- Of these transactions, about 75% (that is, 1,774 transactions) were shipped from Hong Kong or mainland China, many by small to medium-sized companies, some of which were established after Russia's invasion of Ukraine. These transactions amounted to $570 million, showing a tenfold increase in U.S. chip exports to Russia from Hong Kong and China compared to the period before the conflict began.
Data from the Washington-based non-profit Silverado Policy Accelerator indicates that from March to December 2022, nearly 90% of the global chip exports to Russia came from mainland China and Hong Kong.

No, Russia was never on our level in military or any other technologies! Neither is China.
Very little of Chinese equipment going to Russia is for consumer usage. You only need to look into the eventual product destination and usage to know that more than 90% of the business transactions are going to areas close to or inside of Ukraine.

Russia is in a business of selling military equipment and not buying it. Especially from China, which is far behind in its military technology from Russia and with zero experience of using it in a real combat zone. It is China who is buying stuff from Russia and not the other way around, my friend.
