@ 00:3 I heard her saying: "It WASN'T dark inside the wolf.
The subtitles here say: "It WAS dark inside the wolf".
I find what I had heard very interesting and what the subs say...not so.
@@santsuma you heard wrong, my friend.
@@santsuma@santsuma, you heard wrong, but even if you didn't, that is literally the point of creative writing. You can come from different angles.
I'm so glad I had this add, this is the only one I didn't skip.
She looks really Interesting
I as well. I want to take her class so bad just for fun.
Haha yess! (it's ad by the way)
Same! This actually inspired me to start writing.
''It was dark inside the wolf'' Will never forget it
What I heard: "It WASN'T dark inside the wolf", which makes more sense.
This granny is best character as a wise old storyteller of town who teaches people through stories
I want to be Margaret Atwood when i grow up
It’s not even the phrase “It was dark inside the wolf.” It was the way she SAID it… 👌
Huh
What I heard her say: "It WASN'T dark inside the wolf", which makes more sense.
Margaret Atwood is incredibly talented. This is more of an educational briefing than an advertisement. I learned so much in only 2 minutes.
“The waste basket is your friend, it was invented for YOU… by God” ❤🎉
Gurl, did you just solve crippling Perfectionism in one sentence?
I think you diiiiid! 😊 💫
Well said!!! Anyone who knows KNOWS..Its one thing to articulate words..its definitely a different level articulating emotion....God vudeo
Beautiful
I always said there's a time to write, and there's time to not, my minute is Dad if you're going to ride you focus just like she said it's just you and it page. When you are not writing it's not you and the page. When you writing your story it's you in the page if you have an idea or get inspired write it down in notepad just like David said your nuke binder. Take it from a guy who doubts sometimes and struggles with his writing.
This brain hack works to efortlessly eliminate writer's procrastination for both fiction or non-fiction: Simply erase part of the last sentence you've written for that day. Your mind is hardwired to be working on it, so that you "can't wait" for the earliest time to get back to writing some more. Do this every time. If your last sentence is so golden you don't want to erase it, write another line and erase part of it.
If you're stuck and haven't written in a while, go back to where you left off and erase part of the last sentence you wrote.
Your last sentence might change almost every time. Who cares because you're on your way!
IOW, you've just conquered the biggest challenge to writing for most writers and done it effortlessly.

The Madaddam series was so underrated
"Hold. My. Attention."
So sad that u need a credit card for this, cuz i dont have one yet :)
I'm crying, I felt like she was talking to me and just me
no, she was talking to me
@@ahgaseforever9170 lol
Of course not, She was talking to others
She was
As did I.
It was dark inside the wolf
Me: suddenly wanting to read everything from her
Same it was funny and grabs our attention.
right?? the way she says it u feel like ooooh what did she write about and when can I get those books in my collection
I think it's an awful start.
Right?! I wanted her to finish, it sounded great and sinister!
@@myfredo898 How? Just curious
"It was dark inside the wolf"
F***, I felt that one
Me too bro me too I needed that writing advice like dude maybe I just need to look at my story from another perspective to get some answers
Same.
I heard "it WASN'T dark inside the wolf", which makes a lot more sense!
@@santsuma why?
@@afj810 ... Creative writing... Being dark is kind of obvious and it just means you won't see anything. But if it WASN´T dark... it triggers your imagination in so many ways...
Best masterclass so far! It's not just about her very practical teaching, it also about the fact that I couldn't help smiling and laughing throughout the lessons. I haven't enjoyed listening to an instructor like I did listening to her in a very loooong time.
I started with Neil Gaiman, looking forward to go through Margaret's lessons! 🥰❤️
Hey, are masterclass sessions worth the money?
I laughed and smiled too. So brilliant.
This is how you make an ad. I've never skipped a Masterclass ad no matter how far I am from the subject. They're so whimsical.
one of the few masterclass ads i had to open out in another window
To give a thumbs down and figure out how to block it.
A brilliant woman. We’re all the way down here, and she is all the way up there.
👏🏼
I keep rewatching this she is so epic
bro i've seen so many masterclass ads but this one,,, THIS ONE gets my attention REAL FAST REAL GOOD
This was the first series in MasterClass I streamed, and it's so worth it. In her masterclass, Margaret Atwood imparts substantial nuggets of wisdom about creative writing, and each lesson is therapeutic to listen to. The workbook is also a work of art, and I enjoyed reading it after every class.
Whether it's a novel or screenplay, holding your reader's attention is definitely key.
Me: *gets to know about her just a 2 minutes ago*
Also me: I want to meet this person in real life
Since I watched this video, I felt inspired to start writing thoughts, feelings, vivid dreams I have had. I keep rewatching this video. Truly invigorating.
_It was dark inside the wolf_
2 million views and only 12 comments?
Ad placements before videos may be counted as views -- and that would explain why this has so few comments.
For what it's worth, this Master Class is worth it -- makes you feel like you're sitting at home having a personal conversation on her life, writing process and work.
Probably a bunch of feminist ideologues praising one of their patron saints. I want to find out how to block this video, then go back to making hundreds of dollars a month writing intense erotica featuring masculine dominance. Whether that dominance is dominating females or effeminate males, it doesn't matter. Masculine dominance is natural and beautiful.
this lady owns the audience when she says and This is my masterclass
This helped me so much. Just a few sentences and what a difference. It`s like Margaret speaks right to me and answers all my questions. When I will be a brilliant writer I will mention her as one of my inspirations. Thank you.
This lady seems remarkable. Wish she had been my english teacher.
I can't be the only one who is scared by her smile
i would cast her in a second in a Saw type movie! All she wants is for her students to learn... or else.
She seems deeply unpleasant.
Why does she looks like the way you would think how little red riding hood would look when she grow up.
Start with the intent to manipulate impressionable young women.
I'm sorry masterclass, but these new editting made the ads less interesting.
teacher Margaret full of awesomeness
her writing is about everyday and everybody....she tantalizes the readers sensorial tastebuds with nothing but words that have nothing to do with fantasy or deep speculation....as she says everything has happened in some point of time
The best teacher ever, loved her masterclass so much
This ad held my attention - brilliantly done.
Ms. Silvers?
Maybe “hold my attention” has been a bit misunderstood. It’s not a call for the reader to be alert and on the edge of his/hers seat all the time in my opinion. It’s more like “stay for the ride” or something. There are dreamy and mysterious scenes without much tension that make you hold on. There are things that make you reflect and ponder outside the story and come back with new insights. I think writing shouldn’t be so tied rules as structure. The more one studies and learns about the “right way to write” the more contrived and superficial the writing gets. Nobody has ruined screen writing like Sid Field or the “heroes journey” fad. It has generally turned stories into canned food that all tastes the same. At least it feels that way to me.
Hold my attention, absolutely, but there are a million ways to do that. Quiet or loud.
0:06 her smile was Scary MaN..!!😰😳😱
SHE SMILED LIKE A WITCH😳
*me trying to listen some nice music*
(Randomly)This ad:LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD
Yeah it's obnoxious.
Gosh! I love her! She´s the reason I started with masterclass!

this should have way more likes-
No it shouldn't.
We Britons should make our own Masterclass channel, with SIR Michael Morpurgo, Anne Fine OBE, and DAME Jacqueline Wilson creating a masterclass on writing fiction. DAME Patricia Routledge and Martin Jarvis OBE leading masterclasses in acting/performing.
Boa tarde!
I just feel in love 🍅
"I didn't make them up."
I like how she laughs as if she's sniffing. She's so wholesome. 😂😂😂
I like your storytelling! once people learn the foundation writing skills they should definetly take your course
Her words felt like life lessons & wisdom philosophy. Oh well, life's an adventure story after all 🤫
This was so inspiring. I'm currently working on my fiction sample to send to Brown University. My first sentence is "My first word was “Lightning”. I am very sensitive to sounds. My favorite hobby is shooting."
Wow, that seems really interesting! I would love to read your book. Tell me how it went!
Madam, I want to join your incredible master class on creative writing and more.....please do help me join you. Thanks
I just came across this clip. The moment I watched it, I wanted to contact her right away. Very inspiring.
Love her writing, glad to saw her here ❤
Where can I find a playlist of just this music for a few hours?
I MUST follow her! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this clip! LOL
