The journey began in 2022 at *Aftershock* when *BAND-MAID* and *The Warning* met for the first time and 2 years later a collaboration was born Respect! 😊🤗
Thanks Nikki, for getting to this quickly. Dany's scream gets your attention quick. LOL. Yep, a 'battle', several shorts were posted in the lead up to release, Ale vs Misa, Akane vs Pau, etc, plus a solo short for Miku. Think lyrics are credited to Miku and The Warning. Kanami composed it. Great job , not just writing for 2 bands, but also challenging everyone, including writing it in a higher key than Dany and Saiki usually sing in. The Warning went to Japan a couple months ago for 3 concert, 1 with BM. They went early and finished up this song. Song got played live, with all 8 on stage, but just a 30 sec teaser clip has been officially released so far from that. In an interview, on PRS Guitars Japan, with Kanami and Dany, they said that the bands should get together again in Mexico. Dany also made the challenge to do a song in Spanish.
Was lucky enough to be at their joint concert in Tokyo back in June where they live debuted this song Also caught the premiere of this video too. Nice to get to read the lyrics on this one Really hoping that they release an official live video of this from that concert too! Both Saiki & Dani are world class frontwomen! The Warning brought it that nite. Think Band Maid ratcheted up a notch so as to not be shown up on their home turf! Was an amazing concert!
I was there too! Seeing the respect and love they share was so emotional also, Pau and Akane had a better face off at that show. I hope they release the live version soon.
Hi Nikki, I'm glad you reacted to "Show Them". This video screams "GIRL POWER!" Collabs are notoriously hard to pull off well, but they NAILED IT! Kudo to both bands and the production team for making this work so well. Band-Maid and The Warning are the new "Power Couple" in rock. We Maidiacs and The Warning Army can now join forces and become the "Two Nation Army (Japan and Mexico). Of course, both have legions of fans worldwide, but they bring honor to both countries they represent.
W I N !!!!! W I N !!!⚡🎀 I think we can just say, at their level, Band-Maid and The Warning are equal peers at the very top of the "Rock" pile. I’ve watched “Show Them” 50 times now and still haven’t been able to drop my eyes down to the lyrics.🤘😂 Thx, Nikki! I was just thinking: Band-Maid and The Warning, two very different bands, found something that would bring them together -- music! If only the people of the world could find something that would bring them together. I know... if peace and prosperity isn't enough, how about uniting for the very survival of our species! 🤔
@@TomClark-Futoura I agree you there! I feel like music can bring a lot of people together. If only there was something that could unite everyone the way music or a band does! 💕
This is an exceptional and genre-bending collaboration between two talented bands. That's one of the things I love about it. It doesn't really sound like anything either band would release on their own. IMO People have gotten too hung up on genres and classifications of music. It's like Ale said in an interview "If it's good and you like it and you think it's good that's all that matters". People have been trying to put The Warning in a box for most of their career and they always blow the lid off the box. Great reaction Nikki.
🤘🇲🇽🤘🇯🇵🤘KONNICHIWA, HOLA, Nikki how are you, It really felt like seeing the Avengers for the first time, that's exactly who I felt, but no in a battle sense, those two bands really respect each other, as the Avengers did, because those two bands really know how to team up, I am looking forward to them to continue to share their beautiful music 🇲🇽TW🤘🤘🤘 & BM🇯🇵🤘🤘🤘🤘
When they performed this live in Tokyo, both drummers played most of the song together in synch, except for those breakdown duels. If you do a reaction to TW cover of Atlas Rise, please do the one from the Whisky A GoGo. 😎👍
In the “oops” live version, Pau and Akane trade off several times in sort of a drum duo-solo battle thingy (if that makes any sense). It also appears to me, at least, that Dany and Saiki both are singing just a tish lower in range than they both did live. Dany’s opening wail was more impressive live. I think if BM ever releases the live version that’s it’s even better than the OMV which is par for the course for both bands.
it was mistakenly published to an IG account by someone associated with TW and ripped from there to UA-cam. Several reactors did reactions and received copyright strikes immediately so it disappeared pretty quick. Probably just watch it but don’t react.
@@mjc1389 there were a few copies out there but that is good advice to watch it but don't react to it. I also agree that the live performance was better than the video with a lot more interaction between the bands. Just glad that all the members apparently had a lot of fun doing this. I have seen comments about it sounding more like a The Warning song while others say it sounds more like a Band Maid song. To me that just means that they succeeded in making a good collaboration. Someone who is more familiar with the Warning than I am said that the little bass riff MISA ended the song with was based (see what I did there?) on a riff Ale ended a song with. Just another little touch of friendship and respect.
Yes DANY hitting that high note to get everyone's attention right from the get go,especially after hearing more Dany gritty singing with the 6 latest songs dropped from KMF.This was a good song, like the lyrics and a great video with the battles and playing together. Also loved the outside shots and wonder if the Heliport had to be closed for awile or was that one not used anymore. Most times I watch it have to watch 4 or 5 in a row.And yes I agree with others it should have been longer ,only complaint,🤣.
I enjoyed this song, but I believe that each band can write better songs on their own. Not to take away from the effort that they all put into this collaboration, it could not have been easy. I love that they came together to do this - it’s a rock moment to cherish.
There are no "battles" in art. Thats our American way of making everything a competition, contest, war, etc. IMO that may be where we make our mistakes in the world.
