Brilliant! Bravissimo! This is how I could only dream of playing it (even though I won a city-wide competition playing this piece -- a long time ago!). Does anybody know what clarinet model Mr. Pires was using in this performance? Also the mouthpiece and the ligature? Thanks very much in advance to anybody who can provide this information.
@@sergiopires1786 Thank you so much for getting back to me. By the way, if you have a recorded performance of Weber's 2nd Concerto, I would love to watch you work your magic! All the best!
@@sergiopires1786 You would be stellar at it! Wishing you the best of success -- and hopefully you will tour the United States some day, including San Francisco!
I heard this one a few years ago performed by Steven Silverstein "The Great" with orchestra...You know the man who invented your ligature. He understood that the work is a "theme and variations" and performed it like that. Go back over it with this one idea in mind and perhaps it will then sound like "von Weber".
dude...I am soooooo sick of the stoltzman impersonators ....it hurts this already mediocre performance...you wanna dance? take up dancing lessons and loose the clarinet....sorry....the truth hurts....i only say this cuz I did the same thing when I was in high school/college and I know better now
I'm sure Carl Maria von Weber would have been delighted with this performance.
Thank you!!
I love your sound, you have a great and clean stacatto. You are an inspiration to me😊
Rúben Fonseca obrigado Ruben! Fico contente ! :)) cumprimentos!
Superlative performance! Bravo. John Kinsey
