I love Ivypool and Hawkfrost’s dynamic here! They really both shared the bond of being cats living in the shadows of their more popular and well liked siblings (bramble and dove respectively). However instead of continuing to manipulate Ivypool like Tigerstar was doing to him, Hawkfrost decided to end the cycle of abuse and confront Tigerstar head on. Ivypool coming to his aid was really powerful as well. Overall amazing story and animation put together!
Say who was the other cat fighting along side tigerstar? I think I saw another cat who looked like tiger star but without all the scars. Though I don’t think it was brambleclaw
Love this! Not enough of the fandom acknowledges that Hawkfrost was more or less manipulated from the time he was very young. It doesn't excuse how he turned out, but it certainly explains it. :( I'm glad he could break away in this AU

Thea's designs are amazing as always and the colours work so well - and ofc I love good hawkfrost aus so yes here I am. This is as good as if not better than the first hawk au map, I love both of them and I'm so happy they've been produced by a big channel so therefore great animators were chosen. idk if this is right but I would say the x shaped scars on their paws represent how Tigerstar has manipulated them to the point where the scars he left are becoming visible, he uses the manipulation of how Hawk and Ivy feel left out, it scars them mentally, now bc of how much Tiger manipulated them, the scars are now physical
Tigerstar also had that scar on his pad, 0:56 and Thistleclaw had that shape as a mark on his chest. 0:52 Tigerstar was also abused by Thistleclaw, Thistleclaw was the start of this cycle of abuse, that Hawkfrost and Ivypool broke at the end. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Plus the song is cool too. I do prefer "No Angels" as that map just speaks to me on a entirely different and personal level, but I like "Monsters behind Masks" as well, and how Hawkfrost made it out alive in this ending.
Holy shit! When the final battle rolled around, I thought Hawk was a gonner! I’m so relieved he lived holy cow my heart was going so fast. This MAP was so cool, the dynamic with Ivy and Hawk was a surprise to be sure but a welcome one. The animation = Incredible! Everyone did so well it was stunning 😍 The designs are so cool and I love how Hawk’s fur changes to a redish brown in the DF.

All of the events up to Hawkfrost's death remain canon, but afterward, Hawkfrost begins to realize that he is being manipulated by Tigerstar into acting as a "second chance" for his father. From there he chooses to pull away and follow his own morals which result in him turning "good."
I think that Hawkfrost is a good villain, but he is kinda boring, because he is just evil, and that’s all to his character, and in this AU, he isn’t just a villain, and it would’ve made more sense if something like this happened, instead of Firestar, who already had his chance to save the day, saves the day again by killing Tigerstar.
I can't even really enjoy the fourth series, to be perfectly honest. The Hunters could have done so much better with Hawkfrost and Ivypool's relationship dynamic, but they never gave them anything more meaningful than just a surprise betrayl that everyone knew was coming anyways. This was the decision that made me stop reading the books, as I was so disappointed with all the missed opportunities in the fourth arc. For instance, they could've made Ivypool a villain, which in of itself would've been much more fun. They could have went the romance route with Hawkfrost and Ivypool. They could have done something as shown with this map, where Hawkfrost realizes his father is wrong, and shifts sides. Anything besides the way the Hunters decided to do it would've been better, and much more interesting.
I was just watching this and was like "why can you detail the tails in WCUE like in the actual books?" like, bro, the game is abt making ur own cat and sometimes that's all based off of the tail. :/
