      "Don't remember me with sadness,
      don't remember me with tears,
      Remember all the laughter,
      We've shared through out the years,
      When you are walking down the street
      And you've got me on your mind,
      I'm walking in your footsteps,
      Only a half step behind,
      So please don't be unhappy,
      Just because I'm out of sight,
      Remember that I'm with you,
      Each morning, noon, and night.
      I hope this helps Trevor.

    My old man would take me and my younger brother fishing every chance we got. Fishing for Trout and Redfin in the dams and rivers around our way and then in the Summer months, to the beach chasing, Taylor, Herring, Sand Whiting, and the occasional K.G when we could grab them. Those were the truly happy days of my life and I miss the old bugger a great deal, but even though he's been gone for more than 13yrs now, his lessons still remain and both my brother and I still love to fish and have handed that down to our kids.

    • @robbiefishing

      Hey mate I am so sorry for your loss. I consider myself to be very lucky as I still have both of my parents and they're both still very healthy. Many of my friends have either lost 1 or both. That is fantastic that you have handed it down to your kids. My brother does not like fishing, we never fished together once. LOL He was a great sportsman and achieved so much in cricket and football.... an area that I was absolutely terrible at. LOL

    Why don’t they spawn there Robbie?

    • @robbiefishing
      @robbiefishing  3 роки тому

      Hi mate, it is very rare for cod and yellowbelly to spawn in lakes as they need flowing water for the babies to survive. They will still get eggs, build a nest and protect it etc... but without the flowing water delivering tiny microorganisms for the fry to eat, once they finish feeding on their egg sacks they usually die. Which makes me wonder why there is a closed Murray cod season in lakes. We can fish for trout in lakes because they don't spawn in lakes but we can't fish for cod in lakes during the closed season.
