You can learn how to do your taxes in less than 30 minutes while Geometry take can take an entire year to memorize. Although I agree finding the circumference of a circle is pretty much pointless. WE should be learning how to grow potatoes in school. You need potatoes during a zombie apocalypse, not the ability to measure circles.
In my high school we're required to take a class called Consumer Management and we learn about taxes, banking, budgeting, buying a car, buying a house, college research/fees, and we do a little bit of cooking. There's also a mock job interview, but I didn't do that because I took the class in summer school lol.

lolol I live in Chicago suburbs. Ehhh the cafeteria food at my school is alright, but I'm not that picky so idk. I wish we had Chipotle catering :O I would eat it so much. The school in a neighboring town has a ton of catering. So jealous.

My high school had a class that taught practical math like taxes and loan stuff. Thing was, it was looked at as the "dumb" math class for those of us that couldn't pass the other ones... But at least I know how to budget!

in Australia my car registration is approximately $747. my registration for the car itself is approx $250 the remainder is put towards TAC. TAC is a government body which pays for your hospital treatment/recovery/injury expenses if you were to be in a serious accident. so expensive 😣

I'm study civil engineering, and all of those fees are used to maintain the roads. There's not enough funding going towards the maintenance of roads and people don't want to pay more taxes on fuel, because i mean we all poor haha. But yeah, basically there's not enough funding to pay for roads, so those fees goo towards that, but the money is still not enough to maintain them so roads are still f'd up, but we don't want to pay more taxes ...and we just go back in circles! Hope that kind of makes sense, I'm not an expert but that's what i kind of know and have learned.
