    Nečas speaks with such typical Czech hockey player dialect. He has none of the accent of his home region and he sounds exactly like the hockey kid from my town that I lectured maths in high school. Other side of the country. Almost all of the national league player interviews sound like that as well. Mouth slightly open, entire long sentences done in one long exhale, words sort of slurred and pauses replaced by the neutral "aaaaah" sound. If someone talks this way, you ask them what team they play for.

      @ReinhardP 2 роки тому +3

      There is no "normal" German. It's different dialects all over the German speaking areas. I grant you though, that for most German speakers Swiss German (which in itself consists of a various dialects) harder to understand.

    • @ReinhardP
      @ReinhardP 2 роки тому

      @@rudde7918We're getting rather specific here. High German has two meanings: when referenced to writing it relates to the spelling and vocabulary of the German language. There three kinds of High German in this definition: Federal German, Austrian and Swiss High German.
      When referenced to speaking High German: High German is spoken south of the "Benrath line", which roughly runs through Posen, Berlin, Magdeburg, Kassel, Cologne and Aachen. So, the Swiss dialects are part of the High German group, which shows the big variety of how German is spoken in these region below the Beneath line.
      I think I'd be more accurate to cut down further a level where the spoken High German is roughly divided into East and West Central German, East and West Frankonian, Allemannic (that's where the Swiss dialects are located) and Bavarian.
      So to summise and give an opinion: German dialects have a large variety, whereas some dialects are "closer" to the written language than others. I'd say that no German speaker actually speaks the language as strictly as it is written (and in comparison to English, it is rather easy to pronounce German word correctly when reading them).
      PS: Well, this answer got out of hand a little bit.
