Thank you sooooooo very much for posting this video if it wasnt for you posting it we would never even have an idea how it might be there Thank you so much keep up the good work ! LOVE IT GOOD JOB!!
Machu Picchu is a very spiritual and beautiful place. One of the wonders of the world. So much History inclosed in itself. Our planet has so much beauty to share with us. Even though we are not able to travel at times, technology help us appreciate in video clips what we yearn to know and see.
We were there in December 2007 and it was an awesome experience. We also thought the people were soooo nice and friendly and the cuisine was a wonderful surprise. We eat regularly in New York City so when I say the cuisine is excellent, believe it!! Just go there at least once in your life.
We contiunue to marvel at the breathtaking locale and mystery surrounding the Lost City of the Inca : Machu Picchu. If Hiram Bingham was still around today he would have loved your UA-cam video...Thanks Dennis!
im glad i saw this video. it has officially uninfluenced me to go to maccu picchu. Had no idea this place became so mainstream. Anyone that knows of another beautiful attraction that is far less attainable, please let me know.
I will see you someday. I was on a train ride to SF in 2010 and sat next to a guy wearing a shirt from Machu Picchu and described it to me as extremely spiritual, just as our missionary/host friends told us. Felt so bad about missing our chance.
Saludos.
Absolutely amazing and wonderous. I would love to see Machu Picchu before I get too old! How much would that trip cost from Las Vegas, Nevada? Hmmmmm . . . You did an awesome job on this video!!! Thanks for sharing
1) Machu Picchu was a highly civilised ancient city up in the mountains. It depended on trade and fairness, as the leader was generous and knew what he was doing. They traded and sent messages using scouts which were fast and ran across perilous roads to deliver messages of knotted strings and trade. The civilisation always brought in great harvests and were never hungry, as about 40% of the food they generated was stored in case of emergency. The sick were treated immediately.
At 8,000 feet, the Iti Wantana provided line of sight to four mountain Gods in four cardinal direction and was a high point above the holy river. The direction North pointed to the heavens for the Mayan. What direction is the Sacred Rock sketch against the mountain.
@eKuL1995 my english is not very good, but welcome to Peru, my friend. I went in september, 2001. Cuzco and Machu Picchu are beautiful, the best. Greetings from Lima.
2) The stone that was cut was in extreme alignment. You can't even stick a thin knife in between these perfectly cut cobblestones. The leaders were descendants of a man who called himself "The son of the Sun". The civilisation ate potatoes and other products that could be grown.
Could this place have been a place to fast and heal such as the Temple Of Aesculap in Ancient Greece? That would explain the shortage of food (agriculture) since people were fasting to get well.
I like how you state this is a dream for most travelers. Hacking my way through the Andes in 100 percent humidity and fending off rogue natives who will kill you for your boots does not sound like a dream. Pretty cool to see in a video though.
It must have taken them for a long time to hual those rocks and stones up the moutain and carve them. It seems to me like by the time they were done that the Spanish invaded (I know the time was large in between)
DENNIS, PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION...MY WIFE AND I WOULD LIKE TO TRAVEL TO CUZCO AND MACHU PICCHU, HOW SAFE IS IT? WE HERE OF ABDUCTED AMERICANS, BANDITOS, ETC. WHATS YOUR OPINION? MIKE
In my opinion it is quite safe, especially in the tourist areas of central Cuzco and Machu Picchu. I have no information about safety of hiking the Inca trails however.
@destroyer044 the best culture is really an opinion, The Mayans left written history on stele's and were just as impressive in there architecture. If u really want to be impressed Puma punku boggles the mind on how in the world were these ruins accomplished back in prehistoric times. 200 ton granite and diorite stones cut to precision to interlock. Only thing known to man that can cut diorite is diamond tip tools.

Beautiful scenery. They should demolish those ugly old buildings and build a luxury resort there with a spa and a huge shopping mall!
Yes they did
wow!
Machu Picchu? Sounds like a sneeze.

No, they should keep the "ugly old buildings" because they're a part of history. There are enough spas in the world

in my country (Serbia)..."mach" means Sword and "pichu" reminds of "Pichku" /(Vagina) so...the translate would be "sword in vagina"... xDDD
