I actually cried while listening to this. I just broke up with my girlfriend a few months ago and my family has been saying "I told you so" and I should've never got together with a girl. Correct me if I’m wrong/ in case someone needs an explanation :) Story is that she breaks into her and her ex gf’s old house in which her ex gf and the new bf live. She reminisces on the times she spent in the house with her gf while finding her ex gf’s stuff like perfume and lipstick and trying it on bc she misses her. In heartbreak, she also messes up the place, paints over her ex gf’s painting, and throws away the new bf’s stuff. I listened to this song for the first time in a while just now and god the amount of nostalgia that rushed over me was indescribable. I have a really bad memory, so while I don't actually associate this song with any particular memories, but I guess being reminded of 3 years ago still has an impact on my mind. It gave me chills. The ex gf knows it was her bc of the bf’s face being painted over in the picture but she’s already gone and moving on.

Besides that, the entire video is filmed to make the viewer think she is getting rid of the mans stuff for whatever reason. Yet, at the end they twist the story line and you get the scenes in which she is smiling while smelling the females perfume, the picture is scratched, the other girl is looking concerned like she knows what's going on. I MEAN, just my thoughts. I could be off by a mile.
