Best review of the Commander Pro! Great insights and great skills riding! I've been eying this wheel for a very long time; changed my mind once after batch 1, but later came back when I saw improvements and very little amount reviews of this wheel. I'll be getting my Commander Pro in a month! Super happy to see it pulled through and has proven itself a great wheel. And I agree, this wheel has been slept on... But that's because the way batch 1 came out imo. Thanks for putting together this great review!
G-Day Bud my names Marz.... Great vid & great info.... Well done.... Thanx 4 sharing.... New supporter.... Also i put ya vid in my EUC playlist just thought i'd let ya know.
This was a great review. I have been hesitant to get the EB Commander Pro because of it's weight, but it sounds like I just need to get it and grow some muscles.
It’s for sure a beast but it’s a labor intensive wheel for singletrack riding even after 1000+ miles conditioning but it is also very good at it. For sure beat long range 55-60 miles of trails on a single charge
Been waiting for a big battery wheel that can not only give you a shot on the trails, but actually be enjoyable out there. Makes for a fine well rounded wheel that you can bring on road trips and far away community riding events that can handle all the rides and not give you range anxiety. Looking forward to getting one quite soon!
Yea it’s a awesome wheel especially for its range. I rode the trails downhill, then hope on the pavement and ride back up the mountain on the road at 45mph faster than cars can run the twisty mountain roads
I don’t make videos too often. Usually only if new badass trail I find or if I got a new wheel. But wasn’t able to make videos for past 4/5 months because of all the rain and snow California got this year.
Ya buddy, 100lbs is a lot of Kandy to throw around on dirt & rocks. I've taken my ex30 out as well but its definitely not as playful as the T4. But its much more capable than I expected & very surprisingly, the ex30's suspension feels better on dirt than the T4. Would love to try the CP to compare with my ex30. Good stuff Chance PS: Personally lower CG or higher, they need different techniques to ride. No doubt the ex30 needs to be muscled more but eventually, one adapts & it becomes instinctive. Jumping on after, T4 feels super wobbly. The ex has awesome pedal height with no clips at all unlike the RS
Yea agreed. Still think ex30 is terrible for off-road it’s natural state is upright, it doesn’t like to be pitched over into turns, can the rider adapt and learn to fight the “anti” lean of the ex30 off-road? Sure they can but doesn’t make it a pleasurable experience to ride, at least in my opinion, along with the awkward battery boxes being to far forward and back I think the cp is the much better option for off-road/all arounder. Not saying ex30 can’t do all of that just not the same user experience. The t4 is fun because of how light it is it reminded me of my rs
@@wattssingletrack8874 Ya I get that as I wouldnt have gotten the ex30 if it was my only wheel. T4 is so much more playful on the technical stuff. That said, I still wonder how much is the geometry & how is the tire. If amusing that the CP comes with street rubber while the ex30 comes with the knobby. It would have lots better if it was the Shinko 244/241 knobby as either have a much rounder profile. Cant help but feel the lumpy handling is due to the CST
Great review. I have the Master and have found it top-heavy and the suspension is not what I would call smooth, quiet, or compliant. I know lots of people like it, but I have not gotten used to it yet. So far, the Master disappoints. Hopefully, that will change with more miles.
So stock master linkage is not great at all with the new aftermarket links are way better. That being said it still does not even compare to this fork suspension. If you don’t like the master I’d recommend finding a cp to try and potentially sell your master and get a cp
You have some good insights on trail riding a heavy wheel. Moved to a Sherman S from a little S18 (“good garbage” haha) and expected a big trade off for weight but found it surprisingly nimble (I am 6’-2”, 200 lbs). The pedal height and torque is a huge plus. Never rode a 134v so probably don’t know what I am missing there. Impressive riding and video as always.
S18 was just so problematic I broke 6x separate packs, the nickel strips fail in them a LOT !! If you ever see your charger flicker green then back to red your pack is done for. But yea the s18 is a fun super nimble wheel, just too many flaws, weak outer shell, weak rim, bad pack design. But enjoy it, thrash it, break it, and move on to new wheels. Rinse and repeat 😀😆
It’s actually fairly decent every except you need to silicone the motor cable hole. Extremebull left it unsealed. I did talk to the extremebull ceo about it as well so it should be addressed in further batches. But it’s the best long range trail wheel for sure
@@wattssingletrack8874 appreciate that info thanks . I have the s18, v11, and the ex.n . I’m ready for a new wheel, it’s between all the “ extreme “ wheels the begode one you worked on , commander pro and mini , but also considering the Patton . I’m just my dream but Id love to see a Sherman s as 134 v pro or max version ha. Anyway looking forward to your review on the new begode , id go spring over air shock too. I’m glad you brought up the issue with begode about 1st batch having problems and screwing over riders who spend hard earned money . Super glad they are trying to learn what riders want from you ! Looking forward to more videos peace
Fork vs linkage, both are smooth, almost in their own way but I think linkage is the way to go for off-roading. Forks work good for street. All my other wheels now feel like they have no suspension at 80-90mm vs the extreme has so much travel it makes a huge difference. Especially when you add Sag
I want Begode Extreme's suspension, with 4800Wh battery for street riding. Though at 130mm travel, it only matched S22's suspension travel. 150 mm travel would be sweet, since S22 still bottom out on some occasions.
@@wattssingletrack8874 Need to rewire the brain to get use to it in low speed. I already have a very strong legs. I would get it for the range and speed. With 22" wheel and 130mm suspension travel would glide over potholes and pedestrian curves much easier.
@@Hunter_Heart it would also be extremely heavy which affects how flickable a wheel is. 22” wheels have way to much weight to the rim and rotating mass that they have a strong gyro affect that makes them stable but not super flickable as a 16” wheel.
Impressive riding. Have you tried tuning shocks to be firmer/sportier, high rebound? Just curious if you've experimented with that suspension for different ride feel
Yeah Iv played with it all the way from the low end to high end on compression and rebound. This wheels infinitely tunable its awesome. Other thing I really like is the magnesium side case. This is the first wheel Iv never added armor or fairings or bumpers too. It’s just that tough and robust
Do you think you'll be testing the V. Patten?? Just a correction that the SS and CP have the same 90mm of travel, according to Ewheels comparison page of the two.🙂
Yeah I realize that info was wrong I need to go edit it at least in the video description I was going off info I had gotten from one of the main dealers at the time off memory. I’m hoping to be testing the patton out in June at the z shredfest euc and onewheel race out in California
Great review, thanks. What kind of tire do you prefer offroading? It seems that the CP have a dual use tire (street/dirt mix) is it good enough for offroading ?
Yeah I have the stock “street” tire option it ships with on currently in all of these videos. It does good enough but I do plan on putting a knobby eventually just too lazy to take it apart till I have to
My go to right now is my sherman max, does amazing on trails but feels like an anvil when jumping. I'm keeping my eyes on the begode extreme Ibex as long as they keep the weight down.
I’m 5’10” and rider weight geared up 170lbs. If your heavier you can adjust the suspension as needed really nice part of the fork suspension is it’s much more tunable to each rider specific needs
Lol just buy a Roger charger it comes with all charger ends for every 100v+ wheel and variable amps and variable voltage. A charger is a bad reason to not buy a wheel 🤣🤣🤣 just teasin but yea highly recommend Roger charger
I think it’s fine in light rain 🌧️ extremebull said I could use a hose to clean out mud in my wheel well. Iv also been riding in light rain and a LOT of mud like a LOT. No issues with water ingress. That being said I wouldn’t go ride in a downpour but I wouldn’t do that with any wheel

Where are these proving grounds you take these wheels to?
Central california in the sierra mountains 🏔️
What is your weight and suspension rebound/compression settings on CP?
160lbs and 21x clicks clockwise from fully turned left. And run the firmer setting on big Allen wrench tool
I got the X-Men HT. The torque is great, but the footplates are very low.
Dang first person Iv heard that bought one. The pedals are the same height as an rs19 right?
