When I started driving for Postmates about 3 years ago, they had a lot of these promotions. Back then the app told you that you are to pay for it and Postmates would deduct it on their end. These days it seems to be Postmates mode of operation is to leave drivers hanging in the wind.

I figured it out back when they were offering two free tacos with every Jack In The Box order. Luckily, the staff at the one I frequently deliver from are familiar with me and pretty friendly. When I told the manager about it he said "Oh that sounds like they just refund the customer for the price of the tacos."
So frustrating. I’ve had to cancel orders in the past because places have no clue about free items and I didn’t want to pay for it for the customer to get screwed or support tell me I did it wrong. This was good to know guess this is how I’ll do it from now on. Seriously though they can’t include a 2 sentence instruction on the support page for things like this? They leave us to just guess
That was my frustration.
I hate when the merchant dont know a dam thing about postmates or how to use modern day technology i swear. I get a order and go to the store and mfas be disrespectful acting like they dont know how to place a postmate order im like JUST SWIPE THE EFFIN CARD i argued with 2 merchants told the pl cancel im not cancelling after the disrespect i just went through next time im filming it
Haha I thought it was free food for the fleet driver.. not the customer.
Alan L well it’s not like Postmates tells you the difference so I could see that happening.
