Thanks Simon. Your rod holder totally saved my fishing rod again last night. I kid you not, a Murray cod would have towed it straight into the river. Haha
WOW Whag an amazing video. So awesome. Is Jake your young bloke? I'm not sure what made me more hungry, the yabbies or the doing of sheep in the background. 🐑🐑🐑
Hey robbiefishing Hey you you watching robbiefishing keep up the good work mate and keep the good content coming mate and keep the good cod and carp and redfin and trout and yabbying and crayfish fishing videos coming mate and stay safe mate and keep ya chin up mate
Hey Robbie 2 yellow belly are better than no yellow belly and aren't those Pardalotes beautiful little birds I've got Spotted Pardalotes near me and they are quite tame in fact over the years I've had many encounters with them and I have been less than a foot away and they aren't worried at all.
Thanks Rod. WOW That is amazing. The Spotted Pardalotes are such beautiful birds. I actually photographed one yesterday, first one that I have seen in a few years. They are soooo tiny!
Hey Robby would you be able to please start making longer videos of yellowbelly fishing? Or I would love a video of going out yabbying or catching shrimp and then go fishing after in the same video I would love them sort of videos and I would love to see longer fishing videos
Hey Coopz thanks so much for the great idea buddy. Generally the length of my videos is determined by the fishing itself. The better the fishing the longer the videos tend to be. As the fishing was a bit slow in this video, it was a bit shorter. I may look into doing exactly what you have suggested soon and combining the bait collecting and the fishing in one video. Thank you so much mate.
Hang on, “Dick bridge” 😂 is this where all the young lads take their first? 😂😂 some lovely examples caught there Robbie and Lauretta’s picture are awesome 👌
Hi mate, some a murky and some are crystal clear, it all depends where you are. As Dan said, the carp dirty up a lot of waterways here which is why we are not allowed to release them if we catch them. New Zealand has the clearest water. We have a few crystal clear streams but only in the mountains where it is really rocky.
@@robbiefishing yes, I know what you mean about the carp, we have the same problem in Canada, in Lake Ontario. There was so many carp here that they had to set up “Carp Dams” to stop them from coming into the bay and breeding. What I would do, if you catch one, throw it into the bushes and let the animals and insects eat them. If you have any wasps there in Australia, the wasps would clean up a fish carcass in less than a day. If everyone that catches a carp threw it in the bushes, you would gradually see the water start to clear up and you would have more game fish breeding in those waterways and flourishing. I bet Peacock Bass, Largemouth Bass and even Northern Pike would do great in Australia, if they were introduced there. Despite being Northern Pike, they like warmer water too. I wish I could live in Australia, I love that country, the animals, the fishing and the ladies😉
Sweet video Robbie. That tree looks like a nice spot to spend fishing under on a hot summers days. Then again, that’s any tree along any river in summer. 👍 Thanks for sharing Love your work
Thanks mate. You're not allowed to camp there, and when I got to where I wanted to fish there were 2 caravans and a camp kitchen set up, a boat on the water, a big arse camp fire and about 10 people. LOL
Nice video mate! Very close to my neck of the woods! I’ve fished around Dip Bridge Rd a fair bit myself, always good for yellas, cod and the odd big mud marlin! Funny story, my mate wasn’t watching his rod for 10mins or so at that spot once and come back to it gone, so of course he jumped in wading around with his feet looking for it for 30mins, he ended up finding it with the massive carp still hooked up! That was near the fish ladder where the Makn Eastern Channel meets up with the creeks.
hahaha That's so funny. I caught an orange carp in that area, it looked more like a goldfish. LOL I'm surprised that with all of the fishing that I do over there I am still yet to catch a cod in Broken Creek.
I found a small creek were i live filled with spangled perch. and the lure i was throwing was bigger then the fish that were in there and they were going absolutely balistic for it!!
G'day there, just wondering if you could possibly do a video or a segment about correct handling of perch and cod? I don't want to hurt the fish by miss handling them but also need to be careful... Macquarie perch have very sharp gills I learnt first hand lol
Thanks ted. haha Most perch do. Yellowbelly and redfin both do too. Thanks for the suggestion, I will keep that in mind. Wetting your hands before handling fish and minimising the time they are out of the water are the two most important things to consider I think.
The ol’ thumb in the mouth is best for perch and small cod, big cod it’s best to use fish grippers, and try hold trout by the body coz they’re gills and mouth are real fragile , hope this helps.
Can’t understand why people fish @at one remove” with rods on holders rather than at least one in hand. I’m too impatient it would do my head in too miss the initial bite and possibly the fish
There's no guarantee that you're going to hook the fish while holding the rod anyway. Sometimes I pick the rod up once the fish bites and I still miss.
@@robbiefishing true, for me the fun is feeling that that touch on the line while holding the rod and figuring out when to strike i get bored sitting around watching rods lol

Carp are the scapegoat for turbidity. It’s typically sedimentation caused by activity such as farming.
