I can explain that a whole lot better and faster. You played a V7-VI in the key of B minor, using note sequences from B harmonic minor, or D augmented major. You could also look at it as just B minor but with a dominant V instead of minor v. Most minor key music does make the 5 dominant.

This is called F# Phrygian dominant, the 5th mode of the B harmonic minor scale. Nice video!
