I went to Ulta today, and I was going to buy the original Naked palette. The saleswoman showed me this set and we swatched them. I Love Tarte 's palettes . I chose Tarte. I'm going to take them on my cruise.
The packaging doesn't go on my face so I'm not that bothered about it. What's important to me is that the product itself is good. I find Tarte offers good value for money. Thank you for giving us all the details on the new releases, allowing us to make an informed decision before we spend our hard earned money ❤
@@RobertaRich-n9c Unfortunately I’ve spent over $100 on a few different eyeshadow palettes over the years (none of them were worth it in my humble opinion-never again) and I swear if I lost it all tomorrow, the first palette I’d go out and buy would be the Tartelette in Bloom eyeshadow palette. I prefer Natasha Denona’s eyeshadow formulas in general but for the price Tarte’s Tartelette and Tartelette in Bloom palettes are amazing and the color story of the In Bloom suits me great. I love their Amazonian clay blushes too.
Hi Rebecca, I feel that there is a market out there for people with every budget, your luxury, high end & drugstore, what does it matter at what price point you purchase your makeup ,if you are happy with yourself and how you look with your makeup price or packaging doesn’t matter, as for these holiday collection from Tarte the shades look good, could they have done a better job with the packaging- yes I do ,maybe keeping costs down for the holidays was their objective. Love Katherine xoxo
I want my package to be a weapon 😂 the PML holiday collection is better than last year, but I'm not interested in anything. No mothership this year 🤔 holidays are coming 🙌
Well done Rrbecca! I think your points are well taken. As these products perform well and have a place. I would not purchase only because the shadows appear very warm and the blushes are too deep. I will check them out in the lighter colors in store and maybe get a few. I am not loving Pat McG these days- packaging is now a bit meh, colors are redundant and overall looks like quality has slipped a little. And you have beautiful collections from other brands which have that luxe packaging where price and quality match up. Yes to co existence 😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉 Ty Rebecca!
Those eyeshadows palettes are bigger than what I thought! I think Tarte did Great with his collection specially for the price like you said 😊I recently pick up the big palette since it look soo beautiful with such a a great formula , I will be passing this just cause Pat is coming and Dior 😂😂 thank you my friend ❤
Where I am now with my makeup purchasing, packaging matters to me. I have so much makeup, I’ve gotten very picky with purchases. I don’t like the fake gold metallic packaging at all. I’d prefer cardboard. I do see how these would be great for gifts or stocking stuffers! The 2 darkest blush shades especially caught my eye. I’ve always liked Tarte, but I dislike the packaging so much I know I’d never reach for them. I know that seems silly, but I know myself. I’d get the blush set if it had been in their regular plastic packaging.
These are 20% off at Ulta right now! I got the eyeshadows and both blush sets. So glad to hear a positive review. I was a little wary because Tarte can be hit or miss.
It’s nice Tarte’s trying to make sure there’s something for everyone-cool & warm tone palettes and different blush sets. However, I don’t want cheap packaging OR cheaply formulated shadows (discovered a metal splinter in a shadow from a Too Faced cardboard holiday palette 3 years ago). Since there’s been such a down trend with eyeshadow, I wonder why Tarte doesn’t instead release a single holiday limited edition palette in their metal packaging like is used for the Tatelette in Bloom. They could just put some different shadows in it & a different wrapper on the lid. One year can be warm toned, the next can be cool toned, jewel toned, etc. I stopped buying the annual Too Faced pumpkin spice palettes when they switched to cardboard that one year-and haven’t gone back since bc it broke my collector mentality that had been keeping me buying them year after year.
Tarte is for makeup wears not makeup collectors. They are a workhorse solid brand but not all the bells and whistles. They are the Buick of makeup. Reliable dependable do the job but not showy
It’s so true. Do you know what I’m watching like some reality show and a woman is speaking on camera while applying make up, it’s generally urban decay or tarte
Oh man. Those pallets are amazing. I don´t really know which one is my favorite. But then again, I loooooove pink, but then the blue.... Oh my my. Thank you, Ms. Rebecca, I love your videos.
Wow! You get all three eye shadow palettes for $55! I thought it would that amount for each and that would be a good price lol. Lololol you are funny “the highlighter name is…shine.”😐 If I were purchasing the Tarte eye shadow trio of palettes, it would be for me! I may get them because I can’t get past the price for shadows that perform well. The blushes are definitely coming home with me! I definitely do high-low makeup. I have a loved L.A. Girl eye shadow palette, Dior, Natasha Denona, and Pat McGrath. I also love my indie brands and an increasing number of them are surpassing ND and Tom Ford price points! Thank you so much for the review. 🌸 Edited to add-I used your Ulta link to buy the Berry set of blushes. Thank you!!💃🏿
Those blushes are gorgeous! I love shades that are considered too dark for me. I love to lightly apply blush and be happy. I love not having to build thing up. Oh, I’ll do it but I prefer to just slap things on. I’ve become very lazy, makeup wise. Honestly, I’m really not attracted to any of this. But, I love your reviews.❤
Yes, Rebecca. If you care about quality of product you're using Luxury makeup becomes silly, as it has for me. In fact, luxury brand eyeshadows become really boring because of the lack of variety of finishes. I thought luxury was where I was supposed to get the best bang for my buck because of the price. That's really wrong and even more wrong in skincare. I think luxury makeup is for people who don't really want to wear that much makeup, they don't really want it to be seen. So yeah, i really like your videos and will continue to watch them, but the luxury sector is not where I go for quality anymore.
Tarte has historically been hard to get here in the UK. It's easier now but doesn't really appeal to me tbh and I don't hear great things about the quality. I think giving eyeshadow palettes can be hard especially as more simple and one and done looks are so much more popular, especially with the youngers! I'm always interested to see brands holiday offerings tho!
In general I am neutral on packaging, I like it to be effective and not flimsy bug added weight when I travel is not something I adore specifically. So now dior/ chanel palette packaging is mostly plastic also. I'd love it to be metal for many reasons. Yet no-one complains it looks/ feels cheap. What's different. Imho Charlotte tilbury packaging looks cheap to me in many cases , maybe this is the same feel?
There's something about the chanel and dior that some how makes it "considered well designed plastic!" The CT stuff I agree looks pretty cheap at times!
At first I thought this is wasteful to get three pallets if you just want one. But the bejeweled one looks awesome. And the golden one looks amazing on you. Sooooo maybe. But I don’t have anyone else in my circle that wears makeup sufficiently to get them an eyeshadow pallet. ☹️ My makeup circle is all on UA-cam. Which is why I’m so happy to find you here. If I can think of someone for that berry pallet- I’m going for it. 😎
Hi lovely Rebecca !! Tarte fiesta 🎉 . I do like me some luxury packaging but if the shadows and products preform well I don’t mind mixing it up . This packaging does seem on the cheaper looking side though . Great a gifts for Xmas . I’m still loving my Tarte tubing mascara. Tarte is available here in the UK on QVC ❤🤗
Hi Rebecca,my most used pallet was the tartlette in bloom by tarte & I really got my money’s worth back in the day, that light gold got me into wearing gold eyeshadow so it was a lovely experience,I still have it & I went for the warmer tones in the pallet 😊🇬🇧🇺🇸
The PML packaging is odd to me. I don't know why they don't put it in plain black cardboard packaging. Everyone knows it's cheaper than the mothership packing but no need for the weird pictures on it. That's probably just me though 😂
I think it’s great for those who are on a budget! The prices of everything is getting outrageous, and seems like a great idea if you would need multiple gifts while on saving some money.
I'm surprised by the packaging. In the past, I've loved the fancy Tarte packaging. I have one eye shadow quad by Tarte that has floating sparkles in the lid! However, I bought a Christmas special from them in the past and was disappointed by the eyeshadows and gave it to my nieces. I find that many brands offer some sort of mega package special at Christmas but the quality is not as high as their normal releases.
A lot of times, companies will change their manufacturing location for holiday releases to cut costs. That's assuming they don't produce the majority of their products in China, but Tarte is actually notorious for this.
A past me that had less makeup would have purchased these eyeshadow palettes. Nowadays I have all the shades and can travel with something I already own that is good but not an absolute favorite. If I was purchasing I’d want to know if the shadow lasted. That’s one of the biggest differences I find between the formulas. If they put out a new Tartlette palette each year I would be more tempted.
I would like to give my mom a luxury eyeshadow palette for Christmas, but im not sure which formula is best for mature dry eyelids. What brand or palette you would recommend? ❤❤
Rebecca I appreciate you going through all these in case of interest. I guess I’m definitely conserving on my purchases. But on the other hand, I’ve gotten picky that I really like the shades, packaging etc. I do agree there is room for both. Just need to be wowed by the colors, performance etc. The overall collection doesn’t scream to me. I do have nieces but I guess they’re a bit snobby too. Actually they probably would be into inexpensive, like morphe or color pop depending on colors etc.
Good Morning Rebecca 🌞 So today we are finally only going to be in the low 90’s instead of the 100’s. 😂 🎉 Happy first day of Fall! 🍁 So the actual cosmetic product seems to be much better than in years past holiday releases. The packaging, well I do think the company tries to saves costs where they can. Look at what PM has been doing with recent releases. Cardboard packaging as compared to what her earlier releases had been. I’ve really never been too impressed with the Tarte holiday packaging. As far as gifting, maybe it would be fine for those that aren’t finicky about the packaging and maybe for a younger person. My niece ( now in her early 30’s) will get a higher end gift. She has worked extremely hard this year and I want to give her something to reflect her efforts. Tarte price point for this release seems to be pretty darn good considering the amount of products you get and seeing that the cosmetic quality itself is good, it’s not a bad deal at all. Happy Sunday! Hugs 🤗 ~CeCe 🥀🍁
I'd buy this for the teens in my life. I don't want them to get into luxury makeup at their age I want them to have fun with make up and not feel they can't throw it away when they're done with it. It also means I can get them something like this plus something else like a book
I love Tarte products. I love their holiday sets because I can make one or two purchases and be set with gifts for all the girls in my family. They go on sale all the time too so you can definitely get them cheaper or use someone's code to get 15% off. My most used pallete is from the honeysuckle holiday set last year which I got for 20 bucks on sale & it included a lip liner & MJ lip.
Hi dear Rebecca, thanks for another very good video, wow, so much work!!!👏👏🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 The cool toned palette, since Wayne Goss still did not bring back his Smokey Quartz palette, which is different, but i see comparisons in the mattes maybe? Question 1, is the formula of this more cool toned palette close to the Wayne Goss formula, question 2, are the matte colours a bit like the Smokey Quartz? I was just wondering, don't expect another video of course, and so much shadows still here, but i was just wondering as my WG Smokey Quartz palette gets older. Sending you lots of love!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Tarte is a great brand, but I wish they would lose the cheap plastic for their holiday sets. I'd prefer they use eyeshadow palettes like the small Tartelette Tease or Jewel palette... more compact & environmentally friendly. Wake up Tarte! Your customers want you to listen. You can sell us a great product AND stop killing the environment. Please, stop with the cheap plastic. Rebecca, I love your videos!
I like the cheek set and I LOVE that it’s not put in a palette🙏🏻. Nice way to try some colors in smaller sizes and have for travel as they seem more lightweight than PMcG, CT etc. I hope the highlight isn’t too fragile, I do need a travel highlight, Pats are just crumble mania.
I travel not enough to justify a travelcollection. And for at home I want something fancy and nice but there is a limit. I love the packaging of Chantecaille but not the pricetag, it is too much for just eyecandy. At the end, it is makeup not a showpiece. Packaging can be a turn off, so this golden plastic packaging is a turn off for me. Not because it's plastic but just how tacky it looks. I don't think I get this because it is not fancy for my taste. Knowone will ever see it as knowone will be in my bedroom to come watch my collection. So its just for me. Quality has priority over packaging and if drugstore or mid-brands can deliver, why not? But I do prefer Natasha Denona eyeshadow over Colourpop but for blush I'm less picky. My most used single blush is of Kiko, that is not an expensive brand.
I've been waiting to see Tarte's holiday offerings. I find Tarte holiday sets to be hit or miss. Most of their packaging is pretty, but on the cheaper side, but that doesn't bother me too much. Sometimes their shadows don't perform as well, but maybe that's because they're holiday editions. It's too bad Too Faced doesn't have cute whimsical sets this year. Tarte and Too Faced have some of the best values for holiday sets for gifts.
Oh wow. For travel these. They’re just so much more compact and you can kind of choose your mood. Actually I think these. A little less choice sometimes when you’re looking at a pallet is better
@NotFitforPrintBeauty ok that's all I needed, you swayed me! I have been going back and forth since color wise there at least seems to be similar colors between them. So thank you!
Hi Rebecca, I’d honestly be embarrassed to give that as a gift in that cheap packaging…..won’t be purchasing Tarte this year! You really took 1, well more than 1, for the team. ❤

I totally hear you on that, I wish they would change things up too.
Honestly, it’s not fragile at all
“The highlighter’s name is Shine”… followed by the 🙄! I love it 😂😂😂
Right?! All these creative names and then they just give up on that one!
You are right that packaging shouldn't be the deciding factor for a product!
Too faced might still but I don’t see anything yet
Tarte does not give me joy. I do like the lip glosses bc they are great for the purse. But the powder products- no joy.
The lip glosses are definitely a good choice for the purse!
I like the Rose color set, I’m a cool tone girl!
🌹
I really want the shadows and the berries blushes
They are very pretty
Ok question, if you had to pick one to buy...these eyeshadows OR the 25th aniversary palette?
I would buy these for myself😊.
I sure did!
Love your haircut!

Hi Rebecca, I’d honestly be embarrassed to give that as a gift in that cheap packaging…..won’t be purchasing Tarte this year!
You really took 1, well more than 1, for the team. ❤
It is definitely a bit different from their usual packaging, you're right!

Thank you so much! It means the world to me
