The more problematic your freedom is to your culture the harder it is to achieve liberation. Presumably Zen still just works but it has to overcome different contexts, and I argue here, different degrees of restriction, depending on the practitioner. The societies we have created also alter the way we see reality. And they often narrow or distort reality, particularly if someone can make money off of you or use you for status or power. If you are the subject of a confucian government, a European Catholic peasant or a subject of a contemporary capitalist world power then you are definitely having a harder time seeing the truth because of the number of interests vested in you seeing a specific version of reality. The more self-serving intelligent actors are involved in shaping your view, the less reality you can see.
Again, I'm reminded of Karl Marx. "Philosophers have hitherto only interpreted the world in various ways; the point is to change it." goes the 11th thesis on Feuerbach. Only real action, in the real world can represent truth. What you think about it, is always off.
Rather than having children, many young people these days, especially women, believe a career alone, can be more rewarding. This is a weird comparison to the bottle story, never the less, it sprang to mind.
Rather than letting people live their lives to their individual preferences, many old people, especially boomers, believe adherence to outdated values and gender stereotypes alone is more rewarding. This is a weird comparison to your comment, never the less, it sprang to mind.
I think people should be able to do what they want. Nonetheless, I think there is something to following the ways of nature. Sometimes that is a better way to live.
It's not so much that we don't wanna have children, it's that women end up doing most of the parenting and household work, even with careers. also, the world is burning so why bring kids into it?
maybe our present time gives more room for extremes, a double edged sword of 2022-humanity. sort of an overwhelming abundance of beer bottles to distract you from your fellow bugs (although people might have always been like that, only in different circumstances). i guess the key is not being too ambitious and fixated on specifics. bottles an beetles come and go, and you won't mate with most of them, maybe just float along and be
you are in a country that shares a very long border with a country that nato (finland will be a nato member in a month) is in a very real proxy war with, its gotta have a weird vibe, its actually a very big change for finland, basically the country is about to become a protagonist in a war compared to its previous policy of appeasement

What a nice surprise! Didn’t expect a video during your tour. Safe travels!!
Do the female beetles attack the beer bottles, or just talk shit about them?
they laugh at the male beetles for lacking awareness
men are just generally attracted to beer bottles 🍻 I guess
Disciple: "Master, what does all this mean?"
Master: "A bored beetle in a beer bottle."
Explains enlightenment.
Good stuff. Thanks for the time out to post this!
Tanti saluti dall'Italia 🇮🇹🙏
Love the beetle beer bottle analogy

Enjoy your Tour(ku) in Europe
Lmao, well done
the sound was the dmt elf's speaking
Is everything weird or the do we look at everything weirdly? The world/reality per se has no character of its own, right?

Darn, you leave Germany right when I arrive.
i mean beer bottles are kinda sexy

Poor girl seems so nervous.
I assure you, my friend Essi was not nervous at all.
That is finnish calmness.😘
Knowing her well, not nervous at all. Just Finnish mannerisms.

What do you believe that Daniel Hoffmann believes what these beetles believe?

NATO or appeasement, it's all beer bottles. Cheers!
