I started with very simple Church songs. So parang dalawa na yung tumutugtog. First, try to master yung pagpluck ng guitar, then try to integrate the melody within the plucking.

From very simple songs I gradually tried to arrange and play more challenging ones. I don’t play fast kasi I have little time to practice, so I usually play slow to moderately fast tunes, pero yung mabibilis, hindi ko pa kaya. I just enjoy what I am able to do.

You need to use your imagination to figure things out. Ok lang kahit magkamalimali. That’s part of the learning. Enjoy the process. Celebrate every little step you take. Allow others to inspire you. Have patience, enjoy every song that you play, even the most simple ones. Play from the heart, play not to impress but to give joy to others.
