I don't know if you are aware of it but Flake wrote two books about his life, his mindset and his part in the band. They're amazing. Not sure if they're available in english too but you should have a look for them.
I remember that song. I think it was after they had first success and were critizised a lot by the press to be faschist. That was also the time when Till started with more singing (in the beginning we often were wordless); in the first time he mostly shouted. I also remember the tour and I have seen them in Freiburg, Germany. They were all dressed in german folkore outfit and that is why Flake did his shoeplattler dance. The song is a play on words of the german word "los" which is often an ending and changes the meaning of the adjective before. Sometime it can be translated at "loose", like we were (let) loose. Most times it turns the adjective into a "without": wort-los means wordless. And so on.
..of all of Rammstein's output and after 30 years there is quite a catalogue of music, I love 99% of it but if you put me on the spot and forced me to pick a favorite, it would be between 'Mutter' and 'Los' with 'los' winning out..
It's not “We were less”. It should be “We were unleashed”. That's because “los” has several meanings.
Ganz genau.

Wir waren los means rather something like We’ve started.

Oh, I've just realised that I played your video a bit too fast (x 1.2 speed) and I realise that RAMMSTEIN's song sounds even better this way! 😂😂😂
