My eyes and brain have not adjusted to watching OU players make open field tackles. I'm still surprised every time they don't slide off the ball carrier. Pleasantly surprised to no longer see 3 yard losses turn into 12 yard gains.
Yep, 14 of the 20 points were on busted coverages and guys going for the pick instead of a routine tackle. After those 20 points, they shut them down for the rest of the game. Loved seeing that!
20 points in the first half. Not great. 0 points and less than 100 yards in the second half. Insane. Defense adjustments have been key this year glad to see we have greatly improved on that. Dillon Gabriel and the offense are playing great. 5-0 record and 5-0 against the spread. Took care of business and now it’s on to Red River just like we should be. Not sure who wins next week but I do know we will put up a big fight regardless. Brent Venables now with a winning record at OU as HC let’s keep the ball rolling all the way to Arlington and our last Big 12 title game.
love what i see from the secondary. safeties seems to struggle in the first half but allowing less than 100 yards in the 2nd half is nothing short of dominance. Peyton Bowen and Gentry Williams are the TRUTH
LOL the announcer said Trace Ford was having flashbacks of playing for Oklahoma State when he didn't hold on to that ball on the blocked punt that's messed up!
Just don't want to see Texas jump out to big lead with busted plays on by the defense. If OU is going to beat Texas need to clean that up. D line gets pressure on Ewers he will throw picks this is the best defensive backfield Texas will see all season. Oklahoma is ready.
Our Free Rushers need to attack the QBs outside shoulder instead of inside idk hoe many times this year a free guy streaking to the QB takes an inside angle and the QB just sidesteps and there is noone outside , force them to sidestep inside towards the Lineman if we can do that our sacks will jump up
Shouldn’t be too hard, considering the only reason ISU got off to a “hot start” was because our safeties were trying to get interceptions when they weren’t at the right angles to do so. If they play the man instead of going for interceptions it’s either a catch for a medium gain or broken up. Brent probably got onto them about that and they played much better, gotta keep that mentality for Saturday.
After re watching with slowed down speed on certain plays our O-line is decent at pass blocking but get blown off the ball in run blocking like every play even the good gains they are pushed back in the middle don't think their is a fix for it this year we can't go into the Texas game thinking we can run run run its not going to work need to attack the secondary early and often
ISU has been a pretty annoying thorn in our spine for a while, this was a nice beatdown to see. Oklahoma is looking like its restoring its strength rather quickly.
@@chrisstandingbear1947you know, this comment actually got me sad, bittersweet moment indeed realizing this is the last time we are playing this team for who knows how long. ISU is nothing special to me but the feeling just hit me about all Big 12 teams we will no longer be playing on a regular basis. Kinda a weird feeling.
This was a ok game but not a good game let me explain secondary start off ok but then got shaky then good again what we need is good for 4qtrs offense could be better more explosive playsstill needs to get stonger involved he big piece to use in the RedZone now back to defense the run defense was horrible needs work asap this week going up against a running team in Texas the pass was ok but could be way better this week B+
Reason I loved this game is yes we struggled a little at the beginning, but Defense made adjustments and got the job done. The key takeaway is the adjustments part. We have not seen an OU team make necessary adjustments that turns a close game into a blowout in quite some time. This is why this game was special.
I love Stogner but he’s just not the same as he used to be. I think a lot of it has to do with injuries he’s had in the past. We need to get Blake Smith more involved
@@kaidenpatel5087 good win by ou but definitely wasn’t Texas best ball we beat ourselves if you wanna be honest turnover in the red zone and all those penalties
What I'm liking now is seeing DG run with some toughness. He absolutely TRUCKED that linebacker on his first TD run.
He's a stud. A lot tougher than Ewers.

Loved how they rebounded after the early defensive burns and clamped down so ready for texas
Yeah that’s not something this program was able to do in the past decade
@houseontherock8345 definitely they'd give up 300 yards passing and 30 points to everybody

def think we tried to jump those two TD routes after the early pick6 but yes insanely sound D after the fact

I missed it yesterday, thank you so much for videos!
You’re my hero Mr.Macintosh
Good things for us fans when there are Mr. Macintosh's highlights!
ISU defense haven’t been shredded like that in a long time. That’s a lot better defense than what they showed versus OU.
Mr. Mac droppin another great video ❤
"he's having flashbacks to playing for Oklahoma State right there" ☠
4:00 We definitely need to see more of BRENAN THOMPSON.
Little worried in the first half, then we made adjustments and everything was good! the Cyclones seem to have a good qb for the future
Great stuff. Beat TexASS!
7:52 She marked him a yard short. Marking him where he went down, and not where his foreward progress was stopped.
What a response by OU! Iowa State got within a point, and OU outscored 'em 29-0.
LOL the announcer said Trace Ford was having flashbacks of playing for Oklahoma State when he didn't hold on to that ball on the blocked punt that's messed up!
Gabe had a lot of swagger in this game, we'll need that against Texas. Win the turnovers and we'll win the game.
Boomer Sooner!!
Feels good to be a winner
Watching this thinking the Sooners are about to surprise a lot of people in the SEC. LETS DO THIS
I enjoy watching football like this. From what I’ve heard the commercials have gotten out of hand this season.
Yes they have.

Dammit... i was on my way to work and missed the long run Tawee had that got called back. I was hoping you had it on here
We can’t let a team like TX get a hot start like ISU.

I request you let the highlight play just a few seconds longer so we can hear who made the play. It is really disjointed to hear " Great play by ...."
3:00 "NIC SIX!!!!!!!!!!!"
9:19 Gibson is off balance and STILL manages to fight his way into the end zone!!!!!!

Yes, a good way to end our relationship with them. Might not ever play them again.
I'm just hoping for a V next Saturday so Texas fans will shut up for the rest of the season.
