- Join the Backwoods Boys in an "on the fly" episode as the unexpected shows up right outside the cabin door. Shane argues with the visitor about who the bait beaver carcass belongs too, and his housecat, Arya, (brought north to keep mice out of the cabin) doesn't seem quite sure how to feel about the realization that she is far from the biggest cat in the neighbourhood.

@@BackwoodsBoys don't see as many as I thought I would in Northern Ontario. Finally got a nighttime trailcam photo to prove they're on my property. Have seen their rabbit kills for years. Last June I finally saw one run into the bush in person which was nice. Beautiful animals and your pet one wasn't that frightened of you. Guess it was really hungry. Miss your trapline vids, keep them coming.👍
was a rough winter on lynx here in north eastern bc, rabbit population is way down and lynx are starving out been a bumper crop on lynx the last three years but rabbits reached their peak a couple winters ago and was a wet summer for the little bunnys last year, most of the lynxs i trapped this year was in terrible shape and had several at my wolf baits and had a few given to me that people shot in their yard after their livestock and some were seen taking down deer
Ah man that's sad to see. Nature is good at balancing populations but it sure does so brutally. Hate to see them suffering like that.
