When it comes to Notre Dame, maybe, and work with me here, but maybe Indiana just has a good run defense and has had a good run defense all season long. That suckeye team you are so impressed by was held to 115 rush yards on 29 carries by Indiana. In general they held OSU to 5.7 yards per play, where Tennessee let up 7.4 per play. While it's probably true that Georgia isn't going to give up a 98 yard TD, their run defense has been a lot softer the past two seasons than in 2021 and 2022, which is a big part of why they got knocked out in the SEC championship last year.

"what if Alabama lost to a 4-8 Cincinnati" really takes the cake here when Alabama lost actually 24-3 to 6-6 Oklahoma AND lost to 6-6 Vanderbilt earlier in the season. I don't need to run a hypothetical to say they were inconsistent and lost to bad/mediocre teams. You're falling over yourself trying to justify what we all know is a bunch of nonsense to argue that SEC teams should be able to go to the playoff with a bunch of losses, and that's not how it works. Strength of schedule is a largely subjective metric, and Vegas lines are designed to make the house money, not predict winners and losers. Stop it with these absolutely moronic arguments that you're parroting from ESPN talking heads.
Ohio State better win with all the NIL money they put into that team.... if they don't it'll be a massive massive failure... But I still think Georgia's going to take it all......
The problem for years has been a room full of guys saying who is better now it's conference champs at the top and a room full of guys deciding the last few in. They are conference champs.... it doesn't matter where Clemson was ranked at the end they were the top of the acc if anyone you are saying is better they would have been the conference champ. You are all crying trying to politic for a team the old way now it come down to just win your conference conference. Strength of schedule means nothing at some point your going to be playing the bottom half and have that counted against you look at Oregon next year are they going to be a wash if they win out
Tennessee was outmatched but the suckeye worship is a bit delusional. Oregon has the better coach and QB, which is plenty enough to overcome recruiting talent. Tennessee's defense did not have the DL nor the secondary to match up with an elite offense like this, and that's why they got shredded. It's also why Oregon beat them and Penn State keeps holding them to low point totals each year. They have the players to match up. They are very much beatable and I suspect Dan Lanning is gonna get that done again.
might as well since that's where the best teams come from. the other conferences are a joke. just be honest about it. if they wanna compete with the big boys they should join a bigger/better conference and stop hiding in their weak conference playing against high school teams all season.
And then he comes with the absolute nonsense about 2023 Georgia, ignoring the entire context of that season. Who the hell are you putting Georgia in over? Alabama beat them. Texas beat Alabama. Both were 12-1 P5 champions, which Georgia was not. Michigan and Washington were both 13-0 P5 champions. A 13-0 P5 champion was already left out of that playoff so the SEC would have its de facto auto-bid ffs. Meanwhile, TCU made it in 2022 because they were 12-1 and there was no other team with a comparable record to even debate against them. Alabama and Penn State were both 10-2 and both had no business participating. This dude is a complete and utter clown. The idea that the SEC always has to prove itself when the media still won't shut up about how there should've been more of those teams, when the SEC always gets the benefit of the doubt no matter what, when SEC teams are allowed to lose multiple games and still be considered within the playoff hunt while no other teams with the same records are given that same consideration is so laughably delusional that I don't think it can be accurately described with words.
I don't understand yalls arguments. A team can't help if their scheduled opponents win or lose or when or if they are ranked when they play. To have it your way it would be all sec in the playoffs? That's a joke man. I think atleast 3 of the power 4 conference champions should be in the playoffs b/c if it's done any other way then college football is over. And I'm from s. Carolina I see what the gamecocks have done all my life they would be embarrassed in a playoff game because they always choke in those big moments case and points bama and lsu 🤷
How do you guys feel that Ohio state is going to win the whole thing just because they beat Tennessee come on man be realistic they played them in the freezing cold none of the teams that played in the cold that was from a hot State did not win ..... when Ohio State matchup against Oregon they are going to lose for a third time. Oregon is faster than them Oregon in the freezing cold either
Why did I keep hearing Alabama's mouth Tennessee don't belong you just said but they beat Alabama who then lost two other games to 500 teams they lost 25% of the games this is what happens when you talk a lot
Texas played the same schedule as Indiana they had one hard game Georgia and lost and then lost to them again so don’t give me that they are so great when they schedule wasn’t great either but you don’t talk about that cause it’s sec and there is the bias again
You're verifiably incorrect. Sagarin data showed that Texas played the 20th hardest schedule in the country. Outside of Georgia, that's one of the highest rates in the playoffs. Oregon, Norte Dame, ASU, OSU, they all played easier schedules according to Sagarin. Texas is correctly 5-2 against top 30 teams, which, by the way, is what Vegas looks at when setting lines. 5-2 is the same as Georgia and is better than ever one else in the playoffs. There is very clear, public data that refuses the narratives against the Texas schedule.
@@mja207 You can't only consider strength, but strength is a factor. Texas rates well in every category, according to Vegas anyway. Indiana has the 74th hardest schedule and they are 1-2 against the top 30 teams. That is all Sagarin data points. Texas played the 20th hardest schedule and is 5-2 against the top 30 teams. Those two squads aren't comparable in that way. I still think Indiana should be in the playoffs, I'm just addressing the idea that they had the same path as Texas.

They are conference champs.... it doesn't matter where Clemson was ranked at the end they were the top of the acc if anyone you are saying is better they would have been the conference champ. You are all crying trying to politic for a team the old way now it come down to just win your conference conference. Strength of schedule means nothing at some point your going to be playing the bottom half and have that counted against you look at Oregon next year are they going to be a wash if they win out
Conference champions only playoff.
How about the best Big 10 plays the best SEC on January 1st each year and call it a bowl game
might as well since that's where the best teams come from. the other conferences are a joke. just be honest about it. if they wanna compete with the big boys they should join a bigger/better conference and stop hiding in their weak conference playing against high school teams all season.
I guess what you're saying is SEC teams are too soft to play in cold weather.
No ALL southern teams are look at SMU!
Alabama lost too tennessee
You really can’t go by strength
@@mja207
You can't only consider strength, but strength is a factor.
Blake is a joke. ND beats UGA by 63. CMF wins multiple championships before BK at LSU.
