Yes, Finally! Thank you guys so much for being so dedicated to your consumers! Now, I've heard rumors of a surface update as well... Would these rumors be true?
Rumors - how exciting! :) We'd love to do a Surface update in the future, but it's not in the works at the moment. We will send out a notification if and when we have one! Thank you!
Clear and concise. Needed to use Zadig so I'm glad that was in there. Excited to try new features and relieved the dry/wet issue is finally fixed! Great work Qu-Bit!!
As someone around tech support, this video is superbly done... "without any sort of eject function." 🙀you read my mind.. Great job on this, and the manual revision looks ace!
We recommend performing the calibration procedure after updating your Data Bender for the best possible pitch tracking. Data Bender does perform a software calibration when it is updated, so if that calibration is sufficient for your patching there's no need to calibrate!
Wow, that's daring. Being on 1.4.4 as that is the highest 1.x.x version it can show. If any one finds a bug, you need to to v2 or introduce a purple (5) and/or orange (6) numbering 😅.
That neb at the end of the video has the boot error LED code! Unfortunately I know what that looks like firsthand. Updated firmware, still stuck. Factory reset, still stuck. I ended up returning it (it was a used unit). Although I do plan to simply replace it with a new unit because it’s an amazing module.

All you need for updating your Data Bender is the Daisy Web Programmer, and a Chrome browser regardless of OS! The web programmer will only work with Chrome, hence it's necessity. If you are having issues updating, feel free to reach out to our tech support team, and we'd be happy to dive into the update process in greater detail with you.
I can't get zadig or the daisy web programmer to say DSFU in FS mode...I had no problem using Zadig when downloading the pams new workout firmware either...I used two different cables and tried both methods described for boot mode...I have the newest version of DB as well...Please help!
A couple things to troubleshoot if Zadig is failing: - double check that "DFU in FS Mode" is the selected device, and that no other devices are selected. - Try using a different USB cable, and/or a different USB port - ensure that WinUSB is the target driver. If these troubleshoots don't change the outcome, let us know!
Cant get the Daisy Web Programmer to connect, did the Zadig, my computer CAN see the DFU in FS mode but chrome browser cant and I did allow chrome to connect to USB devices so kinda lost 🥺
@@Hirsbrochannel I'm sorry the web programmer didn't work out! To confirm, when you used Zadig, you selected WinUSB as the replacement driver for "DFU In FS Mode"? That would make it so your computer sees the Daisy Seed, but not the web programmer.
Anyone has an easy idea how to extract the .bin file? I tried The unarchiver, terminal, various apps. I can't extract it! Please help, thx... I'm on mac pro 13.4.1
On MacOS, you should just need to double-click the .zip file downloaded from our site, and the .bin file will auto-extract. Once that is complete, load the .bin file into the web programmer!
@@QuBitElectronix Thank you! But for some reason when i download the zip it just then just gives me a bin file. maybe its because i have a way old ios but i usually never have a problem with zips
Worked first time for me Chrome browser on MacOS 10.15.7. Thank you for the update and simple instructions!
Great to hear it was smooth for you. Thanks for letting us know!
sweet and simple. all is working like a charm, thank you Qubit
Ah, brilliant. Glad to hear it. :)
woah this is a major update!! Awesome Job! I'm having so much fun with the new features. Really brought this module to life with the latest..
That's exactly what we want to hear - great news!
Excellent guide! Just installed and ready to go dive in. Thanks ya'll!
Glad it helped, and thanks for watching!

Worked for me! Thanks for this guide.
Great news, COB!
Excited to update my Data Bender 🙂 Will you do a video explaining what's new in this latest firmware?
The next installment in our Data Bender tutorial series will go over all the new features found in the most recent update!
Clear and concise. Needed to use Zadig so I'm glad that was in there. Excited to try new features and relieved the dry/wet issue is finally fixed! Great work Qu-Bit!!
Great news, especially the Zadig part. Well done!
Excellent! Good job on the manual update, too.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks a lot for the Update aswell as for the detailed instruction video on the updating process! 😀
Our pleasure - and glad the video could help you!

Glad the style works for you and also was useful. Mission accomplished. :)
Clear and concise. I like it!
Thank you!
1.4.5 successfully flashed. Cheers!
enjoy!
I will be happy to join in the UA-cam again.
Thanks! Simple and elegant as always Qu-Bit!
Do I need to calibrate my module as described in the PDF after upgrading the firmware?

Perhaps too daring ;) we've added a few more numbers/colors to our firmware color scheme!
Okay this worked, installing the "zadig" driver felt a bit dodgy but I guess we need to thank Microsoft for screwing with the USB driver on windows.
It is an unfortunate step for some people to have to do, but it gets the job done!
I’m too excited about this to do the actual update..😬

The link on your website to download the firmware is not a .zip file but the .bin file. Just a heads up.
noted, and the firmware file is now zipped!
