I spose it does have some serious barriers to entry. The recommended gear and direction for sending a clip to model from is pretty high end. I have reasonable gear now and could probably scrape enough together to get something usable. I'd probably have to do what you did and use AE to key out my green screen and add a matte. But those specs would lock a lot of non-pros out.
@@sofiadorry What do you mean? can't you see humans will still be needed to write the prompts? 😂 But yeah, it will be as easy for the avg Joe and Jane to create videos, just like doing a Google search nowadays.
@@PremiereGal It will be. "Make a video with certain time length, in the style of certain director, with certain look, heck it's for selling this product, make de script too. etc." That doesn't take a lot of talent.
LOL, imagine you sending the AI Cloners your sign off with your hand - Blow their minds. I recon the tech might be harder to spot on phones than large screens Like I am using when I am watching YT videos. Thanks for the insight! Stay safe, have fun - all you Premier Gal and the 7 clones. 🍻👍😁🤣
Incredible, I'm at work having lunch, watching some Gal and my jaw hit the table. I started the video again because I could not believe it. This will move quickly
I love listening to your instructions, not only because you are so good at explaining things, but also you have a unique vocal timber that is very pleasant. It will take a while for AI to learn how to mimic it.
Meanwhile.... Iam.. trying to use the mogart template as a title but it keeps changing size in every video to a point i have saved a grid lock for aligning size that i have to put on everytime... what's happening?
Hi just discovered your videos which are great and very Informative but your clone is easy to spot in them I see you’ve peppered your videos with it. It’s the hair on the neck that is missing that gives it away.
Very cool video, PG. It's super interesting to see how fast AI tech is moving in this space. Probably a bit pricey for most content creators to use, and a lot of content comes down to editing style and all the other time consuming bits that personalise your content... But that's only one use case I spose. For things like online training like learning development and instructional design this could be really useful to add more polish and personalisation to courses, onboarding and other use cases. Fascinating stuff. Thanks for delivering quality content again, PG. Cheers
This is so wild... I was able to discern between the real Gal and the clone, but it was unquestionably scary that being able to do so took more focus than it would have even just one year ago. I can understand how some creators may be interested in investing in this AI video production technology for the reasons you discussed, but I can't help but worry about how this technology will be used to disseminate disinformation and to mess with people politically. There's no harm done if, say, Hank Green decides to create an AI clone of himself for a few vlogbrother videos or a few TikToks here and there while he takes a break or goes on a trip to do other work elsewhere...but there can certainly be a great deal of harm if, say, someone made an AI video clone of President Biden and made his clone say things that the real President Biden would never say. If this is how good AI technologies like elai and HeyGen are now, it will probably take only one year or less for it to be next to impossible to distinguish AI clones from the real thing.
Yes, as with any technology there are always the wrong hands that can create fear. As with many points in this video, I can see it mainly only coming in handing for dubbing that I didn't say correctly or if I don't have to film again and wear the same outfit, we can just type in text and have me say that one thing real quick -- but certainly not for the whole video!
AI generation is just learning still images this year, expect video coming next year. When not expected it might work, but its many way limited with expression and interaction with stuff yet.
dangit, love it when you review so many times and then on the final review of the final edit, this slips by. well, I wouldn't call it embarrassing, more like frustrating.
@@PremiereGal I usually miss some mistakes after final review&fixing problems. Like I render and: nah bro, this time not gonna watch, pretty sure all alright
Fantastic video Premiere Gal! Much appreciated it. I did extensive experiments with my avatars and reached conclusions similar to yours. The technology is not there yet. I'm concerned about target audience's acceptance if I send them my avatar... The main issue is to create rapport with the audience. But it's interesting to see how the technology will evolve. The idea if filming a presenter one time and create videos forever (just feeding a text to the platform) is tempting for productivity gains (save release time and all video production costs). Thanks.

Bye bye human video editors and human content creators.
In the context of this video, I'd say the opposite. Hello AI creators and hello to editors creating them through text.
@@PremiereGal How is saying hello to AI any different than saying bye to human creators?

@@tonybp It still takes taste and creativity and a good sense of storytelling to make a good video, its not as easy as "make this" done.

The fact this AI boom really kicked off less than a year ago is the scariest part.
Yes, only it is infancy!
Thanks! Nice overview of this [it will be cloned] brave new world.
😂let me make as much money and own as many assets as I can. AI is coming for everything!

Can you do this live for Zoom meetings where your clone is on camera and you speak into the mic? If anyone knows, plz answer 😊

Ya, really super useful to startups trying to build up customer support videos with avatars with a limited budget.
For all that has to be done to create an AI clone, I think it's easier to record yourself, but it's a good option if you're shy.
it is a lot 😅 but the voice clone is at least fairly easy for voice over stuff but it is still not perfect
Tips and tricks. My respects!
what if you start with only an AI gen meta human? and that is all the channel is?

I think the most we would use it is for occasional voice clones when I forgot to say something or I said something wrong :-)
Your the best Kelsey!
Keep giving us the Real Live Gal please.. feature films still have not got CGI looking real in multi-million dollar productions.
Totally, actually filming is the fastest part as I say, but voice cloning could come particularly in handy for my editing team
