Hello, i've got a saulosi tank and my fish are about 6 months now, all yellow. But at what age are the male turning blue? And how much time does it take to turn blue, overnight, weeks or months? Greetings from Amsterdam, Holland.

Hey, it's about size, not age.
Anywhere from 2-3.5" Males should start turning blue.
Mine usually transition around 2.5"
Dominant males can turn full blue within 1-2 weeks.
Subdominant males will take longer.

Thanks Ron. Been trying breeding mine as well. Have 3 batches of fry with the oldest batch over 2 1/2 months but very little to no yellow. Wondering if there is something wrong with my Saulosi parents or if it’s something I’m doing wrong.
