Fire crews respond to reports of a fire in a home on Selkirk ave

Structure Fire:
Shortly after 5:30 pm Saturday evening Winnipeg fire paramedics got reports of a fire in a 2 story multi family residence in the 300 block of Selkirk ave:
Crews arrived and encountered smoke coming from the building. Crews launched a offensive attack and the fire was declared under control a hour later.
Crews completed a search of the structure and no occupants were found.
One firefighter was injured on scene. They were assessed by on-scene paramedics and transported to hospital in stable condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
