Hey, I don't catch that many of your videos, but your jamming to the amp is really inspiring and I think I'm gona try an alternative tuning. You sound so clean and listening to you is just fun. Thanks!
This amp is particularily dialed in normal amp lingo terminology dosent do a justice sounds precise love victory amps one day man i hope i can get one cheers jeff!!!
finally another video on this amp. I'm amazed not that many people have made a demo/review. anyway, it's such an awesome amp. it's thick and full and yet it's very well defined.
Damn son, the Tao looks amazing. I wasn't sold on some of the stock photos but that purple is incredible against a dark background. Those pickups Schecter cooked up for you are really something as well!
Mr Browne, I don't think there is an amp that you couldn't make sound good. I use the Victory Kraken modelled amp on my Quad Cortex and it sounds pretty much bang on with the real amp. Definitely needs a noise gate on it though, channel 2 is very noisy.
Since monuments is making a new album, I wonder how many of these riffs are gonna be on the album? Before In Stasis was released he teased a couple of riffs on some videos.
Daum that your guitar is soo spanky in pushed cleans territory. Fucking love my Tao-6 that you played in Rochester! Keep the vids coming my guy. 🔥 The Victory amp is a little beast too. Like the updates.
What are your thoughts of this amp vs the EVH 5150 50 watt? I ownes one EVH and I loved it but I want to try something different. Can the kraken mkii hang?
I moved my studio into my second room because it’s easier to keep at a decent temperature. Other room was enormous and difficult to be warm in the winter months
Thanks heaps for the video, I am a bit of a noob when it comes to this sort of stuff but from what I can see you have your Victory amp connected through to your Monitors (PC). How do you do this? I was looking for the signal chain but couldnt see where to find it.
I sold my MK1 because of the noisy gain 2 when the gain was at 12 O clock or higher, it's unfortunate because if sounded great but the noise was really annoying. That and the missing presence knobs were the two reasons. Perhaps it's noisy on gain 2 even on MK2 because of the small size of the amp, all components are really close to each other, anyway sounds great and I love your videos and playing :)
@@JohnBrownemonuments ahhh ok, I thought I saw a vid where u did. I’d love to hear what you think of it. And it’s got a lot of built in features that are killer. You get around to trying that amp I’d love to see you do a vid on it. Trust alot of your opinion
Sounds great. It's too bad that Rabea didn't model his Kraken amp to sound this good in his signature Neural Plugin. In the plugin, it doesn't get nearly as tight/modern as the amp is clearly capable of getting.
@@JohnBrownemonuments aaah, i see! as an aside, i'd be really interested to see you demo a mode 4 if you could borrow hotpole's one? there really aren't many videos on that amp at all

Dude. These are high gain amps. Stop with the clean channel stuff. Nobody cares about the clean channel stuff. People who care about clean channel stuff buy fenders.
I just ordered one of these and this was the vid that sealed the deal for me. That gain 2 channel is pure monstrosity.
I'm torn between this and the evh stealth

@JasonsDigitalStuff thanks man! I actually got a mesa boogie badlander but I'm still considering the kralen II
I could listen to your amp testing videos in loop. Your Demos are by far the best 🔥
Hello to my favorite musician. Good to see you again Browne , can't wait to receive my Tao in a few weeks, good job designing it.
I think the mic combo on the cab sounds killer! You should release an IR of that blend together!
Man, such a great demo ! I particularly appreciate the complex chords that demonstrate how articulate this amp is, unbelievable !
Glad you liked it!
@@JohnBrownemonuments" like it " holy shit man , it s way more than just likeing it , i reepat that aprt from 8 20 for hours . it is so beautiful.
Hi John, I saw you and Monuments last year in Phoenix, loved you all. I just had my Kraken delivered last week and love it!
10:40 thank you for the cab/ mic info!
sounds great having a phenomenal guitarist play your product doesnt hurt either
At 2:02 "let's start with all controls at noon" Proceeds to show the amp with none of the controls at noon. Love it :D
Haha yeh I did also notice that but I usually do start at noon and get there fairly quickly after when I realise :D
Victory makes AMAZING amps! And the kraken is definitely my favorite of the bunch because well, metal 🤘
I love the boosted clean channel sounds, it's so tight!
Yeh sounds exceptional on chords aye

You are John Browne and I’m just enjoying the man doing his thing!!
I'm so addicted to the melody from 6:55 - 6:58
Didn’t even pick up on that until you mentioned. Just noodling generally haha

I love these super comprehensive demos. Thanks John! 🔥✨
Can't wait to finally see you with Monuments at Grasspop Metal Meeting! 🤘
You are a Riff Monster! I like it watching you playing 🔥
I love watching one of my guitar gods reviewing amps! Outstanding tone, Sir!
As much as I enjoy your heavy rhythm, your clean playing is phenomenal. Hope you record some tracks in that style.
Now someone needs to give a signature series called the Browne note.
I love the way this amp sounds, but I feel like you make everything sound fucking awesome. haha
Damn son, the Tao looks amazing. I wasn't sold on some of the stock photos but that purple is incredible against a dark background. Those pickups Schecter cooked up for you are really something as well!
i'd love a video where you talk about the Tao; why you made certain design decisions :)
Very underated amp with super smash the doors down chug

I have the mk1. Absolutely true. Personally I think the gain 1 on it just needs a boost, and it sounds wrathful… so crunchy and angry
"The hughes n kettner that has a clean channel that makes you feel like youve been kicked in the face" id love to try that clean tone. 😂
Sounds amazingly badass especially with your style of playing. Really nice. Thanks for sharing.
wow. tight sound and good gain. nice demo!

She sounds great 👍🏻 awesome playing as always John....good to see you bro 😎👊🏻 🎸🎸🎸
Came here for the amp review, stayed for the sick jams. Man that makes me motivated, but damn do I suck a this lol!
Join the club bro. It’s Browne’s world, we all just live in it.
Man, i always enjoy listening to your riffs!
Glad you like them! Thanks mate
Always want to write some clever comment. But in the end, I just sit here, watching the killer riffage unfold and enjoying those killer tones.

John your playing extremely inspiring.
I never thought that the Kraken could be much better, but they've done it!! It sounds brilliant
Just realized UA-cam unsubbed me from your channel. No wonder I've missed these newer uploads😤
Channel 2 with boost sounds fucking incredible. Pardon my language, it just slaps.
Gain channel is giving that quacky Yetzer Hara sound. I dig much.
What tuning were you in here? And i think that 4 mic blend on the cab sounds fantastic imo
God damn.....that sounds fucking AWESOME!~
Yeh, really good amp!
To my ear why I like about the kraken is it sounds like a boosted dual rectifier. Still s fat bottom end but tight.
Ah I hear you, but it definitely feels/reacts more like a 5150 to me. However no doubt it does sound pretty great!
John always looks like he rolled out of bed😂. Love ya buddy. Metal master🤘

Have you moved studio?! Love the Kraken and love the playing.
I moved my studio into my second room because it’s easier to keep at a decent temperature. Other room was enormous and difficult to be warm in the winter months
I'm really torn between this amp vs Engl Fireball 25. Wattage is not a big concern as it'll be mostly used at home for recording. Opinions?
I've seen the Super Kraken in a lot of your studio pics. Is that your go to now or something else?
It's so easy to mic up and sounds great so yeh I hit it alot.

At the 10 minute mark is talk about the signal chain, but it’s through a 4x12 cab miced up.
That sounds great; I still wonder how Gain II rolls off (not a criticism).
It takes off where gain I finished but it’s not really meant for the lower gains imo, that’s where Gain I excels

Why no demo of the ch1 gain mode ?
You know until you mentioned this I thought i was the same channel and the middle position was for footswitch ala MKI. Yeh I'm dumb.
So here is a question, which one do you think is better, the victory, or the peavy invective?
