@@MandoDaiOu I bought a pair of steel toe docs not knowing they were made in china. I never bought another pair. I will get some solovair boots for myself soon though. I already got a pair for my kid.
I've been a huge fan of Dr. Martens but after recently finding out that solovair is basically the original Dr Martens I couldn't be more excited to go and do a tour if it is still a thing and grab my self a pair, going for some Black Derby boots!
Bingo. There’s no sense in spending more money for a cheaper Obed the heads. If you have the means and will, spend a larger upfront cost on the higher quality item. I would rather have two great pairs of shoes than 10+ below average ones.
Just got my first pair today. I’m loving them. For the people that said they’re always sold out, why haven’t you used the email notification? The ones I wanted were sold out. Signed up for the notification and within 10 days I got an email they’re back in stock. Bought them right then and there from my cellphone. 4 days and a whole ocean later they were at my door.
@Silver Legion NPS manufactured the real Docs for decades. As I recall at some point, DM decided to move manufacturing overseas for cheaper costs at which point NPS continued to make basically the same boots as Solovair. Now DM makes "Made in UK" docs, but if you want what's closest to the original, it's NPS Solovair...
@@seancarson1212 agreed I've been a docs guy for 30 + years just got my first solovair after my last pair of docs fell apart after a year. These seem like docs were back in the day. Not since they went to Asia, crap now.
Wife and I each bought a pair of Chelsea (Dealer) boots from Solovair recently. Boots are well made and customer service is excellent. Not sure why people are still buying the other British brand's, but manufactured in southeast Asia, boots.
I’ve been wearing the guacho dealer boot for a little while now and I’ve never been happier. They’re comfy and stylish, I can definitely see myself wearing these regularly for years to come. Thank you!

Exactly! I want to buy a pair of new boots and I can't choose between MiE Docs or Solovairs, but because Solovair's boots are constantly "out of stock", I kinda have no choice but to go with Docs

Bonjour ! 😕

My left foot is larger than my right by width. The right is snugg while the left is tight. Do I just put up with the pain until the boot expands to my foot?
I had them made an England pair of Crazyhorse boots I bought in 2001 that finally gave up the ghost in 2022. I purchased a pair of Crazyhorse dr. Martens and they just did not fit my foot. Their sizing has clearly changed somewhere in the last 20 years so I couldn’t wear them. So, I learned about this company and bought a 11.5 size and they fit perfectly. These are fantastic birds and they are just like the old made in England Dr. martens.
