Ok for those who don't understand... This is the real perfect trance, just trance. This progression and build-up the song has together with the dancing puts you step by step into a trance-like state. This is what we call trance, it supposed to be that way.
I truly consider Simon Posford a true artist, like Picasso. Unfortunately not many will get the true understanding of his music, his perfect works of art. His music is like a string, which holds huge amounts of a variety of sounds, which he managed to put in his music back when no FL Studio, or for that matter any modern music application was available. His music just pulsates with meaning, and this certain feeling, which I personally cannot describe. Not even talking about Shpongle. Shpongle is another complete universe which we can luckily access by hearing it. Just, wow...

he spawned a global phenomenon.... i was lucky enough to have been there in the 90"s in my teens and his music destroyed everything out there...i mean everything...it was in fact ,scary to some party goers...absolutely diabolical....and beautiful at the same time.
This whole album is very well put together. One of my all time faves. Simon is definitely a genius!

I remember seeing Hallucinogen in the early 2000s at a night called Tribe of Frog in Bristol. I drank 9 pints and a bottle of that cheap petrol station vodka but didn't feel drunk because I sweated so much dancing for 9 hours straight. Sweat was condensing on the ceiling and dripping back down on us as we danced. Every now and then someone would open the window at the back and air would get sucked out like a turbine. My roommate at the time was tripping and saw me as an American Indian chief dancing a war dance and kept doing the 'Awoo woo woo' thing at me with his hand. One of the best nights of my life 👌

This is the absolute bollox. My mates and I used to do a bit of a thing at parties, pubs, gigs spinning mental tunes as loud as we could physically get away with. And Simon's first two albums were always on. Plus anything on Tip or Platypus. Awesome tunes for awesome times. Still does it 100% ❤

I was 17 years old, have the album, listen to it every time (so much memories on this, going to club). In my opinion, the best trance album ever. I keep listen often today. Orphic trench still my fav'.
