  • Hi friends
Hope everyone is safe and healthy. It’s been 6 months since I left my job as a lecturer. To be honest I thought I’d be really dreadful because I won’t get to see my students and share my knowledge with them. To my pleasant surprise I coped rather well, in fact I’m more occupied than ever. I’m glad that I’m still sharing my knowledge in a more entertaining way, thanks to UA-cam I managed to introduce food to you people. Also your support and encouragement has spurred me to do better. Although it would be more rewarding to make videos in a better environment but God willing this pandemic will be over soon. Please stay safe and support our local street food. Thanks.

For Hong Kong Chee Cheong fun, I always liked the New Seaview restaurant in Paramount Garden for its smoothness, chili & soy sauce used. Sadly, it has now been taken over by someone else a few yrs back. Another which is well known is in Seri Petaling, but thats in KL district :)

Another great post with a history lesson. My first emphasis is on the sauce. If base on chee cheong fun alone, I do not like those with thick skin and a some ingredient inside, furthermore it is cold. I really don't fancy cold chee cheong fun, it has to be hot.

Hello Uncle Elmo, always happy to watch your new post. This one is particularly close to my heart cos I used to eat CCF on a regular basis back in the early 80's when i was a kid.
While tooting his bike horn fr time to time, the seller would drive thru back lanes and stop whenever there're customers. The taste and quality is nothing like most CCF nowadays. The taste & smell of foo chook, meat and fish balls were unforgettable. Unfortunately, rumors has it that the uncle died from AIDS (yikes !)
