- Welcome to my Satisfactory videos.
Today: The second timelapse of my first factory.
- I spend 120 hours building this factory.
- These videos come from my savegame, in which I invested a total of 400+ hours, my friend @VCaesar has over 200+ hours and a few other friends were also active.
- These are 10-hour steps.
- Yeah, it´s a view from above, so you cannot see height differences. Max. height: 840m

I am fully convinced that the Factorio community is a hive mind dedicated to expanding the factory and maximizing effeciency

@@DepressedCrow Factoria is 2D and top-down view. Of course that´s true for this video aswell but Satisfactory itself is 3D and first-person ;D

Well, they are different games, and I'd assume the core communities are also very different. There definitely would be a big overlap, but I really wouldn't say they're the same.

@@zcaesar4102 This was very cool. Why didn't you progress on the Grid-System, you established first?
@@marcus_w0 Performance. It was high in the air, so it was being rendered all the time. These were around 20.000 platforms. But I think it´s a cool idea, so we might reintroduce it in some other way in the future.

Currently on to having a fully uncovered map, but paradise island is just such a pain to explore (get it?), any tips on how to get that job done easier?
Yeah, after a while it really gets frustrating. The new update (Update 6) changes a few things, so the radar towers should be more effective. Otherwise just unlock the map through the save game editor (link in the desc). Upload your save game, unlock map in the settings and download it. Works perfectly fine ( That´s how I did it). Or just spend countless hours on exploring. Prob also makes fun, this game is quite beautiful.
Paradise island is going to be deleted. However you can make use of hypertube cannon + n@ked Pioneer and launch yourself all over the map to remove Fogs
@@Koh-Wei-Jian Fun fact, paradise island won't be deleted (confirmed in latest css video), however wont be getting updates either

You beat the game with almost no hand crafting?
How do you show belts and buildings on the map? Mod?
It´s not the ingame-map. I used the Satisfactory Calulator, the link is in the description!
What are the wide black lines?
Me friend had the idea to collect all ores of the island and transport them on a flying platform. Probably 500m above the normal ground. We removed them later on because of the lags. The were of course visible from all around the island.
What are those colors exactly? blues are the belts? blacks are the road, concrete or something?
Blue are the power lines. The dark stuff are all the foundations. Pink is the belts and orange is pipes i think. Yellow is miner and water pumps. Bright yellow is the hypertube (in the middle). Green (top right) are the nuclear power plants. Did I miss anything important?

The real question is how did you get the map that early?
At some point, we build a huge hypertube cannon. We sent someone flying over the map and that unlocked quite much. We also used the radar stuff a little bit. Since my friend began building in the dessert, he just explored the rest.
@@zcaesar4102 I think they ment how did you UNLOCK the map that early, not how did you explore the map. Cool vid though💪

*twitches* why isn't the grid covering the whole world or at the very least finished
It was an idea to bring all ores to the factory. Height: 600 meters. In the meantime it has been removed because the elevator costs would have been too high

@@chaosakazero These were 20.000 foundations. They all had to be rendered the whole time. The perfomance is much better now. Even tho we have no grid anymore :C
@@zcaesar4102 the game now has a global grid function for building.
@@Gunth0r Yeah I know but I acutally do not use it. But I think it could be quite helpful for people who start from the beginning

Many foundations combined into a kind of road that is about 600 meters above the map

@@zcaesar4102 That's what I was thinking. No way to make them that straight unless it was a sky bridge.
