I just had these issues with my Ulterra and through much trial and error got it working again. Now my powerhead is 180 degrees out so now I can fix that too. Thanks for posting this!
Thanks but as an Ulterra owner myself, I feel it is INSANITY that Minnkota markets a product this complicated, and this susceptible to ruining a fishing trip. There should be a 100% disconnect from all the electronics, and a ROPE (like on the Ultrex), that allows one to use this motor manually once the auto feature fails. That way, multi-thousand dollar trips are not ruined by this unit. I spoke to the engineers that work for me, and ALL said that is not difficult to engineer into the unit.
