You Love Me”, “Love Is The Hero”(with Freddie Mercury singing in the background), “Everybody Wants You” - can’t go wrong with any of them.
Billy Squier is Awesome!!! He was born in Wellesly, Massachusetts and now lives in NY. Try songs like "KEEP ME SATISFIED", "SHE GOES DOWN", "EMOTIONS IN MOTION", "SHE'S A RUNNER". His drummer Bobby Chouinard did not get enough recognition from the music world. He was a helluva drummer. RIP Bobby.
Loved him back in the 80s!! ❤ one of my favorite songs!
My favorite song by Billy Squier
There's no denying his voice
Love Billy Squier!! The pride of Wellesly MA!! A lot of great songs off the Don't Say No album!
The accent, even when he sings, gives him away!
This song is from another time, great memories for me. Thanks for sharing, cheers.
The drums in Billy's music just make it all work. Bobby C (rip) was a beast!!! Just drove the rock and punched the groove behind the guitars to a new level.
Everybody wants you, best song ever!! And he's not Canadian, he's from MA
Loved Billy Squier. He's from Wellesley Massachusetts, one of the most affluent areas in America. Home of Wellesley College, one of the most prestigious in America. Kinda odd for such a hard rocker. Growing up on the mean streets of Wellesley.
LOVE Billy Squier!! 😅❤❤❤ Great choice!
I saw him live as part of a "Ringo Starr and his All Star Band" tour. He performed this and “Everybody Wants You” as part of the show, it was awesome!!!
Hangin' out, driving around, cruisin' Main Street.......another one from Billy, among others in the early '80s that reminds me of those things......young, footloose and fancy free!
Back in 1981 Billy came out with his own unique sound which was the beginning for a lot of bands to follow, stroke was all over the radio, and then every week there was a different song coming from Billy one after the other, all hits, Billy Squier was all over the radio, then they made him wear a cut off pink sweatshirt and jump on a bed in his video , he didn’t wanna do it but did,he said he knew it was the end,
Oh man. I love Billy Squier. He had really good songs and could sing really good.
This whole album is great
Saw him in '82. Voice, guitar, songs. Pure Talent.
His Whaddaya Want from Me is a BANGER.✌️❤️
That same Album has Nobody Knows.. everytime I hear it I get goosebumps..
Love Billy Squire!!!♥️
Aaah yes, takes me right back to high school...love Billy Squire and great song.
OMG my favorite favorite rocker from the 80s. This is my favorite song by him. Billy Squier really has enough talent that if he hadn’t done that video, everyone would know him like we know Van Halen like we know Billy Idol because he is Awesome! And he has other hits. He’s not a one hit wonder I’m so glad y’all did this. Thanks guys.
Ah yes, the infamous "Rock Me Tonight" video.
Homophobia ran strong vs that video. Who gives a rip. The man is amazing. So what he did bad dancing vid
I agree, that video killed him.
Just returned from listening to Billy Squier on cd in my open two-seater, then I see this notification. What a great song! Memories of high school come flooding back.
He was huge in the 80’s. Bummer the way he left fora while. Get Billy on the show! Ask him to tour. We’ll all go see him.
There is still a lot of Billy Squire to enjoy.
I saw Billy Squier open for Pat Benatar in '83 at the Cape Cod Collasium. An awesome night of music.
Billy is 🔥🔥🔥
Saw him open for Queen in 82. He had been a friend of Freddie’s for a long time. ☺️
When I saw this video on MTV back in the day it was an instant favorite Jam of mine! People keep overlooking, "You Should Be High Love", another BANGER!🤘🏻
I loved this LP back in the day! Come home from work and decompress, and dance all over the apartment. TY
You've hit MOST of Billy's big hits, from his 2nd and 3rd albums, but you still have to cover "Too Daze Gone" from this album, and the title track to the 3rd album, "Emotions in Motion"
Then, you really can't avoid the lead single from his 4th album, "Rock Me Tonite". It led to all sorts of chaos (some say it's what killed Billy's career), but the song itself rocks. We'll get to the full story when you play it.
And just because Billy broke through with his 2nd album doesn't mean the debut was trash. Listen to "Young Girls", for a start.
And before he had a solo career, Billy was the lead singer for Piper, a band that never made their big breakthrough, but they rocked, too. Try "Sail Away" or "Can't Live With Ya, Can't Live Without Ya".
(Piper got some opportunities because the were managed by Bill Aucoin, who also managed KISS, so they opened for KISS on some major shows. Bill is also the reason Billy was able to transition to his solo career with relative ease.)
I always loved this song....I just love it. I also like Rock Me Tonight....it's a great tune as well.
After his Musician days he was a school teacher.
no he wasnt he attended an art school and voluntered in central park landscaping billy owns all his publishing and is a very very rich man partly because hes the most sampled rock artist in hip hop history
@@bb-gc2txelk So he was a volunteer TEACHER then . Why try to split hairs? Lol😅
@@Jimihendrix1834 yeah he taught landscaping 101🤣
Don't Say No is such a fantastic album. Every single song is a banger in its own way.
Saw him in Detroit opening for Foreigner!
Great concert!
Oh this is one of his great songs...love it!!
In July 1981, I bought both Billy Squier's "Don't Say No" album & Ozzy's "Blizzard of Ozz - & had to choose which to give as a bday gift to my friend. I kept the Billy Squier & still have it to this day. No regrets! 💓
Billy was born in Wellesley, MA but grew up on Long Island, NY. He played for my friend's birthday on Long Island.
Blackfoot is from Jacksonville, FL!! Ricky Medlocke & the Gang. Train Train, Wishing Well, Fly Away, Searchin', Highway Song & More. A GREAT Southern Rock Band!!!!
He is a favorite of mine. Saw him live several times. Great talent!
Wow! When I hear any song from the Don’t Say No album, it brings me back to high school in the year 1981. The memories will never go away!
I love Billy Squire. I will admit that I had forgotten him as I got older until Burn Notice used his songs for their commercials. Then I went head over to figure out what his catalog was.
This is my favorite Billy Squier song.
Billy Squire and his guitar playing is awesome as it always is, however the drummer is (smooth-ass killin it ) in this song!
So glad you're coming back to Billy again! I was lucky enough to see him in concert in 1982 and he absolutely rocked the house!! Now you need to do Emotions in Motion (a little slower but very cool and intense) and Rock Me Tonight. Can't miss with either of those!
Lonely is the Night! Love billy Squier!
Played this really LOUD in my Cutlass Supreme back in the day !! 80s rock !!
'Everybody Wants You' or 'She's A Runner'. Squire is a great ear candy!
Yessss!!! Billy Squier!!! It’s a sexy, gritty love song. Thank you!
