The school no longer uses the library??? I think my heart broke hearing that! We are a book loving family, too. My kids favorite places through our military travels were checking out all the libraries near us so they could pick their favorite for weekly visits. Every new school their first question was always "where is the library?" I can't imagine a school without a library, how sad!

We are currently doing school at the kitchen table with one 4 ft wall to stuff everything close by. I can’t wait until we get into a bigger house so I can make a homeschool room!
As I have said before...a school room for every elementary teacher to die for. I love the new desks and chairs especially the price. When the video first started I saw the blue library cart right off the bat and thought how great is that for all the books. And then later to see you had two more and got all 3 for $20 is just amazing. You are a born teacher as well as organizer. Best of luck in the coming school year. Have a Blessed day. thank you , Margaret! I feel like I saved those book carts! They had previously threw a dozen of them into the dumpster. Ugh. Heartbreaking. They found these 3 for me! Now they have found a happy home with us. haha I will put them to good use for years to come, thats for sure!
@@TheKneadyHomesteader Isn't it sad they didn't take the time to find new homes for the carts. Even if they had put them out to the street for people to pick up rather than going to a land fill. One of our Universities here in Richmond has started a free students store. All of the stuff that is left behind when the students go home on summer break gets put in the students store. They have microwaves, toasters. all manner of dishes and silverware as well as rugs, pillows, book cases etc. The students coming in for the new school year can then go and get stuff they need for their dorm rooms for free. Even the little refrigerators.. What a great vision someone had. Hope other universities take up a project like this. Your new carts will definitely have a happy home for sure...love the paint job you gave them too.

That's one serious class environment. When you announce its 'school time,' ...it LOOKS 'school time!' No distractions of everyday life. But what FUN they must have with all the shapes and colors and games, etc. Wow! When I went to school we had a black board & chalk, and two tiny pouches of number tiles, and letter tiles....and of course, books. BOOKS! That high school didn't utilize their LIBRARY!!!? Are you kidding me? How wonderful you are now blessed with the desks/chairs/carts for about $25! PRAISE GOD! You are really giving your littles a fantastic foundation for the rest of their life! Heather, stand up and take a bow! APPLAUSE, APPLAUSE! : )
I am so incredibly blessed to be able to create a fun and inspiring space for my kiddos. ❤️ I don’t take a single day for granted that I have with them. It’s been so humbling to be able to witness them grow and learn and expand. We have a lot of fun in this room. 🥰

That is fantastic!!!!! Thats how we do it too! We got rid of a lit of our younger stuff last year. Learning colors and shapes and all the basics. I cried. My kids just give me hugs and cheer me on. 😆 i have a 6th grader and a 2nd-3rd grader. Mina devours learning. She loves it. This year she is in Gymnastics Level 3 and just started taking Cheer. She wants to try out for competitive cheer squad next year. It’s crazy to realize she is now Mason’s age when we had our tragic car crash. Time is flying by. Both kids plan on 4H this year too. And their in youth group at church. It’s going to be a full plate year for us. 😆👏🏻 Thank you Lord! I pray your homeschool year is an absolute blast!!!!! Way to go Mama!!!!🙌🏻❤️🍎

I work at a high school. This looks better than ANY of our rooms. We have 2,500 kids. Our school is so run down. But, the Administration gets over 100k and full pension with lifetime medical, so don’t worry.

I have a senior this year in public, and a 7 and 4 yr old who homeschool. 6 kids plus 2 bonus kiddos (step kids). I will definitely make a homeschool video....maybe a couple of them. Amazing, We have recently moved out of our homeschool room because a new addition will be here in a month. To the dining room we go! But I feel that if you have the space it can be helpful to see how you organize and make use of your schoolroom :)
