I get that this video is a demonstration for pharmacy school, but imagine if in the real world we had to counsel on every new prescription like this in a retail pharmacy where you have to verify 500+ scripts and give out 30 shots a day.😂

She forgot to introduce her self as being the pharmacist.

She introduced herself, just not well enough and at the wrong time but if someone in a doctor outfit speaks to me about my prescription I would automatically assume they were a pharmacist

Useful information but a bit dragging because won’t have so much time to spend with one patient

    Kinds of questions
    Do you have any allergies?
    Any other medical conditions?
    Pregnant or breastfeeding?
    Taking any other medications?
    Age?
    Creatinine Clearance for dose adjustment?

4:08 it needs to be refrigerated to keep it from going bad, not because of the taste 🤦🏻‍♀️

It is stable at room temperature for 7 days . Refrigeration required if longer than that👍

Oh good god do people in America really have to go through all this just to get a damn medicine? Like thats why we go to the dr no? Just give me my bag of medicines and let me go lol

      1) This setting is not in the US, considering they give the child's temp in Celsius.
      2) in my experience, we do not have to go through that. Just go up to the counter, ask for meds, receive and pay for meds. Walk out. Sometimes if it's a new med, they will ask if you need a consult, but that is on the customer/patient to decide yes or no

That’s in Canada and it was excessive back and forth conversation for educational purposes.

@@HitomiMudo a pharmacist’s job is to give the patient direction on how to use the medication and inform them of the common side effects and whatever information the patient asks for about the medication. If they don’t do this then they’re not doing their job appropriately and it could result in the misuse of the medication.
