Congratulations on graduating! I too can't bring myself to read the alternate ending, especially after seeing other's reactions to it on FTSTWT haha. Another really good bkdk fic I'd recommend is Vicious by feelslikefire. In which bkdk are assigned to be hero partners, begin a bdsm friends with benefits relationship, and get fake married to take down a m*rder cult. There's also a pretty good podfic reading of just the first chapter by Oriiana if you wanna give that a listen. You can find it under the "other works inspired by this one" section
Or if you are looking for something shorter there are quite a few gems I'd recommend: "Floral Exchange" by ScarlettArbuckle - Deku keeps getting wedding invitations sent by Baku. He ignores them because he doesn't feel like he can take watching the love of his life getting married to someone else. Misunderstandings, hanahaki (rated for general audiences) oneshot "Sink to Swim" by Cinnabee- Bakugou and Deku have been kidnapped and placed in a Saw like situation, having to solve puzzles, trying to protect each other and make it out alive (rated Mature for blood/injury) 6 chapters "Worth a Second Shot" by Cinnabee - Deku gets kidnapped and it's up to Bakugou to rescue him (also rated Mature for blood/injury) oneshot "Sneku" - where a quirk accident turns Deku into a snake and Baku finds him and takes him back to his dorm, not knowing the snake is Deku (rated Teen and Up) (not so much blood/injury but more angst since Deku has no ears and can't really communicate, and there's some complications later on that I'm not gonna spoil) 10 chapters "And It Was Just Right" by Cinnabee - Baku spends 2 years after graduation in an internal/one-sided competition with Deku's promotional image.
